Behind the golden bars

Sooner or later, Genocide and Thelamia sat on the nearby bench that had a clear fountain just beside it.

Genocide held his hands together and looked down deeply. Silence corroded the air. Then, he expressed himself, while he was feeling the scarred roots and heavy gales wrapping around his chest,

"She's a childhood friend of mine."

Thelamia made a nice smile when she heard those words,

"Oh I see."

Then, Genocode continued,

"Well she's the princess of Veial, a great elf nation that turned into rubble now."

Thelamia touched her lips as she was even more intrigued,

"Mhhhmm, so Veial kingdom is gone now I see."

Genocide opened his hands, making him to show his palms,

"Well yes, that's what I heard from mom."

He took a deep breath and resumed afterwards,

"And yes, she was held captive and put into the dungeon like the rest of some Queens and important princesses from different nations who lost during the Crysalis war."

Thelamia nodded,

"Go on."

Genocide scratched the back of his head,

"Well I was still a kid and she was in her teens I guess? So I don't know much, that place was known as a dungeon."

Then, he remebered something,

"For some reason, I had never seen dad go there, ever in my life."

Thelamia was made to have doubts in her thoughts,

"I guess Zero was loyal to Julie all along."

Maybe?

Genocide made a weak smile breezing along the quiet winds in the night,

"Out of the other nobilities of other nations, Fae was the first one I befriended. We had tons of laugh and happy times when I visit her from time to time."

Thelamia just rolled her eyes,

"Mmmhhhmmm...happy times together."

He just assumed her sarcastic remark and told in a jiffy,

"No-no we're not doing anything perverted. Hells, I still don't know anything perverted since I was still an innocent boy back then."

Genocide sighed,

"Getting back to the subject, I kinda had grown attached to her already to be honest."

Then, he scratched the back of his head once more,

"Though, my mom knew that I was visiting Fae in the dungeon from time to time."

Thelamia just smiled with sinister little girl's face,

"Oof busted."

Genocide clasped his hands together,

"Strange thing was, mom didn't get angry. Instead, she just told me that I'd have an arranged marriage with Fae when I reach my twenties."

Thelamia touched her lips once more and made a smile,

"Interesting."

Genocide looked away,

"Though there was a catch."

She tilted her head sidewards,

"Catch?"

Genocide crossed his arms,

"I should let her out from the dungeon, but she should not be captured by Destruct within ten years at a certain hiding spot."

His head nodded with confidence, while he was looking above,

"When I told that to Fae, she grew interested and planned the escape thoroughly. She even accepted to be my future bride."

He caught his breath and continued later on,

"Not much soon, we escaped together with the plan in hand. We stayed at a very cozy place in a village where we could trust people, where it was my trusty cousin's village."

Thelamia was a little startled and intrigued,

"Raze's village then?"

Genocide nodded,

"Yep, he's the person I could definitely trust and treat as a good friend. Even if he looks scary to others and he's in his teens before too. And yea, Fae is a close friend of Xola and Xiera too."

Sooner or later, he sighed,

"As we stayed there for months and had enjoyable moments. I grew confident. Fae also told me that I should go back and she'll wait for me when the perfect time comes."

He gave Thelamia headpats all of a sudden,

"Oh yeah and that should be our next journey Thamy. To meet my long awaited bride Fae."

Thelamia pouted,

"Oh okay she does look beautiful hmph!"

Genocide noticed a glimpse that Thelamia was feeling a tad bit jealous. Thereon, he rubbed her head as she was a pet cat. Then, he resumed his story,

"Sadly, lady luck wasn't on my side. Destruct got a hold of her somehow and won the deal. That means meeting with Fae at that secret place will no longer happen."

He made a weak smile but sorrowful tear fragments poured out,

"Now my future marriage with Fae is void."

Thelamia was saddened as well,

"I'm very sorry to hear that."

Genocide brushed away his tear,

"Well it happens. Now Fae looks-like a different person now. The happy-go-lucky Fae is no more. And she was replaced by a hollowed empty shell of a submissive slave now."

Thelamia looked disappointed and she was down with pity as well. Genocide felt that the atmosphere was turning quite depressing, so he smiled at her and rubbed her head,

"But I got ya now! My li'l pet SELF-PROCLAIMED GODDESS."

When Thelamia heard those insults, she was entirely pissed. She started to get up and act like a spoilt and irritated teenager.

"How much do I have to tell you! I'm a REAL GODDESS!"

She pointed at him forcefully.

Genocide just slapped his laps and laughed hard,

"Yeah, I was just teasing ya. I strongly agree that you are our Goddess here."

Though, Genocide was a little surprised inside his mind,

"Riiiight, that was strange. She didn't react when I called her pet."

Though, he wasn't bothered that much. Instead, he brought out his golden smartphone and asked her,

"Oh yeah, why don't we take a picture here. It's a good spot, don't ya think?"

Thelamia wondered and touched her lips,

"Yea why not?"

Soon, Thelamia sat on the bench beside him. Then, Genocide raised his phone up high. After that, Thelamia felt that a warm hand was caressing her shoulder. She noticed in snap that Genocide was touching her shoulder. Instead of becoming furious, she liked it instead.

As Genocide was about to take a picture, Thelamia made a kitten's smile and made a nice peace sign.

Thereupon, both of them looked-like a real couple to the other lords who were seeing them at the bench.

As the two were done taking a nice picture, Genocide looked at his phone's screen,

"There we go."

He scoffed as he was a prankster,

"Really Thamy, your smile in this pic is beautiful. You're sorta another person here."

Thelamia's ears clapped and she felt proud,

"Thanks."

Though, she was irritated afterwards,

"Geh?! Wait! You're trying to tell me that I don't look good in personal?!"

Genocide just scratched his lower chin with a grin,

"Maybe?"

Thelamia was furious and acted out as a tantrumming little girl to Genocide,

"You!"

Thereupon, she started to rapidly hit Genocide with her soft girly hits of a little child.

Though, Genocide didn't feel any kind of pain. Instead, he liked the reaction of Thelamia and he just laughed his hardest,

"Ahahahaha! That tickles Thamy! Are you even trying to hit on me?"

Thelamia was even more angry,

"I'm not hitting on you pervert!"

Not much soon, Destruct and Fae moved along the paved hallways seeped in the night. Destruct just ignored Thelamia and Genocide.

As for Genocide, he just focused on playing along with Thelamia's angered state,

"C'mon Thamy, I thought you were an all powerful Goddess! Hit me with the best you've got!"

As for Fae, she made a weak smile behind when she saw Thelamia and Genocide acting like kids at the nearby fountain,

"Make better memories now, Genocide. Also, never let go of her smile even if the worst shall come."

Then, Destruct and Fae's presence can no longer be sensed.

As Thelamia was tired of hitting Genocide, she panted hard.

Genocide remembered something,

"By the way, where's that kitten ball Spheera?"

Thelamia touched her lips and looked above the clouds,

"Err...Spheera said she's going to take a stroll. But I think she should be here right about—."

She was interrupted by Spheera's android girl's scream that was getting louder each second,

"HUUUUWAAAAAHHHH! THAMY! YOU'RE THING IS HEADI G STRAIGHT THIS WAY!"

Thelamia caught her little ball kitten assistant.

Genocide and Thelamia were just dumbfounded.

Suddenly, they felt that the ground was shaking, such as a giant T-Rex was stomping its foot upon the land.

Genocide noticed that a giant moving shade of darkness overshadowed the whole castle. When he looked above, he just sighed with a tired look on his face,

"Oh great...Thamy, I can't believe you collect stuff like this."
