A Decision Made

They all looked at Pavitra who had seemingly come out of her thought track. The first to stand up and speak was one of the mages. This was surprising for Pavitra though as until now they had never had any kind of real thought in the runnings of everything. So seeing one of them go to speak, Pavitra would be lying if she said that she was not a little bit intrigued, to say the least.

The mage though did not seem nervous as he slowly walked up into the middle of the group. "My name is not important, you all would probably forget it, but I am what you would call an earth mage. My opinion and those of my fellow mages are that, instead of deciding now. We should first explore the valley as much as we can first and instead make a decision when we have more information. We do not need or want to make a hasty choice just has been said, it can affect us forever if we make a bad one."

Once he had finished speaking his part, he then walked back and sat down. The group then instead of giving their opinions all began to talk amongst themselves once more. It seems like the suggestion had, had a good impact on all of the people who were around. Pavitra smiled seeing this, it was exactly what she wanted. People talking and debating, having more minds working on a problem was always better than one. It would allow for many approaches to be considered. The best answer would always be found this way.

Though in her heart, after hearing what had been saying she also agreed fully. There was no need to start building their capital yet. Instead, as she thought about it, they should explore. Not to mention there was still the question mark which was on the rough map which had been done. It would be really interesting to see what was in there and if there was something, what was it? It did not look natural and what kind of being could make that, only she could wonder herself!

Then once the group had finished their discussion amongst themselves again, Pavitra looked through all of their faces. "Are you all in agreement then, with what has been said by the mage?" Every single person nodded their head, and in their eyes, there was not a shred of doubt about it.

Seeing that, she was a little happy. But there was also the rest of what had to be done now as well. There was a lot to do now that they were here.

"Ok, with that let us move onto the rest of the meeting. We are making a duchy! SO we need to establish the right groundwork for that right now! You all know of the traditional way I am sure? I want to change it a bit. We need a few departments, the administration and military being the most important for now. The military will handle defence and all security work as well as intelligence gathering and exploration. The administration will handle, the rest. Everything to do with, the civilians lives as well as the establishment and building of new territory. The two groups will have to work together well. Now the only other thing, I want where we are now to be an important fort and trade point. A wall will need to be built from both sides of the valley."

She then took a massive breath after saying all of that. Looking into the eyes of everyone to see what they were all thinking. In them, she could see no real faults for now, which was good at least.

"Ok, the city will be our first. So it shall be done will. Everyone will focus on this for now. The exploration will be handled by rangers as well as the adventures and mercinaries. Also, I will lead some of my guards to help at points as well. For now, you are all dismissed. Work on a plan for the border city. We shall meet tomorrow to discuss it."

With that, the whole group soon left, to work on whatever they had to do. She just hopes that everything she was trying for could be done well.

After they all had left, all that was left was now her and Shourya once again. As looked straight at him, she remembered what had happened just before the meeting. Her cheeks went red a little. Then her eyes hardened on him once more as he slowly began to approach where she was.

He was looking down the whole way. It was kind of weird how he was acting. Like a young child about to confess his love...Wait, he was not about to do that right?

Her heart began to speed up as he got closer. Once he was before her, his voice rang inside of her ears. It was not what she had thought through…

"Pavitra I am sorry for what I did. I hope you can forgive me?" He only just mumbled the last bit. He was clearly worried, this did make her smile a bit. Her cold exterior always seemed to melt away when she was with him.

"Of course I can forgive you. Oh, how is your face? I did not hit you too hard right?" His concern for him was genuine. She did not want him to hate