Chapter 11

"Take care of yourself while I'm not around and promise me not to cry anymore. You deserve to be happy," Calvino whispered while Calista was sinking her head deeper into her brother's chest.

--

This afternoon, accompanied by Uncle Beni and Aunt Mira, Calista took Calvino to the airport.

It was tough for Calvino to leave his sister. Once again, he hugged the tiny body girl.

"Remember, take good care of yourself while I'm not around," Said Calvino while cupping Calista's cheeks.

"Of course. Take care of yourself too." Calista replied.

Calista couldn't hide the sadness that covered her beautiful face because she had to part with her beloved brother.

Calvino once again hugged his twin sister and kissed the top of her head affectionately. He then hurriedly left her after saying goodbye to uncle Beni and aunt Mira.

"Come on, honey, let's go home," said Mira.

Getting used to being busy with various office matters, of course, made Calista bored just sitting around doing nothing. She then tried to reach some friends who might be able to help.

"Try to call this number. His name is Yuvan. He needed a marketing manager yesterday. Hopefully, there is still a job vacancy."

"Oh yeah, who is this job vacancy for? Not for you, right? How can you apply for this job while I work at your dad's company?"

"Okay, Dis, thanks for the info," Calista didn't want to continue to be questioned. She then immediately hung up the phone.

When Calista wanted to contact Yuvan, there was a knock on her door. It turned out that Mira came and invited Calista to dinner.

The following days, Calista wasn't busy with any activities. She was bored, of course, so she contacted her other friends and succeeded because one of the companies needed employees to occupy the CFO position.

The meeting began on social media when one of Calista's friends gave her number to one of her co-workers, Leonard.

It was a short but memorable meeting for Calista that could warm her heart after two years locked her heart from any man.

Leonard held the title of a cold-blooded hunter. His game was very smooth and slick so that any beautiful girl he saw could be easily conquered.

That was Leonard, an HR officer in a 5-star hotel in Surabaya city.

Having a handsome face, a firm gaze, a cold demeanour, and an arrogant face made Leonard even more charming. His aura was so strong that anyone who saw it would surely fall to their knees.

Unlike Leonard, Calista was a mixed woman of Indonesian-Spanish, who had a beautiful face like a Greek Goddess. She was a calm-polite person but had a firm attitude. Her soft-spoken language could make men fight each other to marry her, Calista Earle Kafeel.

While Calista was pampering her eyes with one of her favourite TV programs, suddenly there was an incoming message from Leonard asking her to come to the office tomorrow morning at 08.45.

It seemed she couldn't sleep tonight because her mind wandered far away, imagining what Leonard's face really looked like.

'Was he as handsome as in the photo?' Calista thought. But, she suddenly remembered that a handsome man usually only hurts women.

'Wake up, Calista, wake up! The Goddess in her heart shouted a warning.

Not yet satisfied surfing on the dreamland, the alarm was already screaming, asking Calista to open her eyes immediately.

Calista then shortly walked to the bathroom. After getting ready, she went straight to the dining table for breakfast.

"Good morning, uncle, auntie,"

"Oh yes, here is your car key, dear." One of them replied.

"Well, isn't it already brought by Calvin's driver to Jakarta?"

"Yes, but yesterday Calvin sent your car," Beni replied.

'My car?' Calista thought as she re-examined the car key.

Calista instantly smiled. Her brother really knew best what she wanted. She then glanced at the clock on the wrist and directly said goodbye.

Not long after, the car that took her away had entered the parking area of a 5-star hotel. Her arrival was immediately greeted by the receptionist staff and then escorted to Leonard's room.

"Good morning Dera, is Mr Leo in his room?" The receptionist asked Dera as Leonard's staff.

"Yes, and you can go. I will take Ms Calista to Mr Leo's room,"

Dera's gaze turned to Calista. "Come on, Ms Calista."

After escorting Calista to Leonard's room, Dera immediately returned to her room. However, after only a few steps, she was stopped by Leonard's call, asking her to bring two glasses of orange juice.

Dera shortly contacted the indigo staff to bring two glasses of orange juice to Leonard's room. However, she was immediately questioned by the staff.

"You didn't order the wrong thing, did you, Dera?"

"What do you mean?"

"It's early morning, and why on earth does he want orange juice? Try to ask Mr Leo again."

"Just make it and immediately take it to his room. You will find out later."

"What do you mean, Dara?"

"Mr Leo needs a cold one because it's too hot to see Ms Calista's beauty."

"Miss Calista? Who?"

"Don't ask too many questions. This is work time, not gossip time," said Dera sarcastically and then hung up the phone.

Leonard kept staring at Calista with interest in his room. Not a word came out until the order arrived.

"Please drink, Ms Calista. I hope you like it."

"Thank you, Mr Leonard."

"Just call me Leo."

Calista nodded.

At first, Calista really admired Leonard's good looks and also his powerful aura. However, her flirtatious attitude made her sick.

One thing that Calista thought was that all men were the same. In contrast to Leonard, who was mesmerised by her at first sight. Her grey eyes silhouette brought Leonard to his knees.

Leonard stole glances through his corner eyes over and over again. Calista's half-blood face, who looked like a Greek Goddess, of course, made anyone who looked at her could swallow saliva. Likewise, with how Leonard was feeling right now.

"Let me show you around the office." Leonard invited Calista.
