Angel and Devil

The sudden shout caused the knife to leave Aisling's throat. With that short moment, Aisling moved through the fog as she focussed her magic on managing the nature spirits she had summoned.

She did not mind using her blood to create the frenzy. First, her blood had already been spilt by the serial killer. It would be a shame to waste it, especially when she was in a crisis. Secondly, she believed she had already experienced the worst thing possible.

She did not know if her blood played a role in having her sent to the alternate world. But she did not believe that there was anything worse than what she experienced.

Aisling was not sure if her conjecture was correct, but she was willing to make a guess. In fact, she was certain that she could not lose in the situation. One of her two theories had to be correct, so she was sure that the nature spirits could help her resolve the crisis.
