Li Wei POV
I couldn't bear to leave him there.
I called the ambulance, then emptied the house, so no sign that somebody had lived here was there.
I took one last look at him.
Not long now before they come.
I just couldn't bear to let him be gone forever, I didn't have the courage.
He was now near death.
I smoothed his hair away from his face, which was paling by the second.
The smell of blood was strong.
My hands were covered in his blood.
I licked it off.
Sweet.
Slowly, I uncuffed his leg, breaking the chain in half.
What have I done.
My face contorted in anger.
Why won't he love me?
It's all his fault.
I stared at his flawless, peaceful face, as he lay unconscious.
I felt the corners of my lips curl up.
Death is a part of beauty.
The door crashed open.
I could hear the wailing sirens of the ambulance.
I jumped out a window, landing upright on my feet.
The breeze had picked up, my coat swaying.
I needed a drink. A very strong one.
