Seasick

Ilona didn't hurry to Mason's side.  She'd seen this countless times before, and she knew there would be nothing she could do.  It was seasickness.  She should've guessed this would happen as soon as he told her he had never been on a ship.

Someone cleared their throat beside her, and when she looked, she saw it was Pierce.

"Not much of a sailor, is he?  Your prince..."

Ilona frowned and crossed her arms.  She couldn't argue with him even though she was dying to put him in his place.  They'd been at sea less than a full night, and he was already tiptoeing on her nerves.

Mason finished and righted himself as best he could, one arm lightly wrapped around his middle.

"I-Ilona," he shook his head, "I'm so sorry I... I don't know what's come over me."

"What's wrong with him?" came another voice from behind Ilona, speaking in the pirate language, "Is he sick?"
