Second Part of the Exam!
Feng Hei Lang let out a strangled noise. "EHHHH?" Kang Lei started laughing and rolling on the ground. "HAHAHAHA! You must have caught Instructor Le Yi's attention!"
Instructor Le Yi kept talking. "You do not need to beat me. You just have to prove your ability and combat prowess and potential." Then, she went back to listing names.
Feng Hei Lang sighed. 'Aiya...I definitely cannot go to my original quest of finishing my quest during the duel now...' She tried using [Appraisal] on Instructor Le Yi.

She facepalmed herself. 'How am I supposed to beat her?! I CAN'T EVEN SEE HER STATS! AND SHE HAS A [S] GRADE ABILITY!'
Feng Hei Lang pouted and stomped the ground with her paw. Kang Lei nudged her. "Nervous?" She rolled her eyes. "What do you think? I'm going to be going against an actual instructor! THIS IS SO NOT FAIR!"
He chuckled. "Well, I'm curious to see the results too. Can't blame Instructor Le Yi for wanting to battle you."
Feng Hei Lang turned to Xing. "Xing, stay put here. When I have my match, do not move from this spot. Got it?" He nodded, his golden eyes wide. She glanced at him skeptically. 'I just have to hope that he doesn't go wander off somewhere.'
Instructor Le Yi finished announcing the pairs and called out, "Now, find your dueling partner and sit next to them. If you don't figure out where they are in a minute, you will be disqualified."
Kang Lei's mouth was wide open. "I only have one minute to figure out my partner is?! I'm gonna go now, Hei Lang! See you!" He ran off, trying to look for his partner.
Meanwhile, Feng Hei Lang leisurely strolled to the stage towards Instructor Le Yi. She started to sit down next to her, but Instructor Le Yi shook her head. "Hei Lang, sit behind the stage. We'll be going last, so don't get in the way."
Feng Hei Lang let out a sigh and moved to the back. 'Get in the way, my ass! I'm NEVER in the way, you should be glad to have an idol in your presence!'
She pouted a bit and let out an annoyed hmpf!
Instructor Le Yi clapped her hands. "Okay, let's start. The first duel will be between He Qi and Diao Lau. Please come up to the stage. The duel will end when one is knocked out, put into a fatal position or knocked out of the stage."
Feng Hei Lang sat up intently to see how others would fight. 'I don't know how to fight! Hopefully, I can learn something by watching them fight...'
He Qi and Diao Lau walked to the stage. He Qi was a male white fox with some occasional blue fur. Diao Lau was a red male fox with white accents.
Instructor Le Yi waved her hand. "You may start."
He Qi jumped at Diao Lau, claw out. A golden aura surround Diao Lau as he took the blow. There wasn't even a scratch on him.
Feng Hei Lang tilted her head. 'I suppose it's hardening, but why did he take the blow?'
He Qi kept up with his flurry of strikes, enhanced with his ability of speed. Diao Lau suddenly made a movement and the golden aura around him disappeared.
He Qi flew back, out of the stage, coughing blood. Instructor Le Yi clapped her hands. "He Qi is out. Diao Lau passes!"
Feng Hei Lang gasped when she realized what Diao Lau's actual ability was. 'Oh! He wasn't just taking the blows for no reason! His ability is [Reflect]! Depending on the strength and ability of the opponent, he can reflect back all the hits! That's SUCH AN USEFUL ABILITY!'
More foxes went, until it was Kang Lei's turn. He walked up to the stage, facing a yellow female fox called Lei Tong. He stretched out his legs and got into a ready stance.
Feng Hei Lang watched him, curiously. 'That stance looks like Kung Fu, but for foxes! It looks so funny...' She giggled, subconsciously.
Kang Lei leapt at Lei Tong, weaving in and out of her blows. He turned to strike her, but she flew into the air, hovering.
Feng Hei Lang opened her mouth in surprise. 'OH MY GAWD! LEVITATION? NO ONE TOLD ME THAT EXISTS!'
Lei Tong formed blades of wind and shot them at Kang Lei. However, he just countered them with blades of water. Then, with a wave of his paw, a huge geyser erupted from the ground, enveloping Lei Tong.
She fell from the sky and passed out from swallowing too much water. Instructor Le Yi clapped her hands together again. "Lei Tong is out. Kang Lei passes!"
Feng Hei Lang tilted her head at Kang Lei. 'He seems to have a water-type ability and knows some martial technique. He's strong!'
More foxes dueled, but none particularly caught her attention except for Mei Wang. It seemed that she had an ice type ability that could freeze any target that came near her.
Then, it was Feng Hei Lang's turn. Instructor Le Yi walked up to the stage. "Remember, Hei Lang, you do not need to beat me. All you have to do is prove your potential and battle prowess."
Feng Hei Lang almost rolled her eyes. 'Yeah, AS IF I CAN BEAT YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE!' She just gave a nod.
Instructor Le Yi stayed in human form, as she was slightly weaker in that form. Feng Hei Lang watched as she brought her hands up in front of her, in a defensive position.
However, Feng Hei Lang didn't make a move, so Instructor Le Yi started running towards her. Her speed was too fast for Feng Hei Lang to see.
Within a second, a fist was seen directly flying towards her face.
