~Kitsune's Point of View~
My eyes shot open at the impact and I felt our jeep get blown back. Midoriya wrapped his arms around me to soften the impact as we tumbled.
"MIRIO!" I heard someone yell.
Our jeep suddenly stopped tumbling and I opened my eyes in time to see octopus tentacles reach in and pull everyone out.
I was pulled to Tamaki who set me down next to him. He kept an arm around me as we looked around.
There was nothing there. Bakugou and Midoriya joined Tamaki's side and took positions around his back. Mirio coughed and pointed up at the sky.
It was the dragoon hero Ryukyu. She was in her dragoon form and had launched a bolder at us.
Her face quickly melted into apology as she bent down to our size.
"Sorry about that, safety measures. Nobody hurt?" We all shook our heads and she sighed with relief. "Good. You're getting close to the refuge, Hawks will take you there."
She smiled at us before nodding to the other jeeps who started to take off one by one. A black truck pulled to a stop in front of us and Hawks' head poked out of the front seat.
"Heeey more UA students. Hop in." He said.
~Time Skip~
We shortly arrived at the refuge and was shocked at how civilized it looked. There were stone buildings and miniature houses for every family.
"Ah, so that's why Cementoss was needed here. Shelter." Midoriya concluded after inspecting the stone.
"How did you know it was his stone from just looking at it?" Mirio asked.
"I smashed into at the sports festival, I think I'd recognize it when I see it." Midoriya said.
We shuffled over to our class that had arrived before we did.
"Good, your all okay." Aizawa said, turning his attention onto us.
"Yo." I said.
He smirked slightly before it disappeared.
"Cementoss made a decently size site for us in the far back of the refuge. They're expanding the site since more people than we thought had survived the outbreak." Aizawa explained as we moved down the streetlike space between the shelters.
I looked around to see smiling children as pro heroes distracted them from reality. I saw parents, siblings, and friends talking quietly and looking around. I saw a little boy being thrown into the air by his sister who caught him and laughed.
"They're still laughing and talking, even though people have lost their lives because of this. They have no idea." I said to Todoroki. He looked down at me and nodded.
"I understand. I am also frustrated because what if my mother is dead in her hospital room while they're here and laughing?" He asked, clenching his fist at his sides.
The group had arrived and I looked up at Todoroki's sad face. I slide a hand around his waist and side hugged him. He gave me a small smile and put an arm around my shoulders.
I looked forward to see a white hair woman with a white haired boy and a white hair girl with a few streaks of red in her hair.
They looked at Todoroki with happiness and my sheer instinct told me this was his family.
"You family's alive." I said to him, smiling up at him.
He frown down at me as he cocked his head.
"You don't know that." He sighed.
"Sure I do. They're right there." I said pointing.
He turned quickly in shock and his family's eyes lit up when he turned their way. His face blanked before he let me go and ran over to his family.
"Natsu! Fuyumi! Mom!" He said throwing himself into the girl with red streak's arms.
I smiled and turned to see the entire are that was surrounding our shelter was the housing area for the parents of UA students.
I saw Aoyama hugging his mother dramatically and laughed. I saw Koda hugging a mother that looked just like him and Asui hugged a father who had frog features.
Midoriya was hugging a short woman with green hair and Katsuki was being hugged my two adults. I saw him glance as me as he flushed. I smiled and pretended to hug air, intimidating his parents and telling him to hug his parents back.
He sighed and begrudgingly put his arms around them and patted their backs. I winked and walked over to Aizawa who was holding a sleeping Eri.
"Having fun?" I asked, smiling at the sleeping girl.
"Always. Where-" He cut himself off before realizing something.
I cocked my head at him while he laid Eri down on a sleeping bag.
"I'll be right back." He said.
I sat down next to the girl as I was deep in thought. My worrying about others made me forget about my own family.
It didn't matter. When you had a father like mine, you couldn't expect much. Constantly working and never home. Mom died a few years back. My sister was in the states. I sighed as I leaned back in time to see a familiar face.
"Hey, Monoma. How ya doing?" I asked standing up to greet him.
He bit his lip and I saw tears well up in his eyes. I knew at that moment, his parents and family didn't survive.
Knowing he didn't like class 1-A, I half expected him to tell me class 1-A's parents probably all survived, but I knew that wasn't true because I saw a sobbing Toru and Jiro. My heart broke for them but Monoma had actually came to me.
"Monoma . ." I said gently, putting an arm around him.
I led him to a bench and sat him down. He let me and put his head in his hands.
"They didn't make it . . . . . but what kills me is how it happened." He cried into his hands.
I rubbed his back and leaned him against me. He let me push him and he cried into my lap.
