True monsters/ part 2

Everyone looked between each other with a smile not knowing of the system message Jackson got.

[Rewards are doubled if bosses are killed without using magic]
Jackson smiled wickedly as he walked forward with the dragon slayer on his shoulder. Jasmine and a couple others cheered for Jackson as he approached the monsters.
As if they were statues coming to life they turned their heads toward Jackson with the Rattch rising its hand out to Jackson. "Finally a new opponent, you look stronger then the last and that blade you wield… is amazing." The Rattch's voice didn't match its body it was deep but it sounded intelligent like a professor giving a lecture.
Jackson eyebrow rose as he got within 15ft of the Rattch and the hound it rode on. "Yes Im death, and I'm here to take your head with the beast you ride on." His words made the Rattch's arm fall but he quickly rose it into the sky forming a giant ice sword that resembled Jackson's dragon slayer.
The Rattch also copied Jackson by placing the sword on his shoulder. "Let's begin" with this said they charged at each other with Jackson bringing down the dragon slayer to the Rattch, letting him block the mighty sword.
This is what Jackson wanted because the second his swords touched, he let go pulling out his short sword cutting the front ankles the hound causing it to roar in pain and anger.
The Rattch used the momentum from the falling hound to lunge forward, throwing the dragon slayer to the side as he slashed trying to cut Jackson in half.
Jackson let the ice made dragon slayer pass by him by a inch, as brought his left leg up about to kick the head off the Rattch.
Suddenly the Rattch's mouth opened wide, wide enough to swallow a human head whole with liquid nitrogen seeping from its sharp teeth.
Jackson stopped his kick a good distance away as he slowly lowered it watching the Rattch intently.
Unfortunately by this time the hound was fully regenerated waiting to strike.
Jackson and the Rattch stood only a foot away from each other with the ice made dragon slayer stuck in the stones a little. "So your a cautious one" the Rattch hissed as it swung its claws toward Jackson throat.
Jackson summer salted under the slash toward the dragon slayer that he quickly grasped putting the short sword back into his inventory.
Jackson stood their 10ft away, ready for a follow up attack but nothing came. The Rattch slowly pulled its sword out the ground as he patted the hounds head. "We're going to try something different, you have to understand this one's different… we'll die."
Jackson stood their confused before the hound started winning as a light enveloped the two monsters.
[Warring monsters are fusing, Reward will be doubled. Previous rewards still apply]
Jackson heart started beating faster hearing the system message. Suddenly the light disappeared revealing a truly horrifying monsters.
The Rattch now stood at 15ft tall with the lower part of the body of the hound multiplied by 20 making it look like bulls legs. With the upper body of the Rattch but more muscular and refined.
(Now two foot taller then Jackson)
[Minotaur Rattch tear? level 100]
Jackson walked forward with the dragon slayer resting on his shoulder. "Did you trade your intelligence for this boost in power?" He asked as he continued forward with a wicked grin.
The Minotaur Rattch looked at Jackson with hunger and bloodlust answering Jackson's question, as it charged in head first at full speed on all fours.
The Rattch didn't grow horns or anything but it's mouth was even bigger now, ready to swallow Jackson whole. Jackson raised the dragon slayer bringing it down with all his strength, the air hissed as the sword dropped.
Suddenly as the sword was about to connect the Rattch barrel rolled to the side, avoiding the sword my mere inches.
Suddenly the Rattch grabbed his head while panting, casually it stood back up brushing itself off looking at Jackson like a insect. "Tell me the way out before you die"
Jackson smiled with his tale swinging side to side gaining speed causing a loud whipping sound to echo through the cave. "Tell me how you fused with your hound" Jackson ordered in turn making the Rattch grab its head once more.
"I was born like this, was I not" the Rattch retorted looking at it hands that ended in sharp claws.
"No, you fused with a hound to gain your body you have now."
The Rattch shook its head with a deep growl "it doesn't matter anymore, I need a feast." Jackson rose his hand causing the Rattch to hesitate "I answered a question why don't you answer one of mine, do you truly see me as a insect? And how do you know what one is"
The Rattch looked at him confused "yes this is why I called you such, and I don't know it's just information I have, I spoke without thinking." He answered walking toward Jackson as it started incasing its self with thick ice.
Jackson chuckled as he approached the Rattch, when they got into striking range they both stood there waiting for the others move. "Why don't you strike me?" The Rattch asked curiously leaning down a little.
