Training Results

"I have an idea regarding what is happening. If my liege keeps being persecuted, play the innocent victim as someone from another kingdom. They can't trial you nor can they attack you if you believe you are being attacked by someone from royalty. But if you're caught lying, you'd be sent to prison. Those are the kingdom's rules." Said David Cross.

"Continue." I said as I continued dodging his attacks as he spoke.

"You're not bad." I dodged his slash from left to right, top, bottom, sideways, all in a short amount of time as he began breathing hard.

I backed up and then moved toward him, invading his personal space and then kicking him in the stomach.

"Okay, that's enough." I sent him flying and he threw up blood.

"We'll continue training tomorrow and eventually you'll get the hang of your powers." I said to him.

He didn't look satisfied, but it's his own fault for being weak.

Cross got up and was holding his stomach while he went back into the house to tell Cera he was leaving.

"Viv, you're next."

"Yes, my lady." She replied triumphantly.

My mornings have gotten longer ever since Cross decided to join us. I train him and Viv every morning and we go to school together and they also bring me home every day. Cera has been talking to him a lot regarding the rules and laws of the Rena kingdom so he's always busy doing something.

And so, I'm excited to have made a new friend that Cera approves of. He's improving quickly and it makes Viv try harder to not be left behind so our training sessions also got longer.

All in all, I'm very happy with everything. Since Cross is hanging out with us at school now, more girls are willing to talk to me and are always asking about him. He acts just like a bodyguard and is always standing around while annoying Viv with dumb remarks.

"Viv, I'm having a lot of fun." I blocked all her punches and pushed her back by releasing a small ice explosion in front of her.

"I'm happy to hear that, my lady." She said while breathing roughly.

We continued our training session for another hour and I left Viv on the ground panting before going to go see Cera.

When I walked into the living room, she had all sorts of papers laid out and Cross was helping by explaining something to her.

"Cera, let's go eat some-" That was when I saw a letter I wasn't expecting to see on the living room table.

A marriage proposal.

"What is the meaning of this?!" I grabbed the letter and opened it right away, reading through it and saw that it was addressed to Cera from the first prince.

My emotions became unstable and I froze the letter.

Why is the prince sending marriage proposals to my Cera? What the hell is this?

"My lady, calm down, it is probably being forced by the king after seeing my liege beat his son." Cera beat the first prince? When?

"There's no reason to worry because they're not allowed to do this. My liege already reported this to the court under my recommendation and it will be seen as a trial of treason for wanting a foreigner to become royalty." Cross explained.

"The king most likely thought my liege was from the country as he didn't know why she was there to challenge him in the first place. He was unaware of this and it will become a problem for him in the near future." I mostly ignored what he was saying.

"Zara, come here." Cera patted her knees and I stiffly went to her and sat on her lap.

"Help me write the rejection letter." Right, why am I so angry? Cera's mine.

I hugged Cera tightly and buried my face on her shoulder as I sat on her lap.

"Write that I'll go to war with them if they send another letter like this." I said.

"No, baby, we can't threaten them. But you can say some hurtful things if you'd like."

"Okay..."

And so, we wrote the letter with as many hurtful remarks that I could think of and we spent the rest of the day playing around like that. Cross sometimes would chime in, but I ignored him for saying stupid things. Viv eventually made her way in and talked to Noire about dinner plans and I asked her if she had any suggestions and we wrote a really hurtful letter to the first prince.

"That was fun!" I kissed Cera's cheek and hopped off her knees.

I feel much better now.

"Dinner is ready" Noire came in at the perfect time.

I grabbed Cera's hand and pulled her along to go to the dining room.

"Feel free to stay, Cross." I said.

"I must be leaving. I still have some things to do back home, my lady." Cross rejected my offer and quickly left to go do whatever he needed to do.

Well that's alright. As long as Cera's here, it doesn't matter too much.

Noire and Viv were happily chatting while eating and I kept glancing at Cera because I was still a little annoyed about the proposal letter.

"When did you meet the first prince?" I asked her.

"It was the day we went pet shopping."

Something must've happened while I was passed out. It seems Cera went and beat up the prince in that time. But why?

I wanted to ask but I also didn't want to remember what happened, so I decided to ignore it for now. Since we already wrote the rejection letter together, I wasn't worried about the first prince. But if I see him, I'll make sure to at least punch him in the face.

The next day, I went to school like normal, but apparently new teachers had been hired and were part of the kingdom instead of old academy students.

I know Cera mentioned that she was trying to get the kingdom's power to decrease, but they're blatantly invading the academy now. I know Cera won't be found to be the culprit of the assassinations, however, doesn't this invasion from the kingdom say they're trying to look for the culprit within the academy?

After our regular classes ended, we went to the training room, where the new teachers were being introduced.

That was when it all went downhill.

"Who is the student that has been challenging the teachers?" Asked the slim male teacher.

I raised my hand and hoped he wasn't about to cause a scene.

"Come up here, I challenge you. No student should ever have more authority than a teacher, and you're no exception. I will discipline you until you learn the rules."

I got a little angry that he spoke to me in such an aggressive tone. I don't know who he thinks he is, but that's no way to talk to a student.

I instantly dashed in front of him and he made a distorted expression.

"You little..." He then attacked me out of nowhere and I moved into him to dodge it and then kneed him in the stomach and followed it up by elbowing him in the face.

He moved a few steps back and blood was coming out of his nose.

He was taller than me so his reach was longer than mine, but that didn't matter since he moved so slow. After training with Viv and Cross for 3 months, this teacher seemed to move extremely slow. I hadn't fought with anyone in the school because they were all afraid of me, so I had only been watching people fight during the training classes.

He pulled out a dagger and rushed at me. I readied my stance, my palm ready to strike him in the chest. As soon as he lunged at me, I slapped his hand away, freezing his dagger to his hand and the momentum carried him forward. As he began falling toward me, I hit him dead on with my other palm, blowing him up into small pieces. His bloodlust disappearing along with him.

That was when the other new teachers released their Alm and bloodlust toward me. Viv and Cross instantly moved in front of me and released their own powers, ready to have an all-out brawl with the new teachers.

There was originally 6 of them, but now it seemed like they would need to hire a new one. Some of the other students began gasping and running toward the other teachers. I'm sure they could feel the nasty bloodlust being emitted by the new teachers. That was our homeroom teacher stepped in.

"How dare you want to attack a student?" She said, but before anyone noticed, Cross attacked one of the teachers.

He moved so fast and slashed her head off before she could do anything.

"As one of the dukes of the kingdom, I am unbelievably disappointed your behavior. I hereby sentence you all to death for trying to kill an innocent student." The 4 remaining teachers didn't like that so they attacked him.

Viv moved in and slashed all of them with her lightning. Causing them to move back and take some damage. Then the brawl began.

Cross was fighting two while Viv took the other two and none of the other teachers stepped in since the duke had declared that he would be killing them. I stood around watching them fight and enjoying the sight.

They're much stronger than when they train with me. I knew Cera prohibited them to use their power when we were training and only use Alm reinforcement, but they have improved so much. When they first fought against each other, they weren't this strong.

As I watched them fight, my homeroom teacher walked up to me.

"Aren't you going to help?"

"Why would I?" I answered.

"They look like they're having fun."

Today was the day that the infighting between the kingdom and the academy really started.

The inevitable war between the two was just beginning.
