Meeting.

( MC POV )

Naruto… was a handful, hyperactive waste of my time… for now at least. But my investment would eventually show its value.

While I couldn't get tired, at least I had never gotten physically and only in the beginning mentally, Naruto really threatened to push me over those limits.

As I escorted the boy home we arrived in a run-down building, barely being held together and vandalized beyond recognition. The anime never truly portrayed how far people's fears could take them, and I was certain this was only the beginning.

As we both made our way into the building Naruto scratched his face as he turned to look at me.

"Sorry for the mess, not exactly presentable for a Hokage." – Naruto said sheepishly, but I could see the disappointment he held for himself.

'He can't be making this any easier.' – I thought to myself as I smiled and put a hand under my chin.

"You're right, this is disgraceful." – I said as I saw Naruto lower his head a little.

Smiling I continued speaking.

"If others Kage learned that I let my shinobi sleep in places like these, I would become a laughing stock amongst them."

Naruto looked questioningly at me at that. I smiled at him and clapped my hands once.

"Pack your bags, you're moving out of this dump."

Naruto's eyes widened at that as he stammered.

"You don't have to do that for me, I am doing just fine here." – He said as he scratched his head.

"Just fine huh…" – I asked pointedly.

'Well… I get by."

"Uhuh… anyway, this isn't for you."

"Huh? Then why…." – He asked as he left the words in the air.

I pointed at his other hand holding the framed writing of his mother's name.

"She would kill me and Jiraya if we let you live like this. I would probably be let off with a bruise since I am a new Hokage, but Jiraya being your godfather... uf, he's dead." – I said as I continued looking around the apartment, acting like I hadn't just dropped the biggest bombshell on Naruto's head.

"G-Godfather?" - A betrayed look flashed across Naruto's eyes.

A sensei withholding information can be somewhat explained… maybe even forgiven, especially with Naruto… but a godfather, the man who was supposed to protect and support him, leaving him to fend off on his own since a child probably hit Naruto deep down…

'Just Perfect. It's way easier than with Sasuke when he was a child… and that was as easy as they get.'

"Anyway, since you returned I have started the process to return you your inheritance."

"My parents left me an inheritance?"

"Indeed, being both very good at their job, you'll be well off with the money you are about to get, and the new house will be reparation for the one destroyed during the nine-tails attack. You'll be on a secure district so you don't have to worry about the street artists anymore." – Though only Minato's two safehouses had been destroyed, his official house had long since disappeared. It was written as an accident, Danzo's men intruding and causing some space-time seal to… 'relocate' the house for lack of a better term or simply obliterated. Only Minato knew the answer to that one.

"Thanks… though, wont it be troublesome for your position as Hokage to be helping me?" – Naruto asked as he kept looking down.

"Don't thank me, this was something you long since deserved. Not something that you have to live without. As for the others… what can they do about it, I am the Hokage." – I said crossing my arms and smiling arrogantly.

"That's just tyranny!!! " – Naruto argued with a bright smile that didn't fit his words.

"… but thank you." – He whispered quietly.

"Well, it's about time I go, tomorrow you'll have to meet with my secretary as I'll be leaving on a diplomatic mission."

"Those boring missions where shinobi wait while you talk?" – Naruto joked as a bored expression passed his face.

I smiled sinisterly at him as he shuddered.

"Similar, It's one where I talk and they just nod or else…" – I left the sentence hanging as Naruto gulped.

"…O-Or else…" – he stammered.

"Or else." – I just smiled.

-------------------------------

Walking through the village was relaxing, the villagers being evaded with but simple academy Jutsus as I passed through the streets.

'It seems that random encounters were not in the script today.' – I thought as I didn't sense any mentionable figure close to me… barring certain green beasts that compelled me to change routes a few times. Them being two served only to limit my options but in the end, I evaded them without much difficulty.

Walking into the Uchiha compound, my guards knew better than to follow me, their movement stopping at the nearby rooftops, overwatching the main entrance as I strolled through.

Walking into the house, I promptly got into my role as a human being, showering, slipping into comfortable clothes, cooking, eating, cleaning as well as 'falling asleep.'

I never had a need for it, my body always being in prime condition as well as 'my' mind.

Sadly I could never know if a Hyuga was watching… now I knew that at least two were. Closing my eyes I simply stood still, lowered my body's activity, and waited. I had until the morning to think of ways to better improve my plans for the future, just like I always did.

[Warning! Mental intrusion detected!]

Though tonight would be different apparently.

Opening my eyes I saw myself standing on a big and dark empty space… the only light being around an old mand sitting in the air, floating there as if he didn't have a care in the world.

Slowly opening his eyes he looked at me as I finally stood up, my eyes locking with his Rinnegan as we stood staring at each other for what I counted to be 5 hours, 33 minutes, and 12 seconds before he spoke… what? I was supposed to be 'sleeping' anyway.

"It was quite hard to locate your mind from the rest. We have a lot to talk about… monster." – he said as I looked at him with a grin as I had already gathered sufficient information from just those words.

I clapped slowly at him and then closed the distance between us.

"Quite the contrary, we'll have a brief chat… and one of us will walk away with what he wants, the other will have to do with what he got during that time." - I said as my grin widened.
