The traitor of the elves

At the eastern end of the forest, groups of goblins carried stone blocks that were loaded onto wagons.

Each group of ten goblins was led by a being larger than themselves. With two long fangs, a more developed body and the form close to a human, the hogoblin had a higher rank than all the goblins present.

The special feature in them was that on their arms and back they wore tribal tattoos that increased in number depending on their merits in battle.

One of the hogoblin with a bald head observed strange movements in the forest near the mine.

Curious, he approached the source of the sound to find a completely exhausted lizard lying on the ground.

Drawing a dagger from his waist, the hogoblin slowly approached the lizard to see his status.

— Don't be afraid, come closer. We need to deliver a message—

Upon seeing the withered body of the sorcerer goblin beneath the lizard , the hogoblin screamed calling the people of him.

— Escort him in the next caravan to the city, do not allow him to lose his life or else you will share the same fate—

Being sure that the goblin would be well protected, the hogoblin approached the lizard and took out a bottle of water that he gave it to drink.

— Recovery little one and tell me what happened to your master—

...

Without strength, the goblin tried not to lose consciousness to deliver his message as he watched the changes that had begun in the forest.

When the caravan arrived, hundreds of beasts began to feed while the goblins carried the minerals and stone blocks.

During the return trip, some goblins began to run in front of the caravan holding up red flags.

After a few moments, a crimson hogoblin with a third eye on his forehead landed on the front wagon of the caravan.

—Kozu waits for the message they want to deliver—

Doubtfully, one of the goblins under the bald hogoblin pointed to the run where the goblin lay.

— Our leader ordered us to safely carry a wounded goblin—

Without waiting for him to continue with his words, Kozu jumped hundreds of meters towards the indicated wagon and stared at the goblin's withered body.

— Petro, you are no longer useful to our lord with that withered body. You better not go to the city if you want to continue with your pathetic life—

The goblin Petro looked at his companion and was not angered by his words, his lord had ordered that anyone who was not useful for the advancement of the city must become food for the new generations.

— We have important information for our lord, Kozu allow us to reach him—

Unmoved, Kozu was ready to split the goblin in half if his life was prioritized over the well-being of his lord.

— Get your strength back, I'll take care of requesting a meeting with our lord when you arrive.

Petro knew well the personality of his companion, although he was cold with others, when something was about the goblin lord or the city, Kozu had as a priority to resolve the situation.

After hours of traveling through the forest a checkpoint could be seen next to a roadside camp.

— The domestication of some beasts that arrived today is being carried out, avoid by any means interfering in their way—

Having warned the caravan, two guardian goblins from the checkpoint unleashed flares and marked the way forward.

Without stopping, the caravan reached a plain where all forms of plant life had been uprooted in more than a hundred square kilometers.

At various points on the ground, cages five or more meters high contained beasts of all kinds.

Among the most dangerous beasts, a golden scorpion was being held down by five twenty-foot long chains.

— You, go to the guards of that scorpion and ask where they caught him—

In fear, one of the goblins followed Petro's orders and started running towards the cage.

— Ah!—

With a gasp, the goblin was pierced by the scorpion's sting as it came close to his cage.

— You, go to the scorpion guards and ask where they caught him—

Although Petro knew that the goblin sent would be killed by one of the beasts, curiosity to know the origin of the scorpion overcame the goblin.

Terrified, the goblin this time did not run and watching his every step he tried to avoid attracting the attention of the beasts.

After a few minutes he was able to get to the side of the guards and asked about the origin of the scorpions.

With the information obtained the goblin tried to return to the caravan when he felt a giant arm grab his body.

— Emergency! All the guards must gather to contain the escape of two gorillas from the rocks—

The eight-meter-tall creature turned the goblin sent by Petro into a bloodstain and looked around for the next prey.

Even with the joint work of the guards, several of them suffered fatal injuries to contain only one of them.

The biggest advantage of the rock gorillas was their total resistance to control and status magic, they could only be tamed by being defeated to exhaustion or recognizing someone of greater strength than him.

— Let me control that ape, they will only get in the way if they stay there—

A group of hogoblins mounted on mountain lions arrived at the scene led by a warrior covered by a cloak.

— You heard our captain's orders, clear the place—

Disregarding the guards, the warrior removed the cloak over her body revealing long golden hair that reached down to her waist. On her body a platinum-colored armor covered her vital parts while a dragon was carving each part of the metal.

— Little lord of the rocks, you must submit to the army of our goblin lord or I will be the one to take your life—

— Traitor! How dare you speak to me after you betrayed the people of the elves—

— Shut up! You have no idea what you're talking about—

—I have no idea? Are you not Sonia Lenarys, the one blessed by the forest, the one that she gave to her people just to save her mother—

Without enduring the gorilla's words, Sonia wielded a sword in each hand of her and covering them with a spell of rays she launched an attack against the ape.

In the distance, Petro watched as for every second that passed a large piece of gorilla meat fell to the ground, while in Sonia's eyes small tears were contained but did not avoid being seen by the goblin.

After a moment, the ape lay on his knees staring with red eyes at the elf in front of him, but he was aware that he could not beat him in battle.

— Don't ever mention my mother again, or it won't matter that you're useful to the lord, I'll still cut off your head with my own hands—

Although the words said by Sonia were disrespectful against the lord of all the goblins, everyone in the city knew that she was special to her lord and wanted to make Sonia surrender to him from the heart.

After finishing subduing the gorilla, Sonia turned and looked at the withered goblin lying on the cart.

— Who do we have here, if not Petro. How did you end up in that pathetic state—

Although before losing his strength Petro had more rank than Sonia, he knew that he could not anger the elf in front of him.

— Miss Sonia, I wonder how her mother is, I think that today I could go visit her and speak well of you—

At one point Sonia felt that if she did not control herself she would divide her goblin in half in front of her, but containing her anger she ordered the cart to advance to be escorted by the hogoblin.

— Watch your tongue, old man, if Kozu had not informed me that you had to deliver an important message to the lord at this time, you would already be dead—

Petro knew that Sonia's words were true, he remembered that when the people of the elves were captured by their lord, he tried to take Diana, Sonia's mother for him, but his lord warned him that those women were untouchable until the say the opposite.

Without the elf speaking to him again, Petro observed the city looming in the distance, with stone walls more than ten meters high and colossal buildings where new warriors were trained, he knew that all that was possible because of the grace of his lord.

...

At the top of the highest tower in the city, the goblin lord played with a gold coin observing the city while Kozu, resting on one knee, silently protected him.
