CHAPTER SIX

"Hello Aidan it's great to finally meet you in person, I believe you were expecting me, am pretty sure this moment is in one of your numerous paintings" Klahan Mongkut said with a weird broad smile.

My mouth couldn't move, but I knew I had to speak up or this could all go to hell really fast, there was a certain uneasiness in this man's aura, one I dare not confront.

"Who are you? And what have you done to my parents?" my mouth said the words while my legs trembled, my right arm stretched out and my index finger pointed to my parents demanding some sort of explanation from this stranger.

Mom and dad looked like frozen idiotic clowns, their posture implied they couldn't move and was no longer conscious of their environment, their gaze and creepy smile however, was still incredulously fixed on me.

"Oh am sorry about that." Klahan said as he quickly looked back at my parents as if he had nothing to do with their current state.

"I wasn't sure you wanted them in on this conversation, I'm Klahan Mongkut. The human race needs your unique ability on a larger scale. Larger than cheating on a chess game or painting your girlfriend naked while she showered in her house, or knowing exactly how much money your father has, there's a war coming Aidan, one we can't win without your help, everyone and everything would be gone forever, like they never existed."

"That's a load of crap. Now I don't know who or what you are, but if you don't bring my folks back to their senses and leave my house this minute I'm calling the cops." Thanks to my speaking device I sounded brave while my body quivered.

"They killed Keith."

"You always knew something about the accident didn't add up, right? Well there you go Aidan, your brother was murdered. They wanted to kill you alone but took no chances since both your DNA were similar."

"Still want to call the cops?"

His words were straight and his eyes void of uncertainty, he wasn't kidding. "So Keith was murdered because of me?" I asked Klahan like I was deaf the first time he made that statement.

"I'll give answers to all your questions, but first I need to know your decision. Are you in or out?"

"I'm in Mr. Klahan, what happens to my parents now?"

He pulled out a cellphone from his pocket and held it in-between mom and dad. A voice that sounded a lot like a teenager began speaking from the device.

"Aidan would be going away to live with his aunt Muriel in New York, that's what you'll tell everyone, but he's actually going to be in Thailand where he'll save the world, no one can know this. He'll call you once every week, he'll be a hero, you are very proud of him."

I became utterly surprised. Klahan put the cell phone back in his pocket and my parents came to their senses. "I'll pack everything you'll be needing for your trip Aidan." Mom said in excitement. "I don't think that would be necessary Mrs. Brown, Aidan will be provided with everything he needs." Klahan said with his usual creepy smile.

Mom and Dad moved closer and gave me a very passionate hug, they chorused the words, "We are very proud of you." They kissed me goodbye as Klahan and I headed for Thailand.

"What just happened in there?" I asked Klahan immediately I got in his car.

He ignored my question, turned on the car's ignition and began our travel to the airport.

"There are two teenagers about your age, you'll meet them when we get to Thailand."

"You mean there are like me?"

"No one's like you Aidan, but they are gifted too if that's what you mean. Tunde the Hypnotist, an African American boy from New York. He's responsible for what happened back there at your place."

"You mean he hypnotized my parents?"

"Yes he did, Tunde can make any normal human do what he wants them to do and feel what he wants them to feel."

"Wow! That's totally awesome." I was unable to contain my excitement, Klahan continued.

"Reyansh the Ventriloquist an Indian boy from New Delhi, Reyansh can speak through anything, anything except humans. Trees, Land, Sea, household objects, etcetera are under his command. Reyansh could make an entire building begin saying every word that comes out from his mouth if he chooses to."

"That's totally amazing."

"Yeah it is but not quite as amazing as you Aidan the Artist. An American from Texas who paints the future in detail, you are beyond extraordinary and you've got the most important role to play in all of this.
