Hallucinations

Lang Fai POV

The monitor wouldn't stop beeping.

So noisy.

"I'm going to have to bandage your wounds, alright honey?"

The nurse sat on a rolling stool, pulling my shirt up.

I lay back in the hospital bed, looking out the bright window.

I winced every now and then as she bandages my stomach.

Hours passed, as I stared out the window, blankly staring at the bright blue sky.

The door opened again.

"I'm here to take you outside for your daily walk ok?"

The nurse pulled me up, helping me walk to the rooftop, like I had requested.

She let me go by myself, since I've recovered enough.

I stared up at the sky, in a daze, slowly closing my eyes.

I could hear his voice.

"I'm sorry."

I furrowed my eyebrows.

Everyday he would come up here when I did, saying the same exact sentence.

Or so I thought.

The nurse said I'm just experiencing a traumatic hallucination, but I know she's wrong.

"Fuck off Wei." I murmured.

My eyes were still closed.
