Day 2 part 1

Year 2025

Day 2 - Exploration 3

Team A - Squad 04

After finally getting up and getting some water, I wiped my face and while I was going back to my group, a guy from the same recruit stared at me and said

Mystery soldier: do you know the difference between a civilian and a real soldier?

I raised an eyebrow in a double signal of 1 I don't care and 2 Who do you think you are, my idea was to ignore him, so I looked away and finished drying my body, noticing how he pretended that I didn't exist and seeing how he kept walking he took me by the arm and said

Mysterious soldier: you are a civilian who should never have stepped on or worn one of our uniforms. Avoid the shame of wearing a uniform that only presents the pride of the Navy.

As I stared at him I struggled with my arm and pulled it free from his hand and while frowning I told him

Me: first of all you don't even know me, secondly for me it is a pride to wear this uniform, even if I hate to follow orders, I can be a civilian as you say, but I will never be someone to be pitied.

Our looks seemed to spark because of how we both wanted respect one over the other, seeing him so arrogant reminded me of someone that many years ago I sent him to the very far away of my life. I decided to go on my way again but I could hear clearly how he said

Mysterious soldier: I will leave you for now because we must continue our search, but remember the name Alejandro Jimenez. I will be watching you woman.

Just hearing how he said it made my blood boil, but I still continued on my way and with the boys already up and dressed, I asked them to wait for me outside because it wouldn't be long. Even though it was my first time in uniform I was quick, I decided to leave my hair behind because on the way I could make a high ponytail and that way it wouldn't bother me, the guys gave me some sunglasses and we went to the Captain's place.

After hearing his plan each one would wear a Scout bandanna of a different color, the plan was simple to see what colors the cuernitos tolerated, that was their nickname thanks to the Captain, we arrived safely where they left the day before and between Isaiah and I took the lead, as they already knew that I had slight experience with the Scouts and more than that I was the Akela of the pack years ago.

For a curious reason they were not scared, of course who would be scared with some dwarves *laughs*; Anyway, we could calmly see their reactions with the colors, the red one pushed them away and altered them, the other colors did not make them effect or provoke them to attack. So after getting away from them and noting these observations we continued the journey where we had left off, we got to some buildings but the emergency stairs were destroyed, with a rope we managed to tie a knot and go up.

After Isaias climbed and reinforced the mooring we went up with soft but firm steps, I broke a window to enter and explore the entire building, 2 went down and inspected below, as Captain had said it was collapsed by another collapse, although the rest looked stable and firm, it was a 10-story building but the terrace was wide, as for a barbecue.

With the radio the Captain warned of a building and gave the coordinates of that place, its status was habitable and reliable, there was not much destruction and could serve, but we had to look for the others, so I turned on the cell phone and took a quick picture and then turned it off again, near there were stores and groceries, the indispensable was the food and its condition, we had to help us with some drinks, which we had to try.
