Possessive Man

At the same time, in another location, where layers of rose grew on top of the whole palace, looking at it, it looked like the old castles in the seventeenth century. Underneath all of those layers of roses, were low-key luxury silver carved stone pillars, the pillars were placed strategically at the four directions – north, south, east, and west as if it was supporting the whole palace. This place was none other than the infamous 'Ghost Palace' where today's Crown Prince, Murong Jingzhi resided.

At the main seat in the palace, Murong Jingzhi was leisurely lying on his side, dressed in a luxurious black robe which was loosely tied, with long black hair casually falling to his side and it looked contrasting with his ivory fair skin with defined features. His long fingers are covered with black sleeves, only showing an inch of his porcelain skin, making anyone can't help but want to look more.

He seems to be asleep from his posture, one of his hands lazily supporting his head while the other hand just rested on the armrest, with his phoenix eyes closed. He looked very indifferent as if the entire world had nothing to do with him. When a black shadow suddenly appeared in the room, he opened his eyes, there was a glint in them and it was as if he could see through everything in the world.

"Your highness," Shadow kneeled obediently. "This is the information you wanted about Miss Jiang."

The man squinted his cat-like eyes, lazily and took the papers in his hand. "Go!" he gave a lazy command. Instantly, the shadow guard obeyed and disappeared away. Murong Jingzhi looked at the paper, his curious eyes scanned over the entire information written on the paper and he chuckled indifferently. What was written on the paper was completely different from what he saw with his own eyes. Rubbish? Waste? A fool? How could these words be described on that cunning woman?

Heh!

If that woman was a fool then there would be no wise people on this earth?

Thinking about that woman, Murong Jingzhi narrowed his eyes. Since he met that woman, he has been constantly thinking about her. Those red eyes, that cunning smile, the way she threatened him, and that moment when she sneakily stole his dagger, he could remember all of it clearly. Yes! When Jiang Yuyu stole his precious dagger, Murong Jingzhi was quite aware but he still let her do it. At that moment, he had a feeling of satisfying her. He got this desire that if she wanted something, then he would give it to her generously.

Murong Jingzhi frowned feeling confused in his heart. Why did he have this weird desire? Why did he want to satisfy her? He wasn't a generous person. Infact, he was quite the opposite. He was a very possessive man, and he didn't like other people touching his things no matter what it was. His things can only belong to him and if something dared to touch his things, then that was it. Either he would destroy that person or he would destroy that thing. But, he would never let it belong to someone else.

So, why did he let her have his dagger? Instead of getting angry, he was kinda happy. When he noticed that cunning smile that came on that woman's face, a smile came on his face.

Why?

Murong Jinzhi didn't know. He narrowed his eyes and continued to look at the information. Suddenly, the palace door swung open, and a man wearing a beautiful golden robe strode in. He carried a majestic aura, his crows sitting perfectly on top of his head, his face looked calm above the pristine fox fur neckline, while his entire being was covered in a prestigious aura. He had a face that could captivate any living thing, the beautiful golden robe worn on his figure wasn't flashy but made his whole figure even more alluring. And, this was none other than the emperor - Murong Zhan.

Behind the emperor, there was another person. He was quite small, but he still had a calm and cold look on his face. Only when this person saw the Crown Prince, did he have a sense of fear and respect on his face. This person was none other than the emperor's person eunuch and guard - Wei Zhong. When all the servants, maids, and guards saw the emperor walking inside the palace, they kneeled and bowed their heads respectfully. "Greetings your majesty!"

"Greetings your majesty!"

"All flat!" Murong Zhan waved his hand coldly.

Immediately, all the servants left the hall. While only one of the maid head-servant, also the butler of the Ghost Palace stayed behind to serve the tea to the emperor. Murong Zhan looked at his son who was ignoring him and sighed in his heart. He took a seat next to him and asked, "Azhi, why didn't you come to see me at the palace?"

"Why should I come?" Murong Jinzhi replied lazily.

Murong Zhan purses his lips slowly and sighed again. "I am your father, Azhi...."

"I know," Murong Jinzhi nodded. "But so what?"

"Azhi, I am worried about you." Murong Zhan said and looked at him carefully. "I heard that you were assassinated on the road, back to the capital."

"Isn't it all thanks to you?" Murong Jinzhi sneered and looked at the emperor. "You should know how to control your woman better, Emperor Murong. Otherwise, don't blame me for killing her."

Hearing his cold reply, Murong Zhan felt even more guilty. After all, his son was right, everything that happened was all due to his fault. If he could, he would want to go back in time and change everything, but he couldn't. He was completely helpless in this matter. If it wasn't for his incompetence and his weakness back then, maybe his empress, the only woman he truly loved, and Murong Jinzhi's mother would have been alive. Maybe, his son wouldn't be hating him so much. Maybe, his son wouldn't be so alienated from him.
