My First And Only

As I was watching the house burn down, I saw a figure coming out of the greenhouse.  


"Why are you here!?" He screamed with hatred in his voice. 


"Why would you do this?" I asked him. I wanted to know his reasons before I killed him.  


At that moment Viv woke up. And she coughed up blood before getting on her feet. 


"Don't worry, my lady, I'll kill him for this." She had just woken up and seemed to be even struggling to move, but she was being loyal.  


I didn't move. I just watched the house keep burning. There was no point. Everything had already been burned down. From the books we shared to the clothing and bedsheets we shared. the shower, living room, dining room, everything. It was burned down by this animal. I wanted to kill him, but I couldn't move. I was stunned by the sudden moment of emotions I was feeling. A feeling of loss.
