Chapter 10 - I don't have a husband

Lin Xiao Yi was coloring her nails with polish then blew them so they'll dry quickly.

"Xiao Yi, you were too much. What if they were really rich people. We will definitely get into trouble," Fang Yin said, who had already lay down on the bed first.

"That's why I strongly refuse. Not everything in this world can be bought or exchanged for money. They are too arrogant and that makes me dislike rich people," Lin Xiao Yi said sarcastically.

"Not everyone whose rich are like your husband. Many do not involve wealth in their life," Fang Yin said.

"I don't have a husband. I just thought that it was just a dream when I fell asleep," Lin Xiao Yi said while narrowing her eyes with a look of dislike towards Fang Yin.

"Don't involve the trauma to continues. Be open a little to accept all the circumstances," Fang Yin suggested.

"I wonder what your husband's face looks like."  Fang Yin put her index finger on her lips.

"Do you want to be with him?"  Lin Xiao Yi glanced as she rolled her eyes.

"If you want to replace me later I will find out where he is currently," Lin Xiao Yi added.

"I'm just wondering why you ran away. Your parents must be really worried about you right now," Fang Yin said as she looked at Lin Xiao with a complicated look.  It has been a long time since she wanted to say this but was afraid to offend her.

"Didn't I tell you that he is a very ugly man and his stomach is also bloated. Having two children," Lin Xiao said, who again shuddered at the thought.

"My parents don't care about me anymore since I ran away," Lin Xiao Yi continued with a heavy sigh.

"Did you see his face?" Fang Yin said with a probing gaze.

"Of course, I saw him when I was about to get married. I was disgusted so I didn't want to see his face again when the wedding took place," Lin Xiao Yi said while shuddering at the thought of his face on the wedding day.

No matter how rich that man, Lin Xiao Yi would not sacrifice herself for the family.  After all, the one who should be married was her sister.  That was why she ran away even though she had to be betrayed by her lover.

Knock ... knock ... knock ...

The sound of knocking on the door stopped their ongoing chat.

"Who else visits on nights like this?" Lin Xiao Yi grumbled.

"Let me open it in case it is important. Our neighbors may need help," Fang Yin said as she got up and then walked out of the room.

Just as Fang Yin walked on the last staircase, there was another sound of knocking on the door several times.

"Who?" Fang Yin asked to check if someone was outside.

"I am, miss," a male voice said through the door.

"It was like the male voice earlier," Fang Yin muttered as she inserted the key into the hole then turned it until the door slowly opened.

"Wasn't you the one earlier?" Fang Yin asked as she looked at Yuwen with a frown.

"Forgive us if we disturb you," Yuwen said while bowing his body.

"We?" Fang Yin muttered who didn't see anyone behind Yuwen.

"I only came to accompany Miss Mei-Yin because Miss Lin Xiao Yi didn't want to come to our house," Yuwen said while holding her tiny hand.

Fang Yin lowered her gaze, then she saw a small child who had long eyelashes, bangs, and a round face.  Very beautiful and adorable for her age.

Fang Yin scratched her head, it really didn't matter if the child stays at his house but she was not sure if Lin Xiao Yi was willing to do it.  Earlier she had been angry about how she did not like small children.

After Yuwen explained everything, finally Fang Yin brought Mei-Yin into the house.  Then take her to the second floor.

"Xiao Yi, wake up."  Fang Yin shook the lying body of Lin Xiao Yi, who was wearing a face mask and eyes covered with cucumber slices.

"Hmmm, what's wrong?" Lin Xiao Yi said lazily.

Fang Yin took the cucumber slice that was above Lin Xiao Yi's eyes, causing her to open her eyes.

"That girl?"  Lin Xiao Yi immediately sat down when she saw Mei-Yin sitting on the edge of the bed, blinking her eyes.

"How come you are here?" Lin Xiao Yi said while inching back as if she saw something terrible.
