+39 Grind : Forest of Kin ²

In IG headquarters , President Rick sat in his office looking at his computer's screen in which a video played of a young woman killing a bunch of High-Garfon's. She used some kind of spear emitting dark ominous aura , with ease she sliced the High-Garfon's neck separating the head from their body.

Seeing the massacre Rick took a sip of the wine and thought ,

'It really was a good idea to put monsters stats on real settings , with this these guys will get a good training.'

"So you finally decided to appear huh."

After using Fireball to wake up the sleeping Mid-Garfon , I focused my eyes on the Mid-Garfon to check it's stats. After a second one message appeared before me.

It's stats were nearly the same as me but mine were better , with the last few battles I had with the normal Garfon's I was able to get my Strength and Intelligence above 120. Looking at the Mid Garfon who stood tall before I thought ,

'I wonder how much Exp the Mid will give.'

'I have enough MP and HP to take on a group of Garfon , but Mid-Garfon is different. I can't face him right now not with my low strength and Intelligence , I need to find a way to use the sword too or else this training wouldn't mean anything.'

I waked up the Mid so that I can see it's stats the next time I face him without wasting my spells , I also had a doubt that I wanted to clear. To do that I walked further in the forest and tried to find one more Mid-Garfon. After few minutes walking in north direction I was able to find one more Mid-Garfon.

I focused my eyes on it and was able to clear my doubt.

It happened in the previous version too , the first time I encountered a Mid-Garfon I couldn't see it's information. But after encountering it once I was able to see it's info , I couldn't say for sure if it happened when I encountered the Noble as my level was too low.

I didn't go further in and headed back to find more of the normal Garfon's. I first located bunch of their groups and marked the trees near their location with my mana. With mana control I was able to use mana more freely and sometimes do things that weren't mentioned by system.

I could mark someone or something with my mana and could track them unless they've not removed my mark. With that I was able to find 28 bases of normal Garfon's with most of them concentrated in the east of the forest. 35 bases of Mid-Garfon's which were very hard to mark as the Mid were quite sharp with their instincts.

After marking all the bases I started with my training , but before that I'd to rest. Roaming around big vast forest made me tired , it was evening already so I laid down on the grass and relaxed my muscles for first time in the whole day.

The night was a horrible time to sleep as the monster became more active , so I decided to sleep for 4 hours now and fight during night too. I looked at setting sun , the birds flying together and a random thought came to my mind.

'Why couldn't Garius learn the Serven Swordmage Techniques. From where I look he has higher stats than me and If he does training like killing 300 monsters he should've met requirements within months of his training.'

Garius was a genius that was a well known and I could believe in that title when I saw his techniques the day I met him. His Intelligence shouldn't have been less than 250...no even 250 is low for him , his Intelligence was easily more 300. The same went for his monstrous strength.

'Then why couldn't he become swordmage , was it something else he wanted to achieve? Also what was the reward he mentioned?'

A lot of questions popped in my head and after thinking for few minutes there was only one conclusion I could come to.

"I need some sleep."

With that I dozed off on the grass in my training armour , the temperature was just perfect neither hot nor cold. After sleeping for 4 hours I woke up and stretched my arms giving a yawn. I warmed up a bit and left to kill all the monsters present on my marks.

I planned to choose the closest one first , so I started concentrating some mana on my left hand. I could feel my MP going down and a mana taking a shape of ball in my hand. Normally it would've been transparent but with my attribute awakening I could see the ball split into half black and half white colour.

Slowly realeasing my mana off my hand I sensed the closest mark near me and connected it with my mana. I couldn't see it connect but it felt like a thread was formed between the mark and my hand which would guide me. I followed it and got to the location within 30 seconds.

I stood on the branch of the tree looking down on the group of 20 or so Garfon's. I removed the mark off my tree and jumped from the branch I was standing on shouting ,

"Boom Blast"

A wave spread through the air blowing away many of the Garfon present in 1m range. Some of them were slammed into the tree and got damaged , it was same when I saw Garius and that unknown man fighting. I could see 3 Garfon's still standing before me.

'They must be 10 level higher than me.'

'Boom Blast' was only applicable to those who were not 10 level higher than me , this quality of the skill helped me filter out the weak ones so that I could kill the stronger monsters first.

"Haste. Insane Humanity. Dark Fuse."

Calling out these three skills my body started to change , the demon mask I wore looked as if blood was pouring out of it. The small horn coming out from the left side grew bigger when the skill was activated. Golden aura surrounded my whole body , my left eye colour changed to black with my iris colour changing to shining gold colour.

If any spectator would've seen my form I would've been labelled as a demon , with the horns and black gold eye that conclusion would've made sense. Few messages appeared before me after the activation of all the three skills.

「 Dark Fuse form couldn't be completely achieved cause of Light attribute's interruption 」

「 Dark Fuse's effect will be decreased by 20% 」

'I knew something like this was going to happen.'

The clash of 2 opposite attribute magic skill was something I didn't face until now because I was careful about using multiple skills. But I wanted to try to see what would happen and the result was clear , it de-buffed my skill.

'So my stats will get increased by 48% now , still acceptable.'

With that I turned my head towards the highest level Garfon and with a spark , crimson flames covered him. Suffering from those flames he cried out loud making his comrades see something they never witnessed.

I ran my imagination wild and tried to cover my whole body with 'Haste'. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath in imagining the 'Haste' skill's mana flowing through all my mana channel's , the glowing purple colour slowly covered my golden body.

「 You're in a Focused mode Mana Recovery will be doubled 」

「 A new skill is created 」

I didn't pay attention to any of the messages as I was in a completely focused state. Opening my eyes , I jumped a few times testing the difference and on the last jump just when my legs landed I shot myself towards the burning Garfon. The flames didn't affect me as I wore the demon mask which controlled them.

With 2 daggers in my hand I cut through the monsters skin at a speed I never thought of achieving. The lightning fast attacks almost created sparks when brushed through the monsters hard skin. Sometimes stabbing , sometimes slicing I got total of 18 hits on the monster in 8 seconds which killed the monster.

Even though I used more than half of my mana , for some reason I could feeling mana surging in even faster. With my narrow eyes I looked at the other standing Garfon's and said ,

"You are next."

I disappeared from my original location and appeared above the level 28 Garfon , as I descended I aimed both of my daggers at it's right shoulder. No monster could react seeing me smoothly cutting through the right half of the monster , it's bones were cleanly cut by the blade.

I felt something I'd never felt , many ideas popped in my head , I could feel every change happening around me. In this state I was able to wipe all the monsters near me in just 30 seconds , it was as if daggers were part of my body. Just then something clicked in my head.
