Chapter 12

Eni's POV I'm currently staring at my phone, trying to decide whether or not to delete the pictures of Tobi and I . I get it,we were never anything more than friends,but I was always so sure we will end up together,even after all that happened,him abandoning me without second thought,I still had hope things will go back to normal. Which was why I never could convince myself to delete these pictures. Even now I'm still so weak,I highlighted the pictures and was about to click delete. But I couldn't do it, instead, I started looking at them. The pictures I saw took me way back. From the pictures I forced him to take in school grounds even though we were not allowed to bring our phones to school. To the ones i took when he came over,without him knowing. To the rare ones where I actually didn't have to force him. A tear slipped down my face. He was the only one besides my mom I trusted to make me happy. Maybe I'm being too greedy,we don't have to be anything more than what we were,I just want him in my life,I don't care if he is with someone else,I just want him with me. I'm pathetic,i know,but I just can't help it. I want him in my life. I have decided,i said to myself. I'll call him. Just when I was about to call him despite knowing how pathetic what I was about to do was Ese walked in, I gave her a sad look She joined me on the bed "How are you?" "I don't know" I answered honestly "I get that" She said It was obvious she didn't know what to say and that was okay,I didn't really want to talk I placed my head on her laps and stared at the ceilings and let out a sigh. "What do you want to do about him?" She said "I was thinking about calling,but then again I really don't think I'll be able to handle seeing him with someone else" I said trying not to sound as horrible as I felt. "How about you give yourself a break from all of this,Seyi and Ray are on their way with ice cream,let's just chill and hang out" Ese said I sat up and said "ice cream sounds awesome right now and having them over should be nice " I said cause I actually felt like I needed it,I just need to stop thinking about all of this crap for a while at least. "Ice cream here we come!!" Ese said screaming We laughed at her sillyness,I swear nobody likes junk food as much as Ese does. And then we heard a knock. "It's open" I said already knowing it was Seyi and Ray "Someone ordered an amazing looking guy and a semi okay looking one!!" Ray basically shouted while walking towards I and Ese with Seyi smiling beside him "I don't know what you are talking about,I only ordered ice cream" I said teasingly "And even if we did,they got the order totally wrong,cause nobody here fits that" I said with a smirk "My heart....it's breaking" Ray said dramatically "I get you don't think Ray is good looking,but me??,you can't be serious" Seyi said with a smirk "Alright maybe they got you right but Ray!, not in the slightest" I said laughing "You guys are mean" Ray said with a pout "Enough guys,give me the ice cream,you guys can continue your teasing later" Ese said giving an annoyed look. They brought out the big bowl of chocolate and strawberry ice cream and Ese basically sprinted to the kitchen to get spoons and Immediately took a spoon full "E you didn't tell me you were this crazy about ice cream" Seyi said with a smirk. "Well she's crazy about a lot of things" I said while giving Ese a teasing look "Yea.. I love ice cream" She said while giving me a signature I'll kill you look "Good to know" Seyi said with a smile Ese remembering she was supposed to give us spoons too and not just take scoops alone,finally gave us each spoons,after taking like three spoon full of ice cream "No,don't give us spoons,finish it yourself " I said teasingly Ese just brought out her tongue childishly And we all let out a laugh and fell into a comfortable silence while we took scoops of ice cream. Deciding I didn't want to talk about why we were all here in the first place, I decided making everybody else talk will be best. "So Seyi who do you love the most?" I asked with a smirk "Me of course,like...I'm awesome" Ray said with a chuckle "That'll be my mom,she's amazing and just plain beautiful inside and out,although she isn't black,she always made me remember my black heritage,my dad wasn't always around to tell me about his side so my mom did it for him,she gave me everything and she deserves everything" Seyi said with a smile while looking at Ese And Ese gave him back a look. I was trying to figure out whatever message they were passing across through the looks they were giving but I got nothing