Jackson tale suddenly whipped out aiming for the Rattch's eye, the Rattch didn't react in the slightest. A tale that was as thick as a oak tree struck out blocking Jackson's tale.
Jackson kept striking without letting up for a second with the Rattch blocking every attack, as they both stood still waiting for the other to swing their fist.
They kept fight with their tales before suddenly Jackson baited the Rattch's tale letting him wrap his tale around the Rattch's, stabbing his tale into the other.
The Rattch turned to the tales, in this instance Jackson thrusted the dragon slayer toward the chest of the Rattch. The Rattch snarled as it covered its hand in even more ice, grabbing the dragon slayer stopping it before it pierced his chest.
Jackson was caught off guard seeing this monster stop his dragon slayer with such ease but he quickly recovered, jumping back with the dragon slayer resting it back on his shoulder as he got into a runners position.
The Rattch made weird clicking sounds seeing Jackson's stance. "Yes, yes charge into your death" the Rattch taunted as its fingers of ice grew another couple inches.
Jackson smile grew as he charged forward as low as he could, as he got within striking range he suddenly threw the dragon slayer, pulling out the short sword.
The Rattch was forced to block with both hands letting Jackson slide under it, Jackson swung the short sword with all his might anywhere he could connect. but unfortunately the ice was too thick and he could only scratch it.
The Rattch threw the dragon slayer to the side like a piece of trash, turning around attempting to back hand Jackson away.
Jackson smile vanished as he jumped backwards avoiding the hand. The Rattch's ice armor wasn't like regular armor, it had no gaps for the joint's to move. Their was so much ice it allowed for a small gap below the ice for easy movement of its arms and legs.
"I guess I'll do this the boring way" Jackson muttered as he walked back toward the Rattch. The monster charged attempting to bite Jacksons head off, Jackson rolled under the attack running toward the dragon slayer with the Rattch quickly following behind.
Jackson threw the short sword toward the Rattch, the Rattch blocked with its arm as it continued its charge. After a moment it didn't feel any damage it removed it's arm to see Jackson waiting with the dragon slayer resting on his shoulder.
Jackson didn't really throw the short sword he faked it putting the sword in his inventory last second. The Rattch continued to charge ready to finish the fight so it could eat.
Jackson had other plans, he got into a sword stance holding the sword in front of him ready to swing at any moment. The Rattch opened its mouth wide chomping toward Jackson, he rose the sword in a slit second bringing it down with the other half a second.
The attack chipped some of the ice off the amor while throwing the Rattch to the side. Jackson got back into his previous stance waiting for the Rattch to charge.
The Rattch shook its head from the impact but quickly approached Jackson slashing its claws rapidly. Jackson rose the dragon slayer again bringing it down staggering the Rattch once more.
The Rattch looked at its claws seeing they were chipped slightly. He immediately regenerated all the damage to his armor before it growled "this is meaningless just let me eat you already."
Jackson didn't say a word or move a muscle as he stood in a sword stance with his sword pointed toward the Rattch.
Everyone was watching the fight in disbelief at what it came to, nobody expected the monster to get stronger making them thankful they weren't in Jackson's position because they knew they would already be dead.
The Rattch grew hungrier by the second so it inched closer looking for any opening. The Rattch made some clicking noises as it stood out if striking range trying to think of a plan.
Jackson stepped forward striking down at the Rattch, the Rattch did something that made everyone watching heart stop for a second. The Rattch caught Jackson's strike with both hands stopping it in its tracks.
In that slit second the Rattch grabbed the dragon slayer, Jackson switched to the short sword using all his power with the help of telekinesis to stab the sword through the knee of the Rattch. It roar in pain dropping the dragon slayer as it fell to its knee.
The Rattch attempted to pull the short sword out but Jackson already retrieved the dragon slayer, striking down on the back of the Rattch's neck causing it fall forward from the force of the attack.
He didn't stop their, he repetitively stuck down with all his power not letting the Rattch move a muscle as he slowly chipped away the ice.
The sound of the dragon slayer hitting the thick ice was like a sledgehammer hitting metal. This sound consistently rang out through the cave until everyone got a system notification.
[Congratulations The God of Death has defeated a level 100 Minotaur Rattch experience will be distributed evenly, please be patient.]
Jackson on the other hand got a entirely different message, or messages I should say.
