I wake up in my house, and look around, everything is how I left it.
I get out of bed, and find something is quite different.
I go to the bathroom, and look into the mirror.
my body is no longer like how it was when I was going through the tunnels, I was now 6'4 and had a beard, but my hair, was still white.
my body tone is like that of a professional swimmer, and I have practically glowing amber eyes.
I hear steps coming up the stairs, I am too mesmerized by my new look to focus on the steps.
arms wrap around my neck, in a gentle way.
in the mirror I can see who is hugging me, their shoulder long hair a wonderful silver, with deep purple eyes, and she is 7'1.
"Hornet?" I ask, noticing my voice has also changed, I now have a deeper voice, not baritone deep but just deeper, like the narrator for the Stanley parable but different.
"yes? Ember." she said, in the most melodic voice I had ever heard.
"what happened, after I slayed the Radiance?" I ask.
"after the Radiance died, there was this massive pillar of light from dirtmouth, I went there as fast as I could, I then found you laying there, with this new body, my own having changed when I arrived, I carried you back to the house, and put you into bed, but when I looked outside, I found that the house had moved, or that the world around it had changed, the tunnels were gone, the house was on top of a plateau with farm lands all around it, and I looked off the plateau and saw people walking around towns." Hornet told me.
"and, what about 'that'" I emphasize that, because I am referring to the immortality.
"it is now a blessing, because it's shared with you." Hornet says, then squeezes' me a bit tighter in her hug.
"*sigh* good, good." I say, then close my eyes and rest in her embrace.
