+57 Grind : Forest of Kin ¹⁵

"Ho , that sword looks used. Good work , relax and rest for now."

'This voice.'

"Lord Garius? What are you doing here?"

"Well , let's just say I'm here to help you. You're still not ready to take on an awakened Mid , if you don't want to die just sit back."

He threw 2 bottles which contained orange coloured liquid towards me and said ,

"Drink those and recover , I'll take care of this monster."

I took my mask , drank one of the potions and saw a message telling me how much of health I've recovered. Surprisingly my health which depleted below 50% was now fully recovered by just one of the potion he gave me.

'What are these potions?'

I tried to see it's information but couldn't , this time it wasn't because of my level. Whenever I couldn't see information of any item or character a message would pop up saying that my level is not enough. But when I tried to find it's information nothing happened.

'Is this a bug? I'll have to report it I guess.'

I decided to report the bug and then turned my attention towards Garius's fight to learn from it. But when I looked in the direction of fight only Garius stood there with his feet on the awakened's face.

'F*ck , how long was I drinking the potion? Or was the fight that short? I couldn't land most of my attacks on it while Garius took it down in just few seconds , I knew he was powerful but what is his level?.'

To give the awakened the final blow he raised his hand and stood waiting for something. After few seconds swords , daggers , spears and arrows came raining down from the sky. It was sight to see , Garius started flying and looked down at the awakened who was still lying on the ground.

'His Mana Infuse is f*cking scary , I could only control 3 weapons and those 3 took a lot MP. Just how powerful is he!?'

He looked no less than a God of War who was punishing one of the monster , the weapons moved around his body. The number of weapons were atleast above 100 , I was completely surprised by his power. He looked at me and said ,

"Which one should I use?"

I didn't reply and stood there watching him from the ground , this was the difference between us. He was above me in everything , he used his talent and achieved what he is right now. And all I did was to just waste my time and my talent , even though I wasn't born in this world I could've achieved more if I tried in the real world.

'This large difference which is the result of his efforts can't just be lessened with few months of training , but with my 'System' advantage I'm sure I can do it.'

Seeing how I didn't reply this time Garius shouted out ,

"Hey , I'm asking you."

"Me? W-Well then use that bronze spear and then that green dagger."

"Ho , I see so you're testing me."

Of course I was testing him , with my 'Mana Infuse' sometimes I messed up daggers with sword which made it hard for me to defend. If he had full control on this skill then I wouldn't dare to doubt him again.

"Okay , so tell me the sequence of these all 337 weapons. And I'll use them as fast as possible to kill it , I promise on the name of Serven Family."

"Teacher , I even I know that the weapons present here are under 200."

I hesitated while I said this because I didn't knew how Garius would react , but luckily he was as calm as always.

"Oh so you haven't noticed yet?"

'No , he isn't. He my teacher , right now he is helping me.'

'Scared?'

"Excess , I don't have the whole day to help you."

"O-Oh sorry. Then first go with the bronze spear then green dagger , silver dagger , blue spear..."

Like that I told him the sequence of the 100 weapons I could see. And after that the real massacre started.

"I'm going to clean the forest while I'm at it ok? Tell me the number of monster you've left to kill."

"Ah yes , I've to kill 9 more."

Just as those words left my mouth , all the weapons around him disappeared. The awakened was dead with total of 3 daggers , 4 spears and 1 sword piercing it's body. I heard multiple loud cries coming from all around the forest , and when I saw the sky it was painted green with blood of Garfon's.

That's when I realized that Garius didn't look like the God of War , he was the war himself. Killing all the monsters around the forest which took me 23 days were just killed in matter of seconds.

Just after the weapons disappeared I felt suffocated , I couldn't breath properly and fell down on the ground. I tried everything to escape from 'Dark Fuse' to trying to run away , but none of that worked.

When I tried to stand up some kind of pressure pressed me down and when I tried to use mana I somehow was not able to use it.

"Oops , looks like it slipped out a bit. It looks like I can't even use conceal properly , sorry Excess are you alright?"

I couldn't even talk as I was bisy catching breath , whether it be intentionally or mistakenly today I got to learn that always be on Garius's side.

'If a man like him is the 2nd strongest person in this world , I wonder what kind of monster he is.'

"I'm... I'm okay. Just... hah... a minute."

Even though I was surprised by the speed Garius killed the monster , I couldn't ignore the fact that he broke the promise he made. There was no way he killed the monsters in the sequence I told him.

"By the way teacher , why did you break your promise?"

"Broke? Which promise did I break? As the ruler of Serven Territory I don't do such things."

"But you didn't follow the seq-"

"Are you sure that I didn't follow the sequence?"

I couldn't answer him as I couldn't even see the weapons moving , this was yet again the strength difference between us.

"Why don't you ask your benefactor?"

"Benefactor?"

"Yeah , if you think I haven't sensed the demonic soul around you that you're wrong."

'Damn , he knows about you Devian.'

"What!? That's impossible"

'...'

'Isn't obvious the one with the head-'

That's when it clicked me , and I understood why Devian was so impressed. Garius released the weapons in the sequence I told him while also killing the monsters at the same time.

'He killed the monsters which were far with the weapons at the start of the sequence , and killed the near one's with the weapons at the end of the sequence. This way the time at which the weapons killed the monsters matched synced.'

'Okay Devian , I got it. Thanks'

"Yes teacher , I believe you have kept your promise."

"Good , now clear the remaining forest and try to get by tomorrow morning. Whatever happens be at the Serven Palace by morning and if not possible then try to come before afternoon. If even afternoon is not possible then don't even come near the Serven Palace."

"Okay teacher."

Saying that he left me , when he was leaving he gave me a hint on how to use 'Mana Infuse' in different ways. As he left he stood on the sword and used it as a flying vehicle to transport.

'If I learnt that maybe travelling through the forest will be easier.'

I stretched my hands and legs and decided start my warmup.

"I've a long day before me."

On the big bed slept Garius with Herial in his hands , she had multiple scratches on her body and also a handprint on her neck as if someone choked her to death. He long hairs were a mess , the pieces of the gown she wore could be seen on the floor of Garius's room.

If anyone saw this scene they would've thought that the couple had a fight in here , but it was different for this specific couple. With his hand wrapped around Herial , Garius felt comfortable lying in the bed.

No words were spoken in this silent room 2 people cuddled each other , that was until Herial broke the silence.

"Did you really have to do 'that' to this Excess you speak of?"