and gave them a suspicious look instead. "Awwwwn,someone's a mama's boy" I said laughing "You have no idea" Ray said amused. "Hey, there's nothing wrong with that" Ese said defensively I couldn't help but laugh "Okay Ray,favorite movie? " I said "I really don't have one,I watch a lot of movies, I can't choose" Ray said "I know right, same here" I said That's when Ese's phone started ringing and her ringtone filled our ears She looked at her phone and kept it back without answering and gave a frown We all got that she didn't want to answer Then came the awkward air Seyi broke the silence thankfully "What song was that, it sounded so familiar" He said to Ese looking like he was trying to remember Ese said "It's perfect for me, from__" "Trolls world tour" They said in unison "That's my favorite song in the animation" Seyi said "Mine too, i played it on repeat for days" Ese said with a chuckle "It was beyond annoying" I said "Seyi did the exact same thing" Ray said in frustration "Oh shush, you liked it too" Ese said to me "Yea,but you quickly made me hate it" I said "You guys don't get it,that song was awesome" Seyi said to Ray and I "Yea yea whatever" I said Ese let out a chuckle and then said "Who wants something to eat, I can fry Potatoes? " "I do" We all said in unison "I'll help you" Seyi said while he stood up "Thanks" Ese said and they left I and Ray we're now left alone in an awkward silence "Well I guess you know what's going on with me that called for this impromptu hang out" I said timidly "Actually I don't,Seyi didn't tell me,he just said we needed to cheer you up and you definitely don't have to tell me if you don't want to" He said "Oh okay,well thanks for coming even after i ignored you right after the.... kiss" I said feeling sad all of a sudden He continued "of course I came, I don't want you sad,and i shouldn't have kissed you, I'm sorry" "Well it wasn't your fault,and strangely I actually do want to tell you " I said And then I went on to tell him everything **************"*"**** "Well for one,he is a shitty person for all he did,secondly he is more than stupid for not seeing just how badly he has lost for letting you go" He said looking angry "Right...I guess so" I said "Eni you definitely deserve better than him" He said I looked into his eyes,they were staring straight into mine,he looked so sure about what he just said.I went down to his lips,I remembered how his lips felt when he kissed me at his place days ago,right now I need that feeling,i want to feel him again. I moved closer to him while starring at his lips. He looked at me with an unsure expression but still went on to cover the space between us by moving closer to me. We were so close right now, I could feel his breath on my skin,our lips we're almost touching He looked at my lips and went back to my eyes and then asked "Are you sure" I replied by pressing my lips against his,I moved my lips really slowly waiting for him to move his lips,but he didn't,I was about to stop,feeling rejected but then he moved his lips on mine,he was being really slow and gentle,moving his lips like he didn't want to hurt me. I didn't want that,I wanted it to be like the kiss Tobi shared with that girl,I want him to take over and kiss me like his life depended on it,like he needed me to breathe.

I took the initiative and hastened my pace,I bit his lips so he could loosen up and he did. He raised my chin up so he could have more access and I have him. I was feeling light and free while Ray devoured my lips. But that's when I heard it. "Eni!!" I didn't want to stop,but that voice.... I looked towards the door quickly "So this is what you do now?,sleep with guys?? " Tobi said sounding pissed "What the hell are you doing here" I said "I asked you a question" Tobi said looking at me like he was about to explode "Are you serious right now?,you were doing the exact same thing an hour ago" I said with anger radiating through me "So freaking what" He walked inside my room and was looking at Ray and i like he could kill. "You are nothing to me, so you don't freaking ask questions,I owe you no explanation" I said "Oh yeah" He said with a very slow voice "Yes,get out!!" I shouted Tobi didn't reply he was staring daggers at Ray. "She said leave" Ray said with a deadly voice Tobi started walking straight towards Ray looking pissed. That's when Seyi and Ese came into the room with worried looks but when Seyi looked at Tobi his expression changed to that of total shock Tobi gave the same shocked look, before it changed to a flat one and then said with the most deadly voice "Hey big bro"
