Meeting In The Garden

It didn't take long for more and reports to come in. It seems like the group she had sent rat hunting had run into quite a few groups. Using a map of the city they had noted where they had roughly had fights with the rats. As she looked at their map, they all seemed to be mainly gathered around one spot in particular. The sewer entrance.

Pavitra frowned as she imagined what was down there. It would definitely be disgusting but the rats had to be cleaned out fully so that no more could get out and even harm civilians! "I want a permanent force, to be set here. Arrange the watch rotor between yourselves and get the engineers to help form a defensive position there for you." Just as the adventures and mercenaries left. Captain Abhay walked in, his arm was bleeding a little, but it didn't seem to really bother him much.

"Your highness, we raided the adventures and killed all who resisted. Many of them though surrendered. It was only the elites who joined in the fight and tried to beat us back. We didn't find much inside, that was except for a large supply of money as well as weapons and food."

Pavitra thought for a second after hearing this, "Move all the weapons as well as the money into the keep where it can be checked and sorted. The food, i want you to distribute around the people."

He slammed his feet into the ground as he left the room. Pavotra waited for a few more minutes, before leaning back. She had, had enough of this kind of work already. It was boring. "Glad I have officials, to do most of this for me," she muttered to herself.

Then she stood up and walked out of the throne. In the end, she ended up walking down one of the many hallways of the castle. She ended up in front of what appeared to be the Count's room. Her hands, brushed over the door handle before she walked inside.

Unlike what she was expecting, the room itself was extremely bare. There was a bed and a massive window. Aside from an animal fur that had been draped over the floor, there was nothing inside of the room. Feeling a little disappointed at this she walked back out and started to go back towards the hall.

That was when she saw Shourya walking through one of the gardens...He was alone.

She looked around carefully again, trying to make sure that there was definitely no one else around. Her confidence was boosted a bit when she confirmed there was no one. Then she walked towards him slowly. He didn't see her coming..as she got closer she, slowed down bit by bit and then.

"BOO!" She screamed right into his ear.

The poor man almost jumped out of his skin and Pavitra burst out laughing, It had been a long time since she had been able to scare anybody. As Shourya turned around to see the laughing Princess. He couldn't help but smile a little bit. In truth, he had completely forgotten about all of the pranks that Pavitra used to pull on him.

Then he shot forwards trying to tickle her.

Seeing him coming, she laughed more and rolled out of the way. Then she ran off around the garden, Shourya was right behind her. They were both smiling like crazy as they ran. For both of them, it had been a long time since they could just relax and play. With the opportunity, Pavitra was excited and happen to make the most of it.

Then as she was running, she tripped on a branch!

As she fell onto the floor, Shourya caught up to her instantly. His hands tickling her over everywhere that he could touch. She couldn't help but giggle and scream.

"Shourya! Shourya! Please stop! Pleaseeeee!" Maybe due to her begging or some other reason, he finally stopped and helped her back to her feet.

For a second they both stood there staring into each eye's, as the sun shined down onto them….

Then he broke away the eye contact and looked towards one of the fountains that were within the garden. Pavitra frowned a little, that moment had been good and he ruined it. Then as she wondered in front of his vision, the frown disappeared.

"You will need a reward as you killed the Count. Anything that you want...anything at all?"

Shourya stood there thinking for a second, unable to decide exactly what he wanted. "Just serving you is enough."

His reply was definitely not what she wanted to hear. She pivoted around and faced him. "Shourya...you have to have something. Come on think!" Little did she know, but as she turned quickly, her dress flew up for a second and he was able to get a glimpse of something.

As Pavitra asked him the question, he had gone bright red and was now too embarrassed to even be able to speak at all. "Hey, why are you blushing for? You don't want...How could you think like that you pervert!" She quickly slapped him around the face, assuming that he was blushing for a completely different reason.

Then she went to storm off.

Just as she was about to go, he reached out and grabbed ahold of her hand, causing him to freeze. "No, that is not what I want. I am better than that. I want to be on your personal guard. To be nearer to you more, not always far away."

Pavitra slowly listened to his request. It was a simple one to do really. He had proven himself as an able fighter already as well as that, she didn't really have a personal guard anyway and he was an officer already so maybe…

"Ok, in three hours come to the hall. I will give your reward to you there. For now...could you let go of my hand. People may come in and see, I do not want them assuming things.

Shourya being a little dense and acting a bit.

Inncoentky asked, "Assume what?"

Pavitra just made a loud groan and took her own hand out of his grip before storming off.

"Three hours!" She yelled just as she left the garden.
