He nodded and passed her a bottle of water. While she drank, she pulled up her stat window.

She took a deep breath as strength flowed through her. Kang Lei poked her from behind. "You ready yet?"
Feng Hei Lang quickly closed the bottle of water in her hand. "Give me like a few more minutes. I need to replenish my energy."
He nodded and continued resting.
She checked out the [Skill Token] she had received.

Feng Hei Lang clicked on "Yes." A list of five skills showed on her screen.
[Please pick one skill out of the list.]
She gasped. 'Oh MY GOD! I get to pick a skill I want!' She peered at the list.

[Shadow Barrier]
[Crafting]
[Phoenix's Dance]
Feng Hei Lang raised her eyebrows at the last one. '[Phoenix's Dance] sounds really fancy! However, there's no description, so I can only infer what they mean. [Glide] is probably gliding, while [Slowdown] is probably slowing something down. Eh...I don't really think I need those. [Shadow Barrier] is not needed either, since I can probably do that with my [Shadow Manipulation] skill. Now, [Crafting] seems self-explanatory, but I DON'T KNOW WHAT [Phoenix's Dance] IS!'
She rubbed the back of her head in anger. 'Argh! Should I just pick that?'
Feng Hei Lang raised a finger to click it, when Kang Lei turned around and bumped into her. "Hey, Hei Lang!"
She slipped and clicked [Slowdown] by accident instead.
Beep!

Feng Hei Lang clenched her fist in anger. "Kang Lei...YOU!" He tilted his head innocently. "What? Do you want to resume our match?"
She picked up the two daggers on the floor and twirled it around her finger. "Yeah."
'I'm going to kill you for making me pick such a USELESS skill!'
Feng Hei Lang activated [Dancing Dagger] once more while Kang Lei tried to [Sidestep] everything. She decided to try using [Slowdown].
Holding out her hand, Feng Hei Lang thought, '[Slowdown]!' Instantly, the world around her became gray. Everything froze for a second. However, a huge headache hit her and she instantly deactivated the skill.
Kang Lei saw her fall to the ground and he ran towards her.
Black begin clouding her vision until she fell into unconsciousness.

Feng Hei Lang groaned when a bright light hit her. She looked up to see Kang Lei's worried face. "Hei Lang! Hei Lang! You're awake! How do you feel? You just suddenly crashed into the ground!"
She tried sitting up, but pain lashed through her back and she flinched. He quickly laid her back on the ground. "You're injured somewhere. I don't know how, but you're injured."
Feng Hei Lang murmured, "So that's what that skill is...Stopping time for a moment..."
Kang Lei tilted his head. "What did you say? Don't talk, Hei Lang. You'll waste your energy."
She sighed and turned to the side. 'Stopping time? That's OP! But unluckily, it only lasted for a moment. It probably depended on my [Sense] stat.'
Feng Hei Lang sat up once more and opened her inventory.
[Inventory]
[9x Healing Potion, 2x Speed Talisman, 1x Common Beast Core]
She frowned. 'It's looking quite empty...' Feng Hei Lang waved for Kang Lei to turn around. "Turn around and don't look."
He tilted his head. "Why?"
Feng Hei Lang rolled her eyes. "Just do it!" He reluctantly turned around as she brought out a [Healing Potion]. She drank all of it and immediately felt refreshed.
She stood up and stretched. "You can turn around now Kang Lei."
Kang Lei turned back and grabbed her shoulders. "What are you doing, you're injured!"
Feng Hei Lang laughed. "Nah, I'm fine now. Relax. Something like that isn't enough to stop me. And how long was I out for? This is the courtyard, but no one is there!"
He shrugged. "I think it's around lunch time?"
She waved to him. "Then, c'mon! Let's go get some food!"
