Mo Xin Er's fingers danced rhythmically on the keypads of her laptop. She leaned back, a slight glint in her blue orbs. She was currently back in her room after convincing her brother to go back to his dorm and avoid the gang.
Her lips mouthed the words, "Dark villains." And she laughed sardonically. She probably didn't realize how villainous she looked at the moment. However, Fan Liuying who sat on her bed, a few feeds away from her felt the chills. But unexpectedly, she wasn't scared. She seemed to be even excited as she plopped herself towards the other girl's bed.
Her eyes darted towards the interface of the laptop and she gasped, "Xin Er. Do you know the Dark Villains?"
Mo Xin Er looked at the sudden intruder and said in a grim tone, "They probably will be getting to know me well soon enough." She looked back at the screen before scrolling on it a few times and put it back on top of her bedside table.
Fan Liuying smiled, taking that as her cue to leave and made her way to her own bed. Mo Xin Er laid back on her bed, shutting her eyes and she could vaguely hear Fan Liuying telling her goodnight.

Orchid Manor
In a large room which seems to be a study, two men sat on separate sofas directly opposite each other. One of them seemed to be more elderly, considering the stream of white beard that had begun to take its place on his chin while the other man seemed to be in his twenties. However on a closer look, he seemed to be more familiar?
The young man looked at the other man as he munched on a half eaten apple. His gaze seemed to be very… fervent. He said lightly, "Boss, I met her." His voice seemed to be slightly choked and he seemed to be bursting with joy when he continued, "She is much more older now."
The other man scrunched his brows as he glanced at the seemingly happy young man across him. His gaze was a tad bit distrustful as he replied, "Ichiro, did you do something bad again?"
"No, I didn't. I swear, it was totally an accidental encounter. The boys and I have never gone looking for her after you relayed the orders. We will wait patiently till she is ready."
"Good. No one is allowed to go looking for her."
"Boss, how do you feel about this now?"
The elder man hesitated before mouthing the words, "I feel happy. That I fulfilled my promise to them." He seemed to not want to dwell on the matter anymore for he stood up, despite the happy smile at the dyes of his lips. He walked towards his desk, his hands rummaging one of his several lockers before digging out a photograph.
Ichiro beamed as he went closer to him, to take a look at the photograph. He gasped, "She looks so much like elder sister in this photograph"
The other man nodded, regaining his composure as he handed the photo to him. He then proceeded to to slam his hand on the black orb in the center if the table. He ignored the young man who seemed to be wanting to enter into the photograph itself and went back to take his seat.
Soon, a knock came resounding at the door and they both glanced towards it before the elderly ma said in a deep voice, "Come in."
The door opened with a slight creak and a man entered. He shut the door behind him as he made his way towards the people in the room. His steps were generally light but steady as he walked but he seemed to falter when he saw Ichiro in the room. His gaze fluctuated and his fingers which were holding a set of files seemed to shake when he saw the knowing smirk gracing Ichiro's lips.
The elderly man glanced at the two briefly before taking his eyes away from them as if he hadn't caught any gesture between them. He called indifferently, "Li Yue, come on in."
The man finally got out of his trance and his face turned completely blank once again as he made his way towards them. "Boss."
"How is it?" the elderly man replied.
"You've been more busy these days and didn't check the updates." He handed the files to the elderly man respectfully and stood back with his back erect, completely ignoring Ichiro.
The elderly man picked one of the files as he perused them. His gaze seemed to halt at one point as he pulled out a photograph before looking at the man who brought the files.
"The princess seemed to have met young master," the man said when he sensed his gaze.
Ichiro peeked into the photograph, his eyes widened as he recoiled his head. His eyes squinted as he gazed at the elderly man suspiciously. "Boss, don't tell me…"
The elderly man clicked his tongue in distaste as he looked at him. "I'm not like you. It was totally not my doing" After all, he was surprised that she met his son. He hadn't even known that she was admitted into Tsing university. He continued, "I haven't been checking up on her these days. We have all been busy these days with the terrorist matters."
Ichiro replied, "Does this mean that the betrothal will still take effect?"
"It seems so." He looked relaxed as he leaned back into the sofa. He had no problem if his son liked her. After all, he knew his own son well enough. The brat hadn't even shown any romantic side to himself all these years. If he hadn't once seen that thing beneath his legs during his teenage years, he would seriously wonder if he was his son.
"He seems to have taken interest in our little princess."
The elderly man nodded. "It seems to be so." His boy had never been one to be around people. Anyway, he had no problem with it. He knew the young man deserved. He wasn't being biased. After all, although, he had that gentle outlook, he knew how ruthless he could be when he was dealing with his enemies. It was exactly what she needed. A man who could protect her when she needed it. However, …
However, if she had no feelings for him, he would make sure no one could force her into it. After all, not only had he promised to protect her, he treated her like his.
However, it seems Ichiro didn't have the same thoughts for he huffed and sat. He folded his arms but he didn't seem to be angry. He looked rather like a child throwing a tantrum. He grumbled, "Your boy went to seduce my little princess" If he dares to hurt her, I will break his legs."
However, the other two people didn't seem to take his words seriously and the elder man laughed, "I remember someone found him too scary to talk too"
