Feng Hei Lang gasped when she saw the tiny dragon. It was around the size of her. She nudged it with her snout and it let out a long purring sound.

[Do you want to form a Mind Link?

Yes/No]

Without even hesitating, Feng Hei Lang pressed "Yes." A tingly feeling entered her head then vanished.

[Mind Link Formed!]

She smiled and patted the little dragon's head with her paw. It purred and curled up against her. Suddenly, a childish and cute voice entered her head. 'Mommy!'

Feng Hei Lang jumped when she heard that. "Mommy...?"

The little dragon that curled up against her nodded. 'Mommy! Mommy!'

She tilted her head. "Are you speaking to me?" The little dragon nodded. 'Mommy! Hungry!'

Feng Hei Lang sighed and pulled out a bit of the rabbit meat she had saved up by putting it in her inventory.

While the little dragon was busy eating the meat, Feng Hei Lang finally got a chance to look at the luck wheel tickets she wasn't able to use earlier.

She nodded and a screen with a wheel popped up in front of her.

Feng Hei Lang gasped. 'Wha- An evolution stone? They're pretty rare! These are used to evolve from the current beast level I am right now! I could get to uncommon!' She grinned at the thought then stored it in her inventory.

She quickly started using her other luck wheel tickets.

Feng Hei Lang shrugged at that. 'Eh...That's okay. They're useful, but I wanted to see some new items...' She used her last ticket.

She tilted her head. 'A random artifact? Like the ones you see in video games?' A cloak materialized in front of her.

Feng Hei Lang picked it up and used [Appraisal] on it.

She gasped. 'YESSS! MORE OP ITEMS!' Feng Hei Lang quickly threw the cloak over herself and it shrunk to her size.

Feng Hei Lang turned back to the stat window and saw that underneath, there were stats for the little dragon.

Feng Hei Lang almost dropped the cloak she was holding in her hand. 'WHAT THE HELL?! WHY DOES IT HAVE BETTER STATS THAN ME! GODDESS, THAT IS SO UNFAIR!'

The little dragon finished up the rabbit's meat and turned to her. 'N-Nam...Name!'

She sighed and looked back at it. 'You want a name?' It nodded. Feng Hei Lang patted it and started thinking. 'Let's see...It is called the night dragon, but it really does shine with the silver on its wings...Oh! I know!'

Feng Hei Lang smiled at it. "How about Xing? It means star." Xing jumped up and down on her lap. 'Xing! Xing!' She giggled a bit. "Haha...You're so adorable!" She pinched the cheeks of Xing. "Oh yeah! I still don't know whether you are a boy or girl!"

Xing stretched out its little wings. 'Boy!' She let out another giggle. "Boy?" He nodded. 'Boy! Boy!'

Feng Hei Lang pulled out a beast core she was saving and placed it in front of him. "This should be able to fill you up!" Without any hesitation, he ate it. Then, all of a sudden, Xing tilted over and started sleeping.

Feng Hei Lang anxiously started shaking Xing. "Xing! Are you alright? DON'T DIE ON ME! I JUST GOT YOU!" She tried to find his pulse and found it still steadily beating. She let out a breath in relief. 'Jeez...I thought Xing was dying. He's probably refining all the energy he got from eating the beast core.'

She picked up Xing and dug another deep hole where they could lay low in. Feng Hei Lang dragged him into the hole. 'SO HEAVY! I think he's even heavier than me!' She covered the entrance of the hole with twigs and branches to prevent anyone from seeing it.

Then, Feng Hei Lang quickly checked what she had in her inventory.

She pulled out the evolution stone and held it in her paw. It was a shiny yellow color. A screen popped out in front of her.

Feng Hei Lang gasped. 'I CAN EVOLVE! YES YES YES!!' She instantly pressed "Yes." The evolution stone in her hand vanished and a blue glow surrounded her.

It formed a blue dome that covered her entirely. Feng Hei Lang closed her eyes and warmth spread throughout her body. Then, the warmth vanished.

Feng Hei Lang opened her eyes and took a deep breath. 'That didn't hurt at all! I thought it would so hurt! THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY, GODDESS!' She silently vowed to never curse out the goddess again.

She turned back to look at her back and saw that it really did grow one more tail. Feng Hei Lang quickly use up her stat points before going to sleep.
