Chapter 11

They took him. They took my son. Damien promised he would protect us, he promised that he would do anything to protect us. To protect our child but he let them take him. I had never felt such unbridled rage and all of it was just seeping out of me and Damien was witnessing my magical rage filled outburst. He remained calm and unphased by everything that transpired in the past weeks.

"They took our son, Damien!!!"

I yelled at him my tears continuously streaming down my cheeks.

"You promised to protect us!! To protect him!!"

I yelled once again as I hit his chest and he forced me into a hug.

I felt all that anger decimate and all the pain and grief I felt became amplified. I wailed in pain. Unable to get over what had happened.

"I failed you Emilia but I promise you. If anything like this happens again I will soon lay my life to protect our family."

He assured me. I pulled away and wiped my tears away.

"Family? What Family? They took our only child Damien!"

I barked at him my anger increasing once more.

He waved his hand and spoke Latin next thing I knew I was waking up from what seemed like an extraordinarily long slumber. I felt rested and calm.

"What did you do to me?"

I asked him.

"You needed to exert all the negative emotions. So I helped the process."

He explained to me.

"I- Thank you." I said to him feeling as if a massive toll had been lifted from my back.

He nodded.

"I need some air." I told him as I went out to take in the night time scenery.

I don't know what happened when I was out there but it suddenly got colder and a small whirlwind appeared out of nowhere. A man with beautiful white wings emerged from that whirlwind.

"W-who are you? What are you doing here?" I asked the stranger.

He smiled and as he slowly walked towards me.

"I'd think my mother would recognize me." He said the smile still on his face.

"Samael?" I asked him trying to confirm.

"It is I mother. It's Samael." He said as I ran towards him and engulfed him in a bear hug.

"H-how? W-what?" I said to him not understanding how he had grown so much in a matter of weeks.

"Damien!!!" I yelled.

"Damien!!! He's back!!! Samael is back!!!" I yelled once again to Damien.

Damien came sprinting out and froze at the site of our full grown child.

"Son." Damien said.

Samael's face turned red with anger at the site of his father.

"You. You let them take me!" Samael said to his father.

"I couldn't battle them both. I wasn't strong enough. I failed you." Damien explained to him.

"You could have! I know the power you possess Damien! You have faced off with Gods in this mortal form but you were suddenly to weak to battle a few angels for your son!! You wanted them to take me!! You summoned them!!" Samael confronted Damien.

I gasped at the words that poured out of my son's mouth then I looked at Damien.

"Does he speak the truth?" I asked him.

Damien nodded.

"I did all of this for him. For us." Damien said as he tried to explain.

I felt as if the only constant in my life was betrayal. My father now my husband. All I wanted was to have a family none of this drama. Damien betrayed my trust he let me believe that our son was gone. He could've stopped it. I could've raised my son if he hadn't set his meticulous plan in motion.

"You took my son away from me!!!" I said to him in anger

"He was my only way back into Olympus!!" Damien said to us.

"Why Olympus? Why me?" Samael asked him

"Your fate was always as clear as day. Your God will cast you out. You will be vilified and your name tarnished it has already begun but I can stop it. Give you the power of an actual God."

Damien told us.

"I-I. How?" Samael asked.

"To understand I have to explain how I came to be a deity in the first place." Damien said.

Damien pov

Since Samael had begun his journey it was time he knew why I did all I had done. It is time he knew how powerful he could truly be.

"Countless millennia ago. Long before Zeus or the titans or any of the other deities. There was a world before this one. I was known by another name during those times. My name was Lovila delock. I was once a God of chaos and mass destruction. I like all other deities had parents and a sibling."

I told them.

"My parents were elder Gods. One of the most powerful. So was my brother Sinah. He was a God of Peace and Order. He and my parents were always perfect but one day they decided to create a new specie of mortals. One in our image. This creation was one of the first versions of the humans but slightly more advanced. The humans developed rapidly. They acquired the secrets to immortality, time travel and several other innovations in their first year. The rest of the Gods saw them as a threat and created another creature to exterminate them. The Arachnoraid. A being that had no freewill and only lived to serve us deities but something went wrong. We mass produced them and they defaulted and slaughtered us all. Sinah took one of my fathers weapons and with the last bit of energy he had he transferred all the power of all the Gods into that spear. He handed it to me and told me to fix everything. I instead rebirthed the entire multiverse and made myself a God of Gods. The rest is history."

I finished telling the my story.

In all honesty I expected some sort of reaction out of them but nothing they just stood there silent.

"This is the part where you say something."

I told them.

"Exactly what do you want us to say?" Samael asked me.

I shrugged.

"So this spear is the key to making us Gods." Emilia added.

"Yes and only Samael can obtain it but there's a catch. I broke up into four weapons. The bolt of Zeus, the trident of Poseidon, the blade of Hades and the spear of Hera."

I told them.

"Okay that makes things significantly harder." Samael said.

"That's why I had you well acquainted with the Godly realms. You are the only one who can acquire the spear." I told him

Samael facepalmed

"Great now I'm going to steal from Gods." Samael said to us.
