+31 Dinner

We entered the huge palace the insides of palace were kept simple and minimalistic. There was another small palace for the previous head that is Garius's father , he lived their with his wife. The main palace was for Garius's siblings he had 1 brother and 2 sisters , on our way here he talked a lot about them.

The Kingdom was pretty modern their was no polygamous system in Noble Families. If the Lord had a concubine on his side the other Noble Families didn't accepted him as a Lord and they would decide his punishment. Having concubine was considered to be disrespect towards his wife.

He personally aided me for the palace tour as a guide , the fact that I was from other world made me his special guest. After walking around the palace for 30 minutes I was finally escorted to my room.

The butlers or maids didn't look at me with any kind of disrespect just cause I looked like a commoner. They were well behaved and didn't question their Lord's judgement of bringing me here.

The room I was going to live in was at the end of the 1st floor of palace , right out of my room's window was the training ground. Nobody was out there training at this time , after settling in the room I went to the dining room with my mask still on. The butler personally escorted me to the dining room , maids lined up against the wall. It truly was a palace fit for nobility , the etiquette of the maids and butlers really could tell how much they cared about their Lord.

When I reached the dining room no one was present their , the butler pulled a random seat for me. I sat their and waited for a minute or two and finally Lord Garius arrived I stood up as to show him respect. But he just casually came up to me and put his arm around my neck and said ,

"You know I told you to drop the formalities and all , I'll be your teacher from tomorrow onwards so just call me teacher or master anything you'd prefer."

I nodded and said ,

"Teacher would be alright."

He looked at me and let out a big smile on his face , I couldn't tell why he did that.

After Garius's arrival all 3 of his siblings came to the table. I felt kind of awkward sitting first before they could even arrive. Garius went ahead and sat on the main chair which was only for the Lord. Noticing my awkward face Garius was able to know how I was feeling and said ,

"You don't need to feel awkward we've tradition here of letting the guest sit first on the dining table as a sign of respect and so that the guest could get comfortable of the surrounding."

'Hah'

I let out a huge sign after hearing Garius's words he further continued pointing towards a little girl around 7-8 years old with black eyes and orange hair colour of Serven Family and said ,

"This is my youngest sibling Hasel Serven , she's the energetic one I talked about. She's the troublemaker of the house."

Hearing Garius's remark Hasel pouted disagreeing to her brother's comment. Garius didn't stop there and continued waving his hand in the direction of boy who had an innocent look on his face.

"He is my younger brother Novin Serven he's 13 years old. He may look innocent but be careful with his innocence he always gets his things done by others , basically he's good at manipulation. By the way Novin I've done your assignments you got so come to my office to get them."

"Brother can't you bring them to my room."

"Aww , sure I'll personally give you them right after the dinner."

'Oi aren't you the one getting manipulated here.'

"And then finally this is my sister Lecilia Serven she's 17 years old. She is more on the prideful side , don't go near unless you want to get killed by her. I don't mind giving her to y-"

Just as he was going to complete his sentence a fireball aimed towards his face hit him.

"Idiot brother don't go saying things like this , a low level like him who I don't even know why would I want to marry him."

Seeing her reaction Garius recovered from the fireball he was hit with and said ,

"Ah right I'm sorry and Excess she's also one of the most powerful mage in the whole Kingdom. Of course not as powerful as me hehe."

After introducing everyone Garius looked at me as if telling me to introduce myself. After the siblings took their seats I stood up and introduced myself.

'I don't know how to introduce myself to Nobles , I guess I'll just casually introduce myself.'

"Hi , I'm Excess and I'm here to train with Lord Garius. I'll be in your care."

The first one to reply to my introduction was none other than Lecilia.

"Training with brother!!! what type of training are you here for what is your class? what family are you from? is it a retainer family or some other Noble family?"

Seeing calm Lecilia lose her composure made me think. She regained her composure and drank some water.

'Does Garius not have disciple or is it not allowed?'

"Ah Excess here is from another world , his class is mage but he does physical attacks with his dagger. He's here for the Serven swordmage training."

Hearing his word's Lecilia splattered the water she was drinking. Nobody would've believed If a person would've told them that he was from another world , but for the Nobles it was different they knew the existence of another world.

"R-Really from another world!!! How is it different from this world? what creature are in the other world!? does magic exist there!? D-Did someone named Mercedes visited there!?"

I thought Lecilia as a cool headed person but not anymore , I could really see the excitement on her face. After hearing that I was from another not only her but other 2 siblings seemed interested too. Instead of me Garius replied to the 3 surprised siblings.

"Now now , he can't tell about his world now and on our way he also told me that the world our ancestors told us of and his world is different. So he shouldn't know anything about Mercedes."

After hearing Garius's reply Lecilia seemed a bit disappointed because of the fact that I didn't come from the same world that Mercedes went. It looked like she looked up to Mercedes , which was understandable as he was a Legend.

"Lecilia theirs one way to get information out of him just marr-"

Again a fireball hit him in his face.

'A well-deserved fireball.'

Looking at Lecilia I gave her a thumbs up telling her that I appreciated what she did. For some reason Garius was pushing her to get in a relationship with me.

'Is it cause I'm from another world , no I can't even give them valuable information as they can't even enter our world I've to make it clear.'

"Lord Garius I can't give you information of my world as it would be useless information to you. I'm making it clear right now you can't enter our world , only we can enter from that world to here. So even if you pushed us to be together you can't get anything useful out of it."

After hearing my words everybody in the room didn't speak a word , in the silence Garius looked at me with a smile on his face and said ,

"So that's what you think of me? Forget it I was doing this to- you'll understand in the future I'm sorry if I said something wrong to both of you."

At that time I didn't know the intentions behind him pushing us together but it became clear as I lived in the Serven Palace.

Even though Garius said he was sorry for his actions he still didn't stop their and teased his sibling and occasionally me while having the dinner.

Knowing that it was a game I didn't expect it's food having flavour but it didn't compromise with the taste of the food , of course it didn't fill my stomach but it did taste good. During the dinner we talked about the stages to become swordmage in further details. And that's how my first day at Serven Palace came to end or atleast that's what I thought.
