Fights and Make ups

The awkward feeling after an argument occurred and the reconciliation process is dreadfully painful, most of us even prefer to ignore it and go straight to talking.

The case was different in the Wisconsin home, after that argument yesterday it doesn't look like Lisa will be speaking with Emma anytime soon, she promised not to be concerned and she is keeping to it.

She didn't even seem the least bothered when Emma told her mom during breakfast about her date with Flynn later this evening.

"Go on ahead dear but don't you think a week is too long, I might get worried if my baby is not with me" she squeezed Emma hard. "Lisa you seem unusually quiet today any problem"

"Mmm... The weather I guess it's getting to me" Lisa responded her head fixed on the food she was eating.

"The weather feels okay.... Lisa are you pregnant?" She concluded.

"Heavens no mom" she raised up her head, her mom took sight of the dark circles that had formed beneath her eyes it was really horrifying, Emma felt bad she knew she was partly at fault.

"Maybe you aren't pregnant but you don't look good" she ran to get the thermometer to check Lisa's temperature, after a while she removed it from Lisa's mouth then she checked it. "Your temperature is fine, is something bothering you dear"

"It's nothing am just a little down cause I miss dad" Lisa lied.

"Well I have good news for you two, your father is coming this weekend!" Lucille said happily.

"Finally someone I can relate with" for the first time today she got up with smiles on her face, Emma was indeed happy but not as happy as Lisa.

Ever been in a family were siblings pick between their father and mom, it's the same with the Wisconsins, Emma is more into her mom than she is with her dad and Lisa is more for her dad than she is with her mom, vice versa. Favoritism in a family is inevitable.

"When is he coming mom?" Lisa said, suddenly excited now, she's been dying to see her dad again.

"This week, am afraid Emma will miss him since she has this date thing"

"I could change plans, I also don't want to miss dad" Emma pitched in.

"We could all go out while she is away, the three of us together" Lisa ignored Emma. "We don't want you missing out on a week date with your boyfriend" she spoke directly at Emma.

"Missing out on a family time sounds okay to you right, suit yourself" Emma stormed out.

"She just had to ruin the entire mode" Lisa left to the balcony. Lucille was completely confused and a little taken aback from what just happened.

Emma laid on her bed crying, she quickly searched for her phone and dialed Flynn's number, she tried it a couple of times but it went straight to voicemail, it wasn't until Emma woke up after she cried herself to sleep did he call.

"Hello..." Emma said immediately she received the call.

"Emma am sorry I didn't pick, something took up my time, I might have to bail on our date tonight" he apologized. "Is there anything you wanted to tell me".

"Can I see you now?" Her voice sounded weak and shaky, she sniffed hard.

"Are you okay Emma?" Flynn was now worried.

"Drop the phone Flynn" his coach warned from the other side of the call.

"Emma come to the school field so we can meet, I love you" he said, before Emma could tell him she loves him too he cuts the call.

She jumped out of the bed and hurried down to school leaving a note for her mom saying were she had gone to.

The field was occupied with shirtless guys running on the track chanting songs as they covered laps. Emma took her seat at the spectator area watching them, even though Flynn took sight of Emma he couldn't leave yet, they ran a couple of laps before they stopped and took a break.

Flynn wiped his face with the face towel, Emma walked towards him to take a vivid look at his chest, she trailed her hands through his chest. "You like what you see" Flynn smirked.

"Not really" she looked up at him. "I like your face better" she kissed him.

"On the phone you sounded a bit off, but now, were you acting so you could see me?"

Emma sat back at the seat she stood from. "Lisa is angry with me, dad is coming and our date might get cancelled, a whole lot is just happening at once" she rubbed her forehead.

A worried hand laid on her shoulder, he bent down so Emma could face him. "Everything can be solved once at a time, first you apologise to Lisa, we can postpone our date for the sake of the return of your father, after that we can have a make up date with no disturbance"

"Am glad you are so understanding, I wonder how I got so lucky" she playfully played with his cheeks.

"Wait here I need to get something" he ran to his backpack got what he wanted and ran back to her. He bent and wore her the sneakers he brought.

"What's this for?" She asked.

"We are going running to shake you up" he wiggled her body.

"Am too tired to go running" she whinned.

"Come with me" he pulled her to the field despite her complains. They were now standing on the track "On your mark, get set, ready and go!" Flynn and Emma sped off.

At first it might have looked like Flynn was going to let Emma win since that's what he wanted, the gap emma gave him showed that she would've won regardless of Flynn's cheating.

Emma was breathing hard, it's been long since she run. "You cheated didn't you" she accused, digging her nails into his chest.

"No I did not, where did you learn how to run like that" Flynn exhaustingly.

"You fake, I better get going, you still have practice to get back to" she kissed his cheeks, when she was about leaving he pulled her back and kissed her lips.

"I hate short kisses" he kissed her more intently now. "Call me when you get home" she got into the cab and left.
