Chapter 11 : An exquisite morning

"Sorry, this offer is not anymore available", Ellie said and then slammed the door.

Nate froze one more time, he didn't know what to think and to do right now. He was expecting that Ellie would let him stay at her place for a few days but now that she refused to, he is now officially jobless and homeless.

But when he was about to leave Ellie's place, the door opened slowly, and then a sweet voice said :

"Where are you going ? Come on, make yourself at home", Ellie said with a big smile on her face.

"But you said that the offer is not anymore available and then you slammed the door", Nate said, stuttering a little.

"Yeah, but it seems like I changed my mind after all", Ellie said calmly. Actually, after she slammed the door, Ellie stayed behind and laughed, she enjoys seeing Nate like that and she likes teasing him, she then watched his reaction through the door.

Nate rushed to enter the house with his two little luggages.

"But where are the rest of your stuff ?", Ellie asked curiously when she said that Nate has only two little luggages.

"They are all there", Nate replied.

"Ohh!", She exclaimed, surprised.

"WOW!! Your place is amazing and so... big. It's at least five times bigger than my old place", Nate replied.

"Thanks, I chose the decor on my own, well Larry helped me a little but I did the most hard job", Ellie said confidently. In reality it's Larry who has chosen all the decorations when she moved here 3 years ago, Ellie has done nothing at all.

"So, here is your new room, feel free to decorate it as you fit and don't hesitate to tell me if you need something, I mean really anything. You are my guest ", Ellie said while showing Nate the guest room.

"WOW!! Just awesome! Ellie thank you so much for all of that", Nate said.

"Don't mention it Nate. Oh ! By the way have you already eaten ?", Ellie asked.

"Not yet. I wasn't even able to enter my place earlier , all my stuff was already outside and Bill, my landlord , changed the lock of the door" , Nate said with a sad voice.

"Technically, he can't do that to you, you can sue him for that. My sister is the best lawyer in Roswell, I'm sure she can help you", Ellie replied.

"No, Ellie. I'm not gonna sue him for that. It's fine and it will cost me a lot to take such a good lawyer", Nate replied.

"No Nate ! No, you shouldn't let people walk on you like that. In this world, either you walk on people or you get walked on and believe me this last is not great", Ellie said.

"But that's not what I see, Ellie. I think that every action has its consequences . As far as I'm concerned, if you've done something good, the consequences will be good too and if you've done bad things, the consequences will be even more worse than the action itself, that's what my mother taught me", Nate replied.

"Well, we've kinda had opposite mothers then", Ellie replied.

"Well, I think I'm going to bed now, a huge day is waiting for me tomorrow. So good night Nate !", Ellie said.

"Yeah, I'm going to bed now too. Good night Ellie and have a nice dream !", Nate replied.

"Oh, yeah if you are feeling peckish, feel free to eat something in the fridge, Ok?", she said.

"Yeah, ok", Nate replied. Then Ellie left.

The next morning

Nate got out of bed when he heard noises coming from the kitchen, he was not wearing a top but only enough shorts to serve as his pajamas with his hair still disheveled. As he approached the kitchen he heard voices arguing :

"Are you crazy ? You can't hire him like that, he doesn't have enough qualifications for this job", a male voice whispered.

"I can do anything I want I'm the boss and moreover he said that his mother is a florist so he must be used to the world of gardening", a female whispered

"Ok, hiring him as a gardener it's still working but from there to host him at your place I don't think it's a good idea Ellie", the male voice whispered.

"I know what I'm doing Larry and ...", the female voice whispered but she was interrupted when Ntae said : "Morning guys !"

Both Larry and Ellie were surprised when Nate entered the kitchen, what surprised them the most was the fact that he was wearing anything other than a little bit of pajamas and his upper body was completely naked.

"You know what Ellie, forget everything that I said earlier, he can totally stay here especially when he is like that. And I also know now why you insisted so much that he stay here. Oh yes ! Yes ! I totally understand ", Larry said with a smirk on his face but then laughed when he saw Ellie's face right now.

Ellie was far from imagining that Nate has such a perfect torso, she even begins to have some devilish thoughts right now, if you know what I mean. In any case, Larry him, he knows exactly what she was thinking and that's even why he laughed right now.

"Ellie!", Larry said. "Ellie!", he repeated three times but she still didn't hear him.

"Ellie ?!", Nate said, helping Larry to warn her that her cup of coffee was in fact already overflowing while she was still pouring coffee inside.

"Yeah !", Ellie replied with a soft voice.

"Humm... Your cup is overflowing", Nate said .

"What ?", Ellie said, surprised.

"Your cup", Nate replied while pointing at her cup.

She finally noticed that she had spilled a lot of coffee on the floor. " Oh ! Yeah", she said and when she tried to put her mug on the table and grab a tea towel to wipe up the spilled coffee and turn around , she almost slipped. Luckily, Nate was able to catch her in time. If not she would have really hurt herself since she was already dressed to go to work and already wore heels. Ellie was now in Nate's arms with her hands resting on his chest.

"Ellie, are you alright ?" , Nate asked, still hugging her tight.
