First Dungeon Boss

The party took a couple of hours to find the dungeon boss room despite the unstoppable momentum of the Ed brothers. This was actually already fast when you imagine the size of the dungeon floor to a normal city in Earth then double that to compare it to the normal city in Akashabyzz.

It would actually take the Ed brothers within an hour or two to find the dungeon boss if they did not slow down for the two beginners. The reason why they did this though is to let Lu Ciel and Bogart gain EXP, knowledge and insights when fighting monsters. The Ed brothers even intentionally approach the spawn of monsters just to let the two observe more.

Despite the bad reputation that these three have, Lu Ciel appreciated their effort to comply on their part of the deal. At the same time though, he can't help but laugh helplessly as his tutorial mode would just expire without doing anything. Finding the dungeon boss room when he was still just level three though made him somewhat happy and glad

Lu Ciel was not worried about fighting the dungeon boss as he have the System's tutorial mode to control him over during the fight. What he was worrying about though was Bogart. He found out that the tutorial mode function is not being provided by his system. Lu Ciel can't help but question whether this is an exclusive feature of his very own system or this was a feature provided from being a Special Mage.

Nonetheless, Lu Ciel was now in front of a stone door that leads to the dungeon boss. As the party leader, he needs to think what level of difficulty should he choose to face.

Lu Ciel was having a dilemma from the three options. The reason for this is because, what if once he click one of the options provided will open the door right away? Then what he chose was the [COMMON] option, wouldn't that be a waste of an experience fighting a dungeon boss as they have three overpowered teammates? What if he chose the [EPIC] mode and found out that the boss would be a life threatening for them to clear?

That would be breaching the contract, hence, Lu Ciel looked at Ed Ward. "Do you think you can protect the two of us if we face an [Epic] Dungeon Boss?"

Hearing the young man's question, the Ed brothers can't help but look at Lu Ciel in ridicule as Ed Win reply in his brother's stead. "Boy, Epic dungeon bosses within this level are just like ants to us that can easily be squashed. What you should be asking is whether the two of you can handle it or not as we are letting the two of you only fight it. We will only be at the side providing tips and tricks."

"Ahh, I see.." Confidence now grew inside Lu Ciel after knowing the Ed brothers' arrogance. His only concern now is Bogart.

Noticing that Lu Ciel was looking at him, Bogart was able to understand right away. Showing confidence, he looked at Lu Ciel as he pounded his Guardian Armor's chest. "Wherever you go, young master, I'll follow."

Seeing how this doesn't worry Bogart. Lu Ciel can't help but feel whether he was just over acting. Hence, he let loose of himself as he chose [EPIC].

Lu Ciel sighed in relief after seeing that the notification once more and did not lead them to fight the dungeon boss right. After learning some of the information that they will face in the other side of the door, Lu Ciel confirmed to face the [Epic] dungeon boss.

As Lu Ciel chose yes, the stone door shimmered in silver as it opened for them to enter. After the door opened wide, the party slowly entered, and as the party was inside the dungeon boss, door slammed shut and bulb mushrooms slowly glowed bright one by one on the surrounding walls.

As the room being given with light, a field of moss grew like a carpet led to a throne made of sticks and bones in the distance can be seen. In the throne, a humongous red ant with a silver carapace and a very long slick antlers which gave the ant a majestic feeling was comfortably laying on it. Below the throne, a humanoid ant with silver wings that looked like a flowing cape was one foot kneeling and bowing towards the gigantic ant while four hammer-head ants which stood like centaurs as it held axes and eight spear-wielding ants were on each side of the moss carpet.

This shows the line up of the Ant Queen Lvl 19 (Support). The Ant Prince Lvl 17 (Assassin). The 4 Ant Knights Lvl 15 (Tanks). The 8 Ant Soldiers Lvl 13(Fighter).

As the bulb mushroom completely lit the room, the oversized ants turned directly towards Lu Ciel's party. After facing the party, the spear-wielding ants which was identified by Lu Ciel right away as an Ant Soldier lined it selves in horizontal defense position. These were the ants that they have faced along the way here in the dungeon boss.

After the Soldier Ants moved, the kneeling humanoid ant steadily stood up and the four hammer-head ants vertically positioned covering up the left and right side.

"Oh my.." Ed Ward exclaimed as he helplessly sighed right after shaking his head. "I guess we can't stay at the side and enjoy the show brothers."

"Haha!" Ed Win just laughed in response. "We can still have fun."

With that, the Ed brothers looked at each other and nodded as each of them took their weapons out.

"Hey, boy." Ed Ward faced Lu Ciel.

"Hmm..? Lu Ciel smiled as he responded. "What's the plan, commander?"

"The plan is to maximize your training for basics." Ed Ward answered as he provided the detailed plan. "That Ant Queen has three skills which are Screech, Whip and Spawn. The Screech skills activates every fifteen minutes with a fifteen meter radius AOE. This skill will make you fall in a state of confusion while the Whip skill can let it use its very long antlers as a whip to attack with a one-hit kill at your level on every five minutes."

"The Spawn skill on the other hand lets that Ant Queen spawn another ant after being killed. Depending on what ant got killed, if it's an Ant Soldier that got killed, another Ant Soldier will be spawned after ten minutes and has a thirty minute cool down. If it's an Ant Knight that got killed, it will spawn another one after twenty minutes and has sixty minutes cool down. If it's an Ant Prince, it will be twenty minutes and can only spawn once."

After providing the information about the dungeon boss, Ed Ward looked at the young man in amusement. "You're a smart boy, right? We'll hold the four ant knights and the ant prince. The ant queen will only attack using its Whip skill to us since it will detect us as the most threatening beings to them. So, you two can handle the Ant Soldiers without worry."

"Okay..?" Hearing Ed Ward's plan, Lu Ciel can't help but be skeptical about it.

Seeing that the young man was doubting his plan, Ed Ward can't help but provide more details about the plan. "Boy, you have taken notes with how we fought and slaughtered our way here, right? By handling the Ant Soldiers, I want you to enact with what you two have learned from us. Understood?"

"Alright.." Lu Ciel nodded in understanding as he readied himself from the worst case scenarios. As he looked at his butler, he can't help but feel confident as to how that baby face being serious than ever.

Noticing the gaze of his young master, Bogart nodded to let him now that he's well prepared. "This is our first Dungeon fight and our first Dungeon Boss fight. Let's give our very best, young master."

Lu Ciel can't help but chuckle at how tense his butler was. With that, he patted Bogart's shoulder to ease him down. "We shall fight to our heart's content."
