"Then Excess why don't we start with our training."

"Yes Lo-Teacher."

I followed him alongside his butler , he was heading towards the dining room it looked like he was going to have his breakfast now. He sat on the main chair made for the Lord of the Family , the breakfast was served before him. He took a sip of the juice infront of him and looked at me who was standing besides the butler. I bowed a little showing him respect.

"So Excess do you think you've to be worthy enough to learn the Serven Swordmage Techniques?"

"That depends upon what worthy enough is for you Teacher. Whether it is performing A-Rank Magic or killing a Mid-Garfon's or good swordsmanship , my qualification for the techniques depends upon you."

Hearing my answer a smirk appeared on his face , he looked at me with his sharp eyes and stood from the dining table. I didn't move a inch and stood there bowing my head down , he went behind me and placed his left hand on my back.

'Is he going to op-'

Suddenly I felt a strange tingly feeling in my back , the tingly feeling then changed into pain.

"Aaaaa-"

I tried to scream but the butler infront of me put a cotton ball in mouth , the pain in my back starting increasing as time went. The violent mana opened my mana channel's luckily I already had some of Lecilia's mana in those channel's which healed me and decreased the sensation of pain.

After 5 minutes of straight minutes of Garius's mana running wild in my channel's , it was over. The saliva dripping out of mouth finally stopped as the butler took out the cotton ball out of mouth. I dropped to my knees and laid on the ground still feeling the pain with my eyes closed.

I imagined mana flowing through my channel's and something started coming out of core , I opened my eyes and saw my body covered in white light.

Garius who was leaving the dining room turned around seeing the blinding white light emitting from Excess's body.

'Huh!? White light? I was pretty sure he would be pure dark attribute.'

Then something clicked in his head.

'Oh then it must because of that.'

He looked at Excess who was laying down on the floor and said ,

"This completes one of the requirements, I'll personally train you after you kill 301 Garfon's that are stronger than you. I don't care whether it is normal Garfon's or Mid-Garfon's kill 301 and come back alive if you can. If you're able to come back , I'll give you something better than what I intended to."

Saying that he left the room with his butler following him behind leaving Excess alone in the room. On his way to the Royal Room his butler asked ,

"Your Highness are you sure giving him a task like that."

"Do you believe in the decision I made Heres?"

"Yes Your Highness. But still giving him a challenge that a legend like Mercedes left behind for his disciples."

Garius let out a huge sigh and looked behind at Heres following him and said ,

"What Mercedes left behind wasn't a challenge for his disciples , it was a daily routine for his disciples. Killing 300 monsters stronger than themselves , never fight one on one but fight against multiple opponents and many more like this were Mercedes's daily routine which he followed without missing."

"And I intend to make it his daily routine , didn't you see the divine white light emitting it was Lecilia's which influenced his attribute awakening. He's the only one in the world who has two opposing attributes Light and Dark."

'She should be on her way here.'

"If you're done with your questions let's go now."

Numerous messages appeared infront of me but I couldn't keep up with them as I was starting to lose my consciousness. I tried to get up and look at the messages but I couldn't , I fell down on my back and could only see the chandelier on the ceiling as my eyes closed.

I could feel somebody's warmth on my left hand , the cool wind blowing towards me made me embrace the warmth. In that moment I didn't need anything other than the warmth in this cold room. I opened my eyes to to see who it was and was surprised to see Lecilia's red face she was shaking with anger.

She pushed me away and got away from me.

"Y-You i-immoral bastard don't you have m-manners , what were you trying to do."

'Why is he searching for me everywhere? I'm trying to dodge him because of what happened yesterday , can't he understand how I feel.'

After few minutes he finally gave up on searching me and I could finally relax. After few minutes I heard a sound and followed it to see what happened out of curiosity. The sound came from dining room , first it was a blast sound but then I could hear someone screaming.

I ran towards the dining room and found Excess lying on the floor , I could see the white light he was emitting. It was none other than the Divine Light , I knew this cause I was a Light attribute user.

'But I thought he was a dark attribute... don't tell me did my attribute had an impact on him.'

Without wasting time I used my healing spell to heal him , it looked like all his mana channel's were opened now. I used a spell to move him to my room and looked at his injury's.

"The places where mana channel's were present are little swelled up , did he try to force open the channel's again?"

I sensed the mana in him and found out some residual fire attribute.

'It must have been brother Garius , his method of opening is really commendable.'

I took his mask of and saw his sleeping face. He looked like he was having a bad dream , I could tell that seeing expression's on sleeping face. I laid down beside him and closed my eyes , suddenly he wrapped his arms around me and squeezed me. I saw his expression changing his face became more relaxed and he looked comfortable.

I could feel my face getting red , for some reason I too felt comfortable and didn't wanted him to leave me. Suddenly he opened his eyes I couldn't handle the embarrassment and pushed him away. I got away from the bed and started complaining how immoral he was , after few minutes he got up from the bed and kissed my hand and said ,

"Princess I'll be going far away to train for few days , I hope you'll be safe till I come stronger."

I couldn't understand this feeling I had in my heart but looking at his face I couldn't help but wish for his wellness.

"I'll looking forward to your return then."

Without saying anything he left the room putting up his mask.

I couldn't stop blushing hearing her words , I quickly put on my mask trying to hide my face and left the room. Although I didn't know what Lecilia and I were for each other I couldn't help but be with her.

"I'll be sure to return stronger for you."
