The invite you sent through your secretary. For the event?" "I didn't tell her to send you any invites" He replied looking pluzzed "What are you talking about?" I said "Your secretary called and gave me the invites" I added "I didn't tell her to do that" He said "Wait I don't get what you are saying. I thought you were too busy that's why you didn't tell me yourself. If you didn't tell her to invite me,then who did?" Ese's pov "What do you think will happen?" Eni whispered "Anything can happen at this point" Ray replied "Tell me about it. Today has been some day" Eni replied She looked at me with curiosity. And then it was replaced with worry. "You don't seem okay" "I'm as okay as anyone would be in this situation" "I'm just feeling bad that Seyi is going through this" "Yea.. He'll get through this though" Eni said "Yea..." We nodded in unison. And then there was total quiet. I guess we all wanted what Eni said to be true. The silence remained. Probably because we were trying to guess how the conversation was going. Ray was pacing from one end to the other. Eni was tapping her hands on her laps. And me?,well I was staring at the floor. A buzzing sound came unexpectedly from the adjacent room, giving us quite a scare. We visibly relaxed when we realized it was a phone. It sounded so loud because we were all lost in thoughts and the phone was on vibrate mode and was left on a table. I realized it was mine.

As I slowly moved towards the table,I thought of how bad things really are and how bad it's might become. The phone kept ringing. My father and brother are going to kill me. I thought. It's definitely one of them. Here comes my death. As I picked my phone up,I realized I wasn't sure who I wanted to talk to first. My dad or brother. Both seemed equally terrible at the moment,considering mudia had strictly told me not to go to the party and to stay clear of Seyi and his family. I planned on keeping a low profile but obviously anything but that happened. I peeked at the caller ID. Big bro✨ I took a deep breath. Here goes nothing. "Em big b... "Ese Idaho!!" Before I could gather my thoughts I heard my notification tone Ese I'm giving you 2 minutes to get out of there I placed the phone in my back pocket. Where did my brother go? A loud bang brought me back from my thoughts. Shoot! I ran down stairs Leaving Eni and Ray running after me. The sound came again. The sound was coming from the gate I realized. Everyone exchanged surprised looks. The gate was a little far away so the fact that we could all hear it means the force against the gate was alot. Seyi picked up his phone "Peter what's happening at the gate?" "What do they want?" "Ese?" I moved towards the door. Seyi swiftly took my hands and pulled me back. "Where are you going?" Seyi asked "It's my... Brother" I replied "Banging the gate?" "Probably not him. One of his guys" "His guys?" The sound got louder and my phone started ringing. "Seyi I'll explain everything later. When I know more" "Know more about what?" "I can't.. My phone ring tone interrupted me "I'm coming" I said to my brother I looked to Eni "Eni I'm sorry for the stress" "You know you don't have to say sorry" she responded I mouthed a thank you. I looked towards Seyi's dad " I'm sorry sir" "Ray I'm sorry for the disturbance" They both gave a nod with a smile. I looked at Seyi again before runing towards the door. As I ran towards the gate all I could think about was how to get the horrible feeling that things were going to get worse out of my chest. I looked at the two security men "Please open the gate" "But madam.. those people go fit harm you oh" one said "You supposed dey inside oh,we no want trouble" the other voiced "It's fine.I'm fine.i know them" The banging continued. "I'm coming out mudia. Tell them to stop!!" I shouted And it stopped. I pointed towards the door. The security men still looked hesitant. "Peter open the gate" I said firmly "Okay madam" I quickly stepped out but not fully because a hand pulled me back in. Seyi. He looked at the two huge men dressed in suits standing beside me. "Ese I don't understand what is going on. But I can't let you leave like this" I touched his face and said "Babe he is my brother. I'm not in any harm. I'll explain later." He still looked hesitant. "I promise" He nodded and was about to let go when "Get your damned hands off my sister!!"