"I'm so sorry Monoma. I'm not gonna pretend that I hate you even though I may have acted like it, but to be honest, you kinda pissed everyone off." I said. His sobs turned to chuckles and he wiped his eyes.
"I'm a jealous brat with no parents, what are you gonna do about it?" He joked restinf his head on my lap.
"I'll see if I can keep you." I wasn't joking and Monoma heard it.
He sat up and looked at me.
"What?" He asked.
"I'll see what I can do, but I make no promises. I'll happily take you in as my own even though we are the same age and there's a good chance you're older." I smiled.
He looked down sadly.
"I treat your class like trash and you still care. Aren't you supposed to hate me for offending people you care about?"
"Of course. But you Monoma, have a heart. Even if it's filled with jealousy, you still have a heart. Not many bullies do. And that's a good think. We just need to figure out how to get rid of all that jealousy." I grinned.
He looked at me before pulling me into a tight hug.
"Thank you, Kitsune." he whispered.
I hugged him back and chuckled.
"That's what I'm here for."
"MONOMA! DID YOU ASK BEFORE HUGGING HER?!" I heard Kendo shout.
"Kendo, be polite." A woman said.
Monoma and I looked up to see Kendo smiling at me and a woman behind her. The woman had orange hair like Kendo and a kind smile.
"Hey Kendo. He's fine." I said intertwining me hand with Monoma who smiled at me.
"This is my mom." Kendo said motioning to the woman.
"It's lovely to m-" I didn't get the chance to finished before I was snatched off the bench.
"KAWAII! It's been ages!"
I looked up to see a girl with dark orange eyes and long brown hair.
"Let go of me." I said politely detangling myself from my older sister.
"Aww, don't be like that! Dad is here somewhere too! And I missed you!!"
I removed myself from her and returned to Monoma's side.
"Are you not happy to see your sister?" He whispered, looping our hands again while my sister followed me over.
"Never have been. Never will be. I wish your parents could have lived instead of my family." I whispered back.
"Who's this?" My sister asked looking at Monoma. Her eyes went down to out hands and grinned. "You still getting guys, huh?" She smirked.
I frowned at her but before I could say anything, Monoma spoke up.
"Why does that matter? She was comforting me because I lost my family. Is that a problem?"
His neutral face was back, all sadness gone as he looked at my sister with hard eyes.
I had to with hold a blush as I looked at him, grateful he defended me. He looked at me with kind eyes and smiled.
"I let you sort things out. Come Kendo." He said dragging my orange haired friend away.
I smiled and walked away from my sister as I heard her pittering steps behind me.
"So, Kawaii, how many cute boy do you got in you're class? Anyone taken?"
I rolled my eyes, remembering that she was only two years older than me.
"Who's that cutie?" She asked, pointing to Tamaki. He was in a black tank top and black cargo pants as he spoke to Mirio and Neijre. He nodded to something Mirio was saying and Neijre was smiling.
"Leave Tamaki alone." I growled, thinking.
Just as an idea sparked, she walked over to him.
"What are you doing?!" I hissed, chasing after her just as she tapped his shoulder.
Tamaki jumped and turned to see my sister. He blushed and hid his face. I didn't blame him. My older sister was pretty. Her orange eyes darker than mine and her brown hair shorter than my black hair. She had dimples and I had freckles. She had the legs and chest while I had the hips and chest. She and I were the same height with my tanner skin making me look darker next to her pale skin. I inherited my mother while she inherited our father.
I had always thought of her as the prettier one since her light skin brought out her eyes and dimples. But my mother used to assure me I was just as pretty.
"U-u-uh. D-d-d-" Tamaki couldn't even form words.
Neijre laughed and waved after seeing be come from behind my sister.
"I'll go sleep with Eri." I smiled at her, but it faded as I looked at my sister. "Hey Mirio."
"Kitsune, who is this?" Mirio asked looking at my sister.
"This is my sister. Namaiki, this is Mirio Togata." I said. "And Tamaki Amajiki."
Namaiki smiled at Tamaki and flashed a flirty look I knew the two boys could catch.
"I'm Namaiki Kitsune." She held her hand out to Tamaki who shimmied away from her and to me.
I laughed and put an arm around him.
"Tamaki's stranger shy. Strong, but so timid." I chuckled, ruffling his hair.
He smiled smally, hiding out of view.
"-single?" Was all I heard out of the conversation of Namaiki and Mirio.
I quickly turned and snatched her away from a blushing Mirio who had held up his hands.
She shouted "OW!" as I tugged her away from them by her shirt.
"I'll be right back you guys." I said to the two boys.
I dragged her to the information tent and dropped her in front of a conversing Aizawa and Ectoplasm.
"Give her work and don't let her leave the tent." I said.