[Congratulations Challenge complete]

[Fear eater level up up 4t times]
[Fear eater level 5: radius 100ft, instead of just feeding yourself the fear from your enemies will also refill Heath,Stamina and Mana. [Deaths follows are immune to this skill]
Jackson smiled at the system messages, everyone could see he was happy do to his tale swinging wildly. Jackson quickly ran over to the Minotaur Rattch taking its head and putting it in his inventory before its body disappeared… Suddenly.
[Dungeon has been cleared. LEAVE IMMEDIATELY. you have 24 hours to leave the dungeon or you will be trapped inside]
Everyone froze hearing the system message, Jackson on the other hand approached the group. "Let's get out of here, I'm ready to get back outside." Jackson commented getting everyone to snap out their daze with a smile.
They let Jackson pass as Jasmine, Shadow and Fred walked next to him. "We're running right?" Fred asked almost worried.
"Theirs only 10 the floors we have at least two hours per floor so it shouldn't be a problem. Unless everyone wants to get out of here as soon as possible." He answered turning to everyone with a smile.
Everyone looked between each other with smiles "why don't we race to the exit?" Fred asked getting mixed emotions from everyone. "It depends dose the person in last have to buy the meal again?" Bobby asked remembering last time.
"Sounds good to me" Fred said with a shrug, as the words left his mouth Bobby ran forward without a word with all the speed he could muster.
Everyone was stunned for a second before they started laughing, running after him. Bobby's speed was surprising to everyone because no matter how fast they ran Bobby was still just a dot in the distance.
Of course Jackson and Jasmine didn't care just keeping pace with everyone as they tried to catch Bobby. "So are you satisfied with your level, we'll for now at least?" Jasmine asked getting Jackson to smirk.
"If my power can still grow I'll never be satisfied, knowing something could kill be a snap of their fingers. And just because they have a higher level is annoying at the least." He explained with a stone cold expression with the smirk on his face no longer to be seen.
Jasmine was silent for a moment before she asked "do you think the system is that powerful?" She asked with the same expression getting Jackson to smile this time. "I can feel the power the system has already gave me, for once in my life I feel like a frog in a well not knowing of the outside world."
Jasmine giggled at the comment before she sighed. "Yeah, I'm not a fan of being in the ants position ether" she stated with a smile, Jackson wrapped his tale around her lifting her off the ground with the help of telekinesis.
"That's what I like to hear" with this said Jackson put a telekinesis barrier in front of him before he ran at full speed passing everyone in half a second.
Not long after he passed Bobby, who smiled with a thumbs up seeing them pass. Jasmine was enjoying her time flouting watching everyone as they passed.
Jackson never felt so much power in his legs before, he felt like he could charge through walls without losing any momentum.
Jackson went up 9 floors in a 2 hours, Jasmine enjoyed the entire ride with the only thought on her mind was "I want to run this fast"
They didn't leave the dungeon however, Jackson walked over to a wall sitting down leaning against it.
Jasmine stood in front of him confused "are we not going to leave?" She asked seeing for once it wasn't snowing outside.
"Let's wait for everyone, I planned on being last but you got me all excited." Jackson answered with a smile, getting her to giggle.
They chat chatted as they waited another hour or two before Bobby approached them with the group not to far behind. But Bobby didn't stop until he left the see through dungeon door, "it looks like dinner won't be on me this time." He bellowed with laughter.
Jackson and Jasmine laughed at him causing him to turn around. "What? why are you two still inside?" He asked just noticing them. "It's safe in here, who knows what's walking around in the woods." Jasmine smiled as she answered him making Bobby check his surroundings in a hurry.
Jackson laughed at Bobby's reaction as everyone caught up walking through the see through door.
"So are we going?" Jasmine asked looking up at him curiously.
Jackson was silent for a moment before he answered, "I have a strange feeling, wait outside with the others." Jasmine looked at him confused but she listened walking out the dungeon door.
Jackson couldn't explain this feeling he had in his gut, it was like his body was aching for something.
Suddenly as Jasmine left the dungeon he got a system message.
[Quest received]
[The Ice Ark dungeon has seen your power, it gives you a rare opportunity to calm the dungeon heart.]
[Dungeon heart: Allows 3 people to awaken their ability and grants them 20 free stat points.]
[Would you like to accept this quest? Yes or No]
Jackson's body practically vibrated with eagerness for this quest so he accepted the quest getting another message.
[Dungeon Heart is on floor 11, you have 12 hours to fight through the horde to claim the dungeon heart]
"I just got a quest I have to go back down. If you can't join me just wait at the guild, the longest it will take is 12 hours." Jackson explained quickly getting everyone to react quickly.
