Chapter 12

Ese's pov We just ended our first class for today, and we are presently at the venue for the test, we are seated at the middle row of the class, our course mates are all going through their books frantically and I and Eni are, well let's say tired of reading the same stuff over and over again but I'm still doing so despite it making me lose my mind but Eni on the other hand decided to be grouchy instead. She woke up like that and it's driving me crazy, I just can't wait for the test to be over, so she can go back to normal before she insults and blames the whole school I'm actually worried she'll say it to their face very soon "Why did that course rep decide to put the test time by 11, if we had done it already I wouldn't be thinking about the test right now, that's all I can think about!! I hate that this is hanging over us like this," Eni said "It's 10 already, we have just an hour to wait, plus we can revise again" I said hoping she'd chill "Another hour of torture, I'm freaking done revising, I want to learn something new and I can't even do that because I have to be thinking of this damn test" She basically growled "You are overreacting" I said with a chuckle "Yeah yeah, whatever" She said and then placed her head on the desk Okay I seriously doubt this is even about the test, it's probably about Tobi, and I'm surprised because I thought she was handling it pretty well. All up till now that is. Then I got a text from Seyi Seyi:Good luck on your test (10:20 a.m.) Ese:Thank you(10: 21 a.m.) Enjoy your day(10: 21 a.m.) Seyi: you too beautiful(10:22 a.m.) And then I switched my phone to silent mode After a while, I got a bright idea to cheer Eni up, I tapped her and said "Okay, how about we go out today? Just us girls" I winked "Yea, that should be cool" She said with no enthusiasm at all I was expecting a yay girls day out!! "What about we___ " "Good morning class" The lecturer said interrupting me I could feel the tension from everybody around me, this is going to be our very first test in the uni and the pressure was on, trust me. Wait, how was it already eleven, I checked my watch and realized he was 30 minutes early "Don't worry, I'll wait till eleven, some of you guys aren't here yet" He said And then the chaos began, some students were placing calls to their friends who were not here yet, some were flipping through pages like their lives depended on it, others were walking around mumbling to themselves I guess trying to remember the stuff they've read. And then there were few people like Eni and me, who just sat down quietly waiting for the test to begin. After a while, two men walked in, I didn't pay them much attention until I realized it was Mr Efe, my dad's friend that helped me with my clearance and then the surprising part, Seyi was the second person. I wasn't over the shock when the lecturer said "Okay, lock the doors, nobody can come in, it's 11 on the dot and the test is about to begin, take any foreign materials to the lockers at the back, no phones, no books, no papers, I want to see your Id cards only on your desks, if you are found with any foreign material, you'll be given a form and be judged by the disciplinary committee, and all evidence will be given to them." I'm so going to kill him, there's no way he didn't know he was going to help invigilate in the Hall I was writing my test . He gave me a wink and then went back to looking serious. And I went back to thinking about all I have read instead of thinking of ways to kill him. Eni just gave me a teasing look and it was obvious she wanted to say something to make things worse but decided not to. Smart girl.... We went to the lockers to drop our stuff, took the keys and went back to our seats. The question and answer papers were distributed, and Seyi made sure he handed over mine. He was obviously enjoying whatever this was, and me being the bad ass I am, decided not to care about it. ******

The test ended like two hours ago,we went to the library to study cause apparently that's what Eni wanted to do. We were currently at the car park of the school library and then I got a text from Seyi, I told him where we were and he said he'll be right there,we didn't get to talk after the test cause apparently he needed to help Mr Efe and my lecturer whose name i had no idea about to arrange the papers. "So I was thinking we should go to the cinemas,that movie you were going gaga over is out" I said to Eni "Right hustlers came out today,let's go!!"Eni said excitedly Finally she's behaving like Eni again That's when Seyi finally showed up "Hey ladies, sorry for keeping you waiting,I had to finish up" "Hi Seyi" Eni said and then went into her car Well I guess we are back to square one, I face palmed "What's wrong with Eni?" He asked "Guy trouble" I said "Oh.., that bad? " He said sounding worried "Yea that bad,so we are going to the movies,just us girls,trying to cheer her up" I said with a smile "That's horrible" He said "Yea it is" I said letting out a sigh " But i do think watching a movie at home with a big bowl of ice cream would be better" He said "when did you become the girls expert" I said teasingly He gave me a look Right Yoruba demon entails knowing all the tricks to a girl. "Trust me,it'll do better than your plan,if it doesn't work like I know it won't,call me,I'll come over with the biggest bowl of ice cream I can find and maybe even Ray" He said confidently "My plan will work,your plan isn't necessary" I said firmly "Don't think I forgot what you did in there,I'm just mature unlike some people" I said trying to sound serious but failed badly He started laughing in between laughs he said " You just had to see your face, it was priceless" "Yea yea, I'm leaving, keep laughing like a crazy person" I said and went into my car Eni sent a text asking if I was ready and I replied yes Why she didn't just ask me like a normal person like her car was right next to mine was beyond me "Have fun E" Seyi said and then we drove off ******************* We just finished the movie and Eni was talking non stop about it And I was happy that the Eni I knew was back We were chatting about the movie as we walked to the car park and that's when we saw Tobi with a girls lips attached to his. I couldn't move, I was just there staring It was like he noticed our presence cause he turned towards us right when we saw them,it was like everything stood till with everyone just staring until his expression changed to a surprised one when he locked eyes with Eni. I looked over to Eni,she just looked at him with a flat expression and walked past him,cause our cars were right next to where he was standing with the girl. She opened her car and drove off and I did the same. While driving I tried calling her but she didn't answer,after the fifth try she finally answered "Where are you?,are you okay" I said "I'm fine" She answered "I'm at my place" She added "I'll be right there" I said before hanging up And quickly texted "the ice cream plan ASAP at Eni's place "
