The Talk

Mason helped Ilona down into the cabin as he had before and then dropped down after her.  She looked back over her shoulder at him and frowned.

"I'm just packing some things.  I don't need help."

Mason nodded, folding his arms and leaning back against the wall.  "That's alright.  I'll just wait to help you out when you're ready."

Ilona rolled her eyes before turning back to her things.  Rummaging around in her chest, she soon pulled out a sack and began stuffing her clothes into it.  She grabbed her hairbrush, soap, and towel.  Then, when Mason turned to look at something, she quickly snatched her little hand mirror from its place hanging on the wall and tucked it inside her sack as well.

For whatever reason, she didn't want Mason to know she included it in her important items to take.

"Here," she said, handing him the sack once it was full, "Put that up on deck."