They all pushed on the invisible door but no matter how hard they tried, it wouldn't let them through. Suddenly Jasmine fell through the door after using all her power to push through, falling into Jackson arms.
"David watch after Clementine" he ordered as he picked up Jasmine running down the cave. "Flout me above you I'll be your sniper." Jasmine assured getting Jackson to toss her in the air catching her with telekinesis.
Suddenly they ran into a horde of slimes but these ones were stronger then before and much much bigger.
[Slime tear 2 level 30]
[these slimes will catch you with their giant body and ice ability. If your caught it's instant death to anyone who can't survive the cold]
"The system said fight through, not kill everything so just kill the ones directly in front." Jackson advised as he started hand sighed "enhance" and said "frenzy" he timed his magic with Jasmines fire ball making the fire ball into a inferno that burned all the slimes in the way.
Jackson pulled out the dragon slayer cutting through the flames, continuing to run forward using all his power with telekinesis to protect Jasmine from the flames and slimes.
Jackson didn't even bother to slay any smiles letting Jasmine clear the way. They quickly made their way up the stairs to the second floor to see another familiar monster but they were also in a horde waiting for them.
[Ice wisp tear 2 level 30]
[these Ice wisp will get as high as possible to shoot it's giant ice cycles with the ability to repel any objects coming it's way with a powerful gust of snow] (now the size of a beach ball)
Jackson didn't slow down, he ran even faster with Jasmine shooting off multiple fire balls the size of the wisps.
Jackson used these massive fire balls as cover from the wisps to push pass them, their high ground advantage let Jackson run straight through this floor without any injuries.
"So what is this quest you got about?" Jasmine asked as she flouted behind him as he ran down the stairs.
"It talked about a dungeon heart, apparently a dungeon heart can awakened abilities." He explained short and sweet getting Jasmine to smile as they went down to the next floor running into their next horde of monsters.
[Rattch tear 2 monster level 30]
This monster didn't need anymore introductions, Jackson never stopped running as he threw his dragon slayer. The blade spun so fast it looked like a flying disc cutting all the Rattch in the way in half.
Some Rattch were smart enough to move out the way, but all that did was make them fall into a fire balls that Jasmine cheerfully shot out rapidly.
Jackson was easily able to recover the dragon slayer in the middle of his dash but he didn't stop as he continued forward. Jasmines laughter was the only thing heard through out the cave as they continued to the next floor.
The next 5 floors were Rattch but this was a easy opponent to ovoid and kill so it only took them a hour to get to floor 7 where they encounter the horde of frostbite hounds.
[Frost bite hounds tear 3 level 40]
These are the hounds with two powerful tales, but Jackson and Jasmine continued on their course.
Jasmine would shoot a massive fire ball for Jackson to power it up with wind magic killing everything in their path.
Jasmine was the only one killing most of the time, Jackson would kill a few here and their but nowhere near Jasmine.
Another hour passed in a flash as they made it to the 9th floor safe zone letting them rest for a moment. "I'm beat" Jasmine sighed as she leaned against Jackson who didn't even look tired.
"Yeah me to, let's rest for a hour or two." He commented as he sat down against the cave wall with Jasmine joining him.
Jackson took this moment to look at Jasmines level.
[Deaths lover level 152]
[Titles: the fire princess]
(This is without the Minotaur Rattch experience the system hasn't disputed experience yet)
"I bet those stat points got you feeling anxious" he commented with a smile getting her to smile sheepishly. "I could use your help, I rather not feel the pain if I don't have to."
Jackson nodded "but of course, just give me the word" he answered with a smile getting her to smile back brightly before she went to place her points.
After 5 minutes or so Jasmine looked up at him "what dose your stats look like?" She asked getting Jackson to shrug "I just tell the system to evenly distribute the points. My mind set behind this is that I'll never be lacking in any stat." He explained getting her to nod.
Jasmine took a deep breath before she smiled turning back to Jackson "I'm ready" as the words left her mouth Jackson knocked her out with a chop to the neck.
She fell limp in his arms as he leaned back against the wall. Jackson took this time to look at his stats after so long, he let the system show everything.

Jackson barely cared for these numbers and words he was seeing, in fact if they didn't give him so much power he would just tern the system off.
Be he knew this system was the only thing going to keep him alive in this new beginning to the apocalypse.
