Jiang Yuyu

In an instant, he turned back to normal. The blackness in his eyes was gone and the color of his eyes turned back to normal. The face didn't look pale and deadly anymore. No more thick black veins could be seen. The bloodthirsty aura and suffocating pressure were gone. Why?

Why did he turn back to normal?

Not that he was complaining about it, but he was simply clueless. Murong Jinzhi frowned. How could this happen? This was simply too unbelievable. To get his body under control and to release that bloodlust, there was only one way - blood. Only by killing someone would his soul receive rest. Other than that, there was no other way that could be used by him to regain sanity.

That's why on every 20th, a lot of blood would be spilled. He had killed so many people that he had lost count. Nor that he hated killing people, instead he liked to kill people. He liked to see them suffer, struggle to live, and gasp for breath. Their suffering, their tears, their pain, their helplessness made him happy. His dear father Emperor thought that this was the symptoms or the side-effect of that disease. But, he knew well, it was not.

That was his real nature, the true him. He was a devil. And, this nature would only resurface on every 20th and would only leave after at least killing a person.

However, today, something different happened. Her touch made him stop. That touch made him recover his sanity. How? What was it about her that made him stop?

Murong Jinzhi furrowed his brows and looked at the sleeping woman. What kind of secrets did she have?

Who was she?

Even the shadow guard, standing stiff like a statue couldn't help but feel shocked. If he could move then would have pinched himself to check whether the shocking scene in front of him actually happen or not. How? How can his Master turn back to normal without killing anybody?

From the place where the shadow guard was sitting stiff as a statue, he couldn't see Amelia's movement. He didn't see that it was her touch that stopped a bloody massacre. However, he was thankful that for whatever reason, his Master could retain his sanity, it was good.

The carriage continued to rush towards the capital. Inside the carriage, along with Amelia, Shen Li had also fallen asleep. That's why he missed the opportunity to notice the Crown Prince's murderous and devilish state. Three hours later, the carriage slowly but steadily was nearing the capital. At the same time, Shen Li also woke up. He took a peek at Miss Jiang and was thankful, that they were still alive.

After that, he took another daring look at the Crown Prince. To his surprise, the Crown Prince was leaning on the back of the carriage with his eyes closed. The Crown Prince looked as if he was also in a deep sleep. Shen Li sighed when suddenly he noticed the shadow guard still maintaining the same pose.

He couldn't help but feel a little bad for the poor shadow guard. He wasn't surprised by Amelia's power because he had seen her do the same thing to those bad people in the jungle. It was amazing and if he could, he would definitely want to learn how to control other people's bodies.

He moved aside the curtain and he noticed that they were almost at the gate of the capital. A few more minutes and they would be inside the capital. As this was the Crown's Prince carriage, the guards stationed at the entrance of the main gate already that the Crown Prince would be entering the capital. And, hence when the carriage passed through the large gates, the guards didn't dare to stop it.

"Miss, miss... we have reached," Shen Li shook Amelia's dress.

Immediately, Amelia woke up. The way she got up so quickly made Shen Li surprised. In any way, she did not look like the woman who was in a deep sleep just a few moments before. "That's good," Amelia cheered and sneaked a peek at the outside from the window.

"Little Li, we can leave now," she said to Shen Li.

Shen Li nodded happily. The faster they would get down from this carriage, the better.

That's when Amelia felt a heated gaze on her. She turned her head to look at the handsome man beside her and smiled at him. He was also looking at her carefully. "Thank you for the good ride," she smiled at him.

"Who are you?" Murong Jinzhi asked.

Amelia smiled and shook her head. "A stranger you helped."

"I want to know your name," Murong Jinzhi asked.

"Amel -," Amelia paused and told him her name in this world. "My name is Jiang Yuyu," she said. Anyways, there was no harm in telling him her name. No matter what, he would forget about her name, soon. She was going to use her powers and make him and his shadow guard forget everything that was related to her.

Murong Jinzhi's eyes deepened.

Jiang Yuyu?

Only one family had the surname Jiang in the capital. The General Jiang Mansion!

Was this woman General's Jiang's daughter?

"Stop the carriage," Amelia said.

Murong Jinzhi frowned. He wanted to know more about her but he knew she wouldn't tell him. Anyways, now he knew her name and where she lived, so finding anything about her wouldn't be difficult for him. So, he chose to do as she said. He broke the sound barrier around them and gave a command.

"STOP THE CARRIAGE!"

Immediately, the carriage came to a halt beside an alleyway. "Thank you," she said to him.

Then she turned to look at the shadow guard. The moment their eyes met, she smirked. Instantly, the shadow's guard heart was gripped with fear. W-what? Why was this woman looking at him? What did she want to do to him?

Ahh!!!! Master, save me!!!!!

Internally, the shadow guard was crying out for help. But his Master, the Crown Prince had no intention to help him. Instead, his eyes were glued to the woman and he wanted to see what she would do.
