Adrain had to convince Klaus somehow to enable him stay with him until he falls in love with him. Even if he's going to result to seduction.
"My king, love is a broad word, it doesn't have to be gender precise but also, being your soulmate doesn't necessarily mean that we have to sleep together or have sex." Adrain began.
"What are you talking about. Of course being mates makes us automatic lovers. Or what are you driving at crazy." Klaus asks inquisitively.
"I'm just saying, that, it's okay to not want me as a mate or lover but it's also not wrong to have me as your soulmate. Your soul comforter. Your friend and other things I haven't thought of yet." He says the last part trying to be funny but Klaus wasn't laughing. He didn't see anything amusing about the whole situation, not one bit. Or he was just not used to laughing.
Adrain coughed softly to mask up his awkwardness and continued.
"How about we start as mere friends until you feel it's okay for it to develop into something else or something more?" He suggested nicely.
"To be my friend? Please you don't qualify to be my friend nor lover considering your desperate backgrounds, you'll just be wasting precious time." Klaus says indifferently.
"Okay. Rude. But okay. How about this, you allow me be with you for sometime to try and win you over and if it works we can become friends, then from there we can become you know what." Adrain says suggestively. Raising his perfectly sculpted brows repeatedly in a playful manner. Suggesting other things that had Klaus hot and bothered.
Klaus looked at him weirdly, not knowing how to react to that disturbing suggestion that Adrain was clearly trying to bring on board. He didn't know if he was already seduced, bothered or disturbed?
"First of all, remove whatever thought you may have about us developing into lovers. It is NEVER going to happen Adrain. EVER! Secondly. You can stay here, because we are soulmates first before anything. But you can't be anywhere close to me, not with your disturbing suggestions." He says looking everywhere but at Adrain. He must admit, he didn't know how all that suggestions is supposed to work but thinking about it alone is really bothering and very awkward.
Adrain smirked secretly to himself.
Klaus composed himself, "there are rules that needs to be followed first. If you follow all those rules accordingly and still wins me over, which I doubt is ever going to happen, then sure we can definitely be friends. And absolutely nothing more" Klaus says with a mischievous smirk. Already cooking up a devious plan.
He had a feeling that Adrain wasn't going to accept this rejection willingly without a fight, so maybe bullying him into thinking it was never going to work will have him come around and accept it freely.
"Mmm, sure, okay let's hear those rules. Please though, go easy on me, I'm an orphan" Adrain says with mock pity drawing a gasp from Elias who had being silent all this while, just waiting for it to be over so he could tease Erix later on.
Setting down his cutlery, Klaus clasp his hands together, entwining them. With a devious smirk plastered on his face he laid down the ground rules, ruled that he thought would make it difficult for Adrain to want to stay.
"Well good. You're more desperate than I thought."
"Rule number one: don't talk to me.
Rule number two: stay out of my way.
Rule number three: stay absolute clear off my path.
Rule number four: nobody has to know you're my mate.
Rule number five: you can't interfere in my personal life.
Rule number six: I can be with whoever I choose to, it's none of your business, you can't complain, not even cough about it.
Rule number seven; just because we're soulmates doesn't mean you have any kind of right to me. You are nothing to me actually, I'm just being generous because those crazy gods chose you as my mate which is absurd if you ask me."
Klaus laid down those rules as if they weighted nothing, enjoying the perplexed look on Adrain's face.
Let's see how you win me over now. You'll be begging to be rejected by the time I'm done with you. You and your crazy gods better stand well. Klaus thought mischievously with an evil smirk.
What he didn't know is that he was dealing with the king of manipulation himself.
Erix pretended to be bothered by Klaus's ridiculous rules. But within him he wasn't bothered at all. All he could do was allow his insides somersault, because he got what he wanted. To be by Klaus's side and with that possibility everything else is a piece of cake.
Klaus has no idea whom he is dealing with. He thinks he's won, not knowing that Erix never takes no for an answer. Klaus can play hard to get all he wants but Erix is prepared to get him to submit, one way or another. Whether or not Klaus approved of his methods. He will manipulate him so much that, he'd be begging to be taken by him, and only then shall the real games begin.
By the time I'm done with you, you'll be begging for mercy my dear feisty one. Erix thought with a little unnoticed smirk of his own.
With an innocent look on his face, he asked the king "but my king, how am I supposed to win you over if am not to be any where closer to you and with all these rules. Why such tall walls? I need to be close enough to be able to win you, don't you think?"
"Oh but you see, this is your own problem, not mine. I've laid down my rules. Either you take it or leave it. A determined person don't make excuses, they just do it. Since you're so desperately be with me then please by all means prove yourself worthy to prove me wrong"
