Forsaken Goddess and Former Hero

Gales of anchoring steel started to swirl around the room of presrige and nobility.

The Goddess shut her eyes for a second,

"You've killed millions of people."

When she opened her eyes, she had the look of all seriousness,

"Betrayed your destiny."

She grabbed the lying sword nearby. Her eyes witnessed that Zero nodded,

"And you even scarred my best friend!"

The king stood up and shut his eyes, readying for his demise.

Thelamia grit her teeth and charged at Zero,

"DIE YOU DEMON!"

When Zero noticed something amiss, he opened his eyes. He was filled with immense shock as he witnessed that Thelamia just stabbed the cushion near his unscathed left cheek.

Zero perceived that Thelamia started to cry out crystal fragments of pity,

Thelamia tilted her head sidewards, while she was pouring out tears of sadness,

"I know what you did was unforgivable, but...Geno and Julie would be sad."

She flung away the sword. Then, she wrapped her arms around him while she was weeping non-stop.

Zero was wholly touched by the noble action of the Goddess upon him. Though, he returned his composure soon enough,

"So that's your response I see."

He looked at Thelamia and patted her shoulder,

"Now Thamy, I have a favor to ask of you. Why don't we visit a foreign land?"

Thelamia was just dumbstruck,

"Eh?"

Sooner or later, they arrived at the paved outskirts of a mystical kingdom ridden in savannah. Thelamia was wearing a pink hood that cloaked her whole body. She turned to her left and noticed that Zero was fully covered by a cloak of the abyss,

"So, Zero...where'd you take me now?"

Zero nodded,

"Revelas city."

Thelamia's eyes widened and she shook his shoulders,

"ARE YOU INSANE?! You're the true enemy of Revelas? Why'd you take me here too huh!"

Zero just patted her shoulders calmly,

"I just wanted to show you something Thamy. Now let's go before the Revelas knights grew suspicious of us."

He grabbed her hand and Thelamia just followed her escort. While they were traversing the paved ground, she was witnessing that the ambiance was different compared to the kingdom of Vampia. Everything was bustling around the fresh market. People were laughing and idling, as they were carefree citizens in an open city port in medieval times.

Thereon, Thelamia was made to be alarmed in her thoughts,

"These people are so different than the ones in Vampia. They look like...they're alive!"

Later, Thelamia and Zero saw the marching crimson and azure knights patrolling the streets. Thankfully, they had already arrived at a certain shabby inn before the lnoghts take notice of them. The two of them entered the room that was directed to them by the innkeeper. When they arrived at the designated room, there they saw a suspicious guy in a hood sitting on a wooden chair.

Zero approached the suspicious person,

"Do you have that said artifact?"

The mysterious guy nodded. He revealed a miniature golden statue of a maternal Goddess with golden wings on top of the table nearby. Then, he put down another miniature statue of a very young Goddess made out of silver afterwards.

Zero paid the guy with coins. Then, the guy left.

Zero turned to look at his Goddess companion,

"You can put down your hood now Thamy."

Thelamia was startled for a second,

"Oh okay."

She did as she was told afterwards. Her glistening pink hair comparable to the luxurious dazzling silk was revealed once more.

She went near Zero and pointed at the miniature statues left by the strange man,

"So what are those things Zero?"

Zero just crossed his arms, with a serious look on his face,

"That, I wanna know as well.

Though, Thelamia had even more questions,

"And I wanna know who was that guy before?"

Zero just held his hands together,

"Just an informant. Don't worry, he can be trusted."

Though, Thelamia didn't bother upon thatndiscussion much. Instead, she glanced at the miniature statues of the said deities,

"Looking at those, they look-like idols of some Goddesses."

Zero crossed his arms,

"Yet, I don't see any resemblance to you and Julie."

Then, Thelamia continued the flow of discussion,

"And most of our statues are either made out of white marble or crystal."

Zero was convinced,

"These two statues must be from a foreign world. We all know there are other Goddesses from different worlds. But spreading their influence onto other worlds than their own is prohibited."

Thelamia sat on the shabby bed,

"Yea, and that's what we've been told in Celestia Heavens."

Though, she was boggled in her thoughts afterwards,

"But why is that other statue so similar to the one we've found from the ruins?"

Who knows.

Suddenly, the Goddess herself heard some kind of rustle and bustle outside the window.

Zero suggested her something,

"If you're going to check it oit Thamy, I advise you to cover yourself.

She did as she was told. There after, shepopped out her cute head through the window. There, she saw a crowd below ans there was a mystical preacher propagating his cause,

"Everyone! Thanks to our new Goddesses, we have been blessed more tha ever!"

The preacher walked left and right, giving glory to the heavens,

"We're more prosperous! We're living our lives to the fullest! And most importantly, oir Goddesses hear oir prayers!"

The crowd went wild,

"Yeah! Better than the previous ones we had! Heck! They're not even Goddesses! They're just fakes!"

"Our Goddesses we worship now are the true Goddesses!"

"He's right! Our new Goddesses don't like slavery! Unlike those Vampian fiends and their wretched king!"

There after, the preacher shouted high in the sky,

"Let us raise the statue of our new Goddesses! The Goddesses of gold and silver!"

Everybody outside raised their ministatues that were similar to the ones Thelamia had perceived before.

Not much soon, Thelamia had stopped watching the event outside. She sat on the bed and she had a frown of disappointment,

"They're worshipping other Godesses. Do these people really hate us?"

Zero went close to the moping Thelamia and tried to cheer her up, as he was a supportive black knight,

"Thamy, all I could say is, these people have their own reasons to hate you. They suffered a lot when you eere gone."

Thelamia just looked away,

"Zero, could I spend some time alone?"

Zero had second thoughts at first, but he agreed on her demands later on,

"I understand."

Thelamia made a faded smile,

"Thanks."

There after she left the inn. While she was filled with sorrow and disappointment to herself, she looked around. There, she witnessed lots of joyful people living their lives to the fullest. She was deep in her mind afterwards,

"These people, they're living better without us. Maybe we're not really needed after all."

She walked along the streets some more. Soon, she found the same people who were preching before at the nearby distance. She thought of something and and clenched her fists eagerly,

"If I follow them, maybe they can help me to become a better Goddess. A Goddess that they would really want."

She followed the males behind as she was a sly fox. Though, in all reality her sneaky ways were so obvious, since she was just hiding behind each crate near around the area.

Thankfully, they haven't notice her yet.

Thelamia saw that they had arrived at a front door of a small chapel. They entered it, but Thelamia was barred from entry, evennif she was trying to enter casually.

She had no choice but to retreat. Though, she had hatched an idea,

"Since I can't enter the front. I'll try sneaking my way in! Yay! I'm a genius!"

She entered through the back door that was unguarded somehow. When she opened the door leading to the basement, she traversed through a long winding passage of pitch darkness,

"This is a long tunnel alright."

Sooner or later she saw a golden door. When she opened it, she was filled with shock and surprise,

"This is?!"
