CHAPTER SEVEN

We arrived Bangkok at night, gorgeous bright lights revealed the stunning beauty of the city. "Your first time in Thailand?" "Yah it is."

The car zig-zagged through an uneven road and finally came to a stop after almost an hour of what I'll describe as an uncomfortable ride.

"We'll be taking a boat from here." Not until he said those words did I realize we were now close to the ocean.

"Got any form of sea sickness?" Klahan asked. "I hope not." I replied swallowing hard.

"When do I begin learning about this as- asha-?"

"Asahignomians you mean."

"Yes them, I want to know in detail what happened on the day of that accident."

"I'll tell you everything you want and need to know about Asahignomians, but first you have to settle in and rest for at least a day when we get to the Island, deal?"

"Deal." I reluctantly said as our boat began sailing. It was already 10pm when we arrived at a provincial rural island, provincial expect for the fact that the house was an insanely urban mansion, thrice the size of my father's.

"This is your room, hope you like it." The room was bigger than any single room I had ever been in, I was still overwhelmed by the thought of sleeping alone in such huge room even though I had painted it during the bumpy ride on land.

"Hi Aidan!" A voice that sounded much like the same one that hypnotized my parents barely two days ago thundered from behind us, it was the hypnotist. Tunde and I were same age but he was an inch taller than my elder brother.

"The hypnotist meets the artist." Klahan said with his usual mannerism. A weird and creepy broad smile. "Where's the ventriloquist?" I asked and then freaked out when my polo shirt said the words. "I'll be with you in a sec."

"I'll let you boys get acquainted" Klahan said as Reyansh joined us.

"We'll have our usual meeting same time tomorrow."

"Welcome to Thailand Aidan." Klahan finally said.

He walked out of the room after his creepy smile.

"What's the deal with him?" I asked. "You mean what is the deal with all of them." Reyansh countered with his thick Indian accent.

"All of them? They are more than one?"

"There are six of them, Klahan is their leader."

"Six men who'll smile creepily at you after every sentence they make." Tunde added.

My eyes grew bigger in disbelief, there were more Klahans? One was already so creepy, I wasn't sure I could stand five more.

Tunde and Reyansh began showing me around, we had access to everything we needed. The mansion was divided into two parts, three of us had one part to ourselves and the six weird men had the other, we were never allowed to go over to their side of the mansion, except when we had meetings.

"So where did they come from?" I asked.

There was a minute of silence, enough time for me to realize my question was either being ignored, or being thought about carefully.

Tunde broke the silence. "They are from Thailand but Reyansh and I strongly believe they aren't humans, they speak several languages and can imitate several accent. They can also read our minds, I'm pretty sure they've got some sick hidden abilities we don't even know about."

"How were they able take you guys away from your folks?"

"Klahan came to us first and told us about the human race vanishing forever and we were the only ones who could prevent that from happening. Once we had agreed to help, our parents said good bye, they also said we were heroes and they were proud." Reyansh said.

"My parents said something similar before I left home."

"What's with the look Aidan?" Tunde asked.

"Klahan said you hypnotized my parents."

"Can't hypnotize anyone I can't see, plus they should be near me for a perfect execution, Klahan borrowed and amplified my abilities to hypnotize your parents, it was all him, I literally did nothing."

"Is he that powerful?" I asked.

"He is." Reyansh answered and continued.

"He can use our abilities on an entirely different level, that's one of his numerous gifts I guess, but do not be troubled Aidan. They are the good guys."

"Wow I wonder just how much he could amplify my ability"

"When Reyansh used the word OUR, he was talking about me and him, not you Aidan. Klahan can't lend or amplify your abilities even if he tries to. He says you're beyond extraordinary." Tunde said.

"Apparently you'll be the one who saves us all." Reyansh butted in.
