+53 Grind : Forest of Kin ¹¹

With the powerful combination of 'Inhuman Instincts' and 'Dark Fuse' I was somehow able to clear the bases. Even though this method worked better than I expected as the monster's level increased , their defense became higher.

This was a factor I didn't consider at first , but as I progressed my skills leveled up which helped me to keep up with stronger monsters. It took total of 14 days for 'Inhuman Instincts' to level up.

This skill was a passive skill which meant that I could use it whenever I wanted and could gain Exp. For other skills like 'Crimson Fireball' or 'Cut' the skill was needed to be used on a monster so that it would gain Exp.

Even though I used it whenever it was off the cooldown the Exp needed was higher than I expected. Today was 23rd day of my training, almost all the base's were cleared and only one left remained. The special quest given by Garius was was also going pretty good.

「 Kill 301 monsters with higher level than you [292/301] 」

'Finally , let's quickly finish this and return to the palace.'

Thinking about the palace Lecilia's face flashed in my head , by just thinking about her a smile appeared on my face.

'Hey , how the f*ck do you know about that? You... don't tell me you can even see my dreams while reading mind.'

'Hah , just being with you is pain.'

With that I stood up from the grass I was lying on , during the game I slept during afternoon or morning. The reason was simple , during night I'd to be extra careful as the monsters became more active then and because of that I couldn't sleep.

I started following the mana mark I left near the base on my way I encountered a couple of normal Garfons and one Mid-Garfon. After jumping from tree to tree I was finally near the base. I stopped to take a breath while thinking ,

'I wonder how many Mid's would be present on the base , how many do you think there will be?'

'Even I could guess that much , I was asking for a precise number. Are you really a Cress? You bring shame to our name , Devian.'

He didn't say anything for few seconds , it looked like he was using some kind of technique to search for Mid's.

'Damn it , did someone got there before me? No that's not possible this area is prohibited to everyone except adventurers , I didn't even see any adventurer. Devian , is there anyone else near the site?'

'Lets just check.'

I rushed towards the base and increased my speed , I was trying to conserve my SP as much as possible. But hearing that somone already was on the base I didn't care about my SP anymore and ran without paying attention to it.

After reaching the base what I saw surprised me , all the Mid's were lying on the ground covered in green blood. This was usually how the base looked like after fully clearing it , the reason I was surprised was because the Mid's were half eaten which meant it was-

"Awakened Mid."

The human presence Devian sensed was none other than awakened Mid we encountered before , it or should I say he stood alone with a blood on his hands. The faceless monster 'Garfon' now had a face , it was just like any other human but with sharp teeths and black eyes.

The Mid gave chills for some reason , I knew that he was strong. Last time I didn't even get to see it's information because of how pressuring his killing intent was. He looked different than before.

'He looks more human-like.'

"What!?"

'The awakened kill humans?'

Just when I was thinking about it something clicked in my head , it was related to the bloodline quest I received.

'Is this one of Devian's regret , he could've saved many lives if he taught the monsters more about their existence but he didn't.'

'Damn , I knew Mid's ate wild animals but I didn't think they would eat humans.'

'I can see why Garius is always so busy even after our dinner he went straight to his office , he must've his hands filled.'

"Hurmaaa , ya finally came here. Hahahaha"

In Serven Palace's Dining room sat two people , Garius on the Lord's chair and Head of Jered Family to his right. The maids placed their dishes infront of them with wine as a beverage. They started eating while talking about something important.

"Lord Garius , you shouldn't keep someone that dangerous besides you , that monster will kill anyone to get what he wants. Even though he didn't say that infront of me the chill he gave me was something I can't forget , he even blocked one of attacks when I was in 'Zen mode'."

Although all Excess said was that he wanted to be Lecilia the aura Devian gave was terrified Calius. He thought that Excess was the one giving murderous aura and assumed that all the words he said were filled with hatred. Excess's real feeling didn't got through meat headed Calius , but Lord Garius though differently.

"Oh! Really? He will definitely make a good brother, it'll be reassuring to leave Lecilia with him."

'Calius must've been on alert because of the mask , that mask is definitely a demonic mask. Does my territory contains such items? Hah , I've a lot of word to do.'

"Calius , do you think he's someone that you can't kill?"

Calius took a second and replied ,

"I don't think he is someone I can't kill , I could just kill him with my stealth if I wanted to."

"Ho , that easy."

"Garius this is me speaking as your trainer. He definitely has a spirit around him , I don't know if he obtained it from someone or inherited it. But that is most powerful spirit I've ever sensed , I couldn't even tell if it was Human or Demonic spirit."

'Strongest he's ever seen!? Calius , the most powerful force of Serven Family , the person who explored the place where Mercedes disappeared and returned safely. He's the only person who fought against Vampires and won , it wouldn't be wrong to say that he's stronger than the current Kildian's head.'

'For him to say that Excess posses such spirit is something to be alert about.'

"He didn't have a spirit around him when he left for his training , something must've happened in the forest. Anyways anything else you want to share?"

"Ah yes , it's about princess. How is she doing now-a-days?"

"Hah , she's making herself ready to get married to the strongest family."

Both of them let out a huge sigh.

"But still princess grew out to be such a beauty."

"Yeah , I know. My sister's beautiful."

With that they started complimenting the princess for over half hour , that was until the butler came in and interrupted their conversation.

"Excuse me your highness , the head of Kildian Family is here to meet you. He's currently sitting in the waiting room."

'What is that idiot doing here? Other Kingdoms might think I've sided with Kildian's if this meeting is revealed.'

"Tell him that I'll be in my office in few minutes. Also don't let the word of him meeting me get out of this Palace , if you found someone suspicious then kill him."

"Yes , your highness."
