No Slip of Words

"She says the reason she's crying every night was because of me. It kept on repeating in my mind ever since, Feline. I wanted to ask you if... the one she..." Sean couldn't resist but to think that it was him. The one Friya lost. The one she made her life revolve around, but suddenly, someone slipped him out of her hands.

Why does he feel his heart getting heavier with Feline's mouth parting a little? She must have been hiding something that might trigger his mind to surge those memories out.

"You think that Friya's lost loved one was you?" Feline didn't even hesitate. Feline wanted to prove she wasn't lying. She needed to take the risk of asking that question to conclude these conversations. It was never right to deal with Friya, after all. If she couldn't resist shutting her mouth tight, Feline would go doom.
