Huge Significance

Lu Ciel was back in the Training Room 4. Last night, the master and disciple visited Bogart and had dinner and drinks as the two get to know more with each other.

After having a dinner and drinking, the two went to a three-star hotel just to soak themselves in a hotspring while looking at the stars in a relaxing manner.

It was already late in the morning that Lu Ciel woke up since it was already almost dawn that the master-disciple bonding ended.

"Hey! Did you know who are the rank one special candidates for each job?" A random man who was eating at the cafeteria together with his friends asked.

"Oh, I've heard that the rank one for the special chef candidate was from a human race! Can you believe that?" A half-winged race that was the only woman in the group commented.

"Haha a talented human! That's rare." Another one from the group chimed in.

Currently, Lu Ciel was having a lunch in the cafeteria. As he was eating his roasted chicken, he heard people talking about the awarding ceremonies.

"Actually, there are a lot of human race that's showing their talent."

"Is that so?" The half-winged woman asked.

"Yes. It's said that the number one for special painter candidate is a human as well."

"That's true! I attended the award ceremony for alchemy and there's a human who named himself as Alchemist Midas took the number one spot for special alchemist candidate. It's said that this human has an innate master rank affinity to all eight elements. Can you believe that?"

"That's impossible!" The woman do not want to believe such nonsense. "Having two elements in innate master rank affinity makes one be considered as talented already. Even in history, there is only one or two person who will be born with innate affinity to all elements in every thousand year. We are currently on the 333rd century, the two chosen person have already been born for this millenium, and you are telling me a third person has come?"

'What?!' Lu Ciel was shocked to overhear that there's such a huge significance with having innate affinity to all elements. 'Is that why the old man did not let me participate the award ceremony?'

"Well, you have to believe it. It was Lord Alchemist Xi Ao announced it himself in front of the crowd as a compensation for this Alchemist Midas not showing up in the ceremony."

"The first chosen one was from the Giant race. Second was from the Winged race. To think that there will be third and it is from the Human Race. In the span of 33 millenium years, there was only one human who got to be a chosen one and the strongest of his era. Right now, a second one has been chosen, do you think this person will become the strongest of this era as well?"

"Hmph!" The half-winged woman only snorted in contempt as she commented. "This lad is one and two centuries late, I doubt the other two chosen will let him live peacefully."

The other four in the group nodded in agreement.

Overhearing this, Lu Ciel felt like the water he was drinking was very hard to swallow. Seeing the expressions of the group as well made him feel that he was submerged in a very deep dark water where the pressure was trying to confine him until he drowned. With this feeling, he hurriedly went back to the training room.

Lu Ciel was panting as he arrived in his training room. He can see that his knees were slightly shaking and becoming soft.

"I'm afraid?" Noticing this, Lu Ciel can't help but question himself. Remembering what his master mentioned last night, Lu Ciel was able to realize that he was feeling fear indeed. However, it was a different kind of fear which made him smiled. "Master, is this the fear that you were talking about? The fear which was formed from too much thrill and excitement??"

Lu Ciel looked at his hands which were feeling jelly as well. As he looked at it, he can't help but smile and question himself once more, "Why am I enjoying this feeling then?"

"I feel nostalgia." Lu Ciel looked at the bright sky, reminding of his childhood back on Earth where he rode the Takabisha in Japan. The sky was bright as well at that time where he saw the Mount Fuji in different views and angles as he experienced his first extreme roller coaster ride. He wanted to ride it again at that day but he was not able to because of the time and the very long queue. Even now that he was reincarnated or transmigrated to another world, he was not able to ride that roller coaster once more.

Daydreaming the past, Lu Ciel can only sigh as he shifted his focus back to what needs to be done. "Here I thought that my life from now on would only be about dungeons and demons. Haha! The saying that there's more to life is indeed true. I can't wait to experience everything that this world can offer!"

"However.." After being overexcited, Lu Ciel composed himself and made his mind clear once more. "Lets train the hell out of these skills."

Full of motivation and extreme focus, Lu Ciel became a shutin for a week with a lifestyle of skill training, workout, eat, repeat. No sleep at all! He was able to discover that the fishes on the pond provides him energy and rejuvinating his MP as well.

However, on the fourth day, he noticed that all of the manipulation skills and the pill refining skill are maxed out on Level 9. Though, it will provide him with points at around +1 or +3 EXP during training, the level of the skill won't level up to 10 still. Then on the fifth day, the fishes was emptied out in the pond.

On the sixth day, the fatigue from the past five days were slowly catching up to him. With no fishes to eat to magically renew his energy and rejuvinate his MP, Lu Ciel slumbered for whole twenty four hours.

On the seventh day, this is the second time that Mi Chell have to knock loudly on the young man's training room, but this time, she was not able to wake him up. Thus, she left once more in defeat.

Going back in the reception area dejected, Mi Chell saw elder Bai's patience have ran out already. "I'm so sorry, elder Bai."

"Let me go inside." When elder Bai saw the receptionist with no results in hand, he only nodded and stood up as he ordered her to open the training room with their spare key.

"I understand." Mi Chell, the receptionist took out the spare key in his desk and led elder Bai to training room 4.

As the door of the training room was unlocked, there, elder Bai saw a figure of a young man, lying down on the mat in front of a cauldron, sleeping soundly. Elder Bai was astounded at first because he could see the different figure of the young man. It was thinner. This young man who was his actual disciple was not obese anymore. He was amazed to see that his disciple was now chubby.

With that, Elder Bai's emptied patience was slightly filled. He was thinking of torturing him because he made him spend thirty spirit stones since the thirty fishes were additional cost for staying in this training room.

Looking at his messy surrounding where fish bones were littered everywhefe, elder Bai grabbed the cauldron with his bare hands, filling it up with the cold water in the pond, splashing it to the sleeping young man. "Wake up, kid!"

A sudden surge of freezing and drowning feeling attacked his senses, Lu Ciel woke straight up gasping for air as he counghed hardly right after. While coughing up, he saw the old man grasping the mount of the cauldron in his hands. Still being muddle-headed from being asleep, Lu Ciel's temper flared up. "What's wrong with you, you fcking geezer?!"

"Oh? You have the gall to bark to your own master?" Hearing this, elder Bai's eyebrow can't help but twitch in anger as he began to emit an intimidating aura.

"Eh?" Feeling the frightening aura, Lu Ciel got finally fully awake. Realizing what he've done, Lu Ciel approached his master in a split second, laughing awkwardly as he held the hand of his master, carressing it as he apologiized. "Hehe, I'm sorry, master. You know I did not do it in purpose, right? I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

"Hmph!" Seeing how his disciple was able to move even though he was fazed with the aura that he emitted, inwardly, elder Bai was surprised. He knew that his disciple did not mean what he did earlier, thus he took his hand away from this maniac let it slide for now. "Enough with your disgusting flattery, kid. I don't have enough time to be with you, I have already extended my stay on this place for two days. I told you that you can only stay here for five days but, you just have to take a mile when I've only given you an inch."

"What?!" Hearing this, Lu Ciel was taken aback with how he was able to lost track of time. "A week has passed by already?"

As his mouth was twitching from hearing his disciple's reaction, the patience that was filled earlier on elder Bai got depleted instantly.
