Chapter 21 - I'm not hungry!

Garden Villa,

Li Zheng Yu massaged his temples whilst watching his beloved daughter who continued to frown and wouldn't eat even though he had intervened to persuade her.

A dinner that was only enjoyed by the two of them tasted even worse and did not make an appetite.  Li Zheng Yu pulled the chair back after putting down his cutlery.  Then stepped into Mei-Yin's chair opposite him.

"Mei-Yin, let father feed you?"  Li Zheng Yu sat on the chair next to his daughter.  It turned out that the nature of his daughter was very similar to his ex-wife who was very stubborn.

"I do not want."  Mei-Yin covered her mouth with her palms and shook her head repeatedly.

"You have to eat to grow up like father," Li Zheng Yu persuaded, who had run out of ways.

"I'm not hungry!"  Mei-Yin pushed the plate Li Zheng Yu was holding until it fell on the floor.

The sound of the collision made a sound that was loud enough to make Ling Zhi went into the dining room, afraid if something might happened. But she just stood there after seeing what happened.

Li Zheng Yu held his breath with his eyes closed so as not to lose control which would make Mei-Yin even angrier.

"If you don't want to eat then what do you want?"  Li Zheng Yu asked as he gritted his teeth tightly.

"I want to go to Aunt Xiao Yi's house," Mei-Yin said with a sullen face.

"Father wanted to ask you, what exactly made you like Aunt Xiao Yi so much?"  Li Zheng Yu asked in a slightly higher tone.

Since his arrival in Hangzhou, Li Zheng Yu had been frustrated by Mei-Yin's constant requests for that girl. Even though Xiao Yi really didn't like her daughter.

Instead of answering, Mei-Yin got down from her chair.  Then stepped out of the dining room.

"Mei-Yin, it's rude to just walk away when an adult is talking to you," Li Zheng Yu said as he rubbed his face into his hair frustratedly.

Li Zheng Yu finally followed his daughter. Didn't want to let Mei-Yin make a fuss.  Just stepping into the living room, Li Zheng Yu saw his daughter who was opening a drawer near the table.

"Mei-Yin, what are you really looking for?"  Li Zheng Yu said as he massaged the space between his brows.

Without a word, Mei-Yin showed him a photo when she was two year old, who was sitting on the lap of a very beautiful woman.

Li Zheng Yu frowned because he didn't understand what Mei-Yin meant.

"Look, Aunt Xiao Yi is very similar to mother," Mei-Yin said while pointing at a smiling woman in the photo.

"They're not similar at all," Li Zheng Yu said flatly without looking at the photo his daughter was holding.

It was a photo of Mei-Yin and his ex-wife several years ago.  Li Zheng Yu didn't want to remember things from the past.  The past should be passed and enough to be a memory in life even though it was very bitter.

"Father, pay close attention. The faces of mother and aunt Xiao Yi are very similar," Mei-Yin said irritatedly because her father didn't want to see the photo.

"If you don't want to take me to Aunt Xiao Yi's house, then I want Father to ask mother to come back," Mei-Yin threatened and then lowered her head, her heart was sad because she had not had time to remember her mother's face but her mother had already left her.

Li Zheng Yu then squatted in front of Mei-Yin.  Can not bear to see her sad because she missed her mother.

Mei-Yin only knew her mother through the photo she was holding.  When Mei-Yin was 2 years old, her mother had already gone overseas and didn't seem to intend to return.

"Alright, now we go to Aunt Xiao Yi's house. Don't be sad anymore," Li Zheng Yu persuaded softly.  There was no intention to make her sad at all.

Mei-Yin straightened her head with a cheerful face again.  As if she got a very good news.

With only a few meters distance, Li Zheng Yu drove a white Porsche Cayman.  Then parked the car on the side of the road right at The Rose Flower's housing No. 10.

Li Zheng Yu was still in the car with Mei-Yin.  Observing the two-story house with a minimalist size that still looked quiet.  The house was also still dark as if it was uninhabited.

"Mei-Yin, looks like Aunt Xiao Yi isn't home yet," Li Zheng Yu said.

"Let's just wait until she gets home," Mei-Yin said innocently, ignoring Li Zheng Yu who had a sour face.

"It's already late, it's not good if we bother other people."

Mei-Yin immediately put on a sullen face because Li Zheng Yu's words made her pessimistic.

"Very well, we'll wait here until morning if necessary," Li Zheng Yu muttered with a long sigh.

They continued to wait up to an hour.  Li Zheng Yu was already sitting restlessly because he couldn't stand sitting for too long, it made him feel very bored.

"Mei-Yin, aren't you sleepy yet?"  Li Zheng Yu said, who had closed his eyes while leaning his head.

"If Father want to sleep then go ahead, I'll stay awake before Aunt Xiao Yi comes home."  Mei-Yin's gaze continued to be on the deserted house.

"Okay, Father will fall asleep," said Li Zheng Yu.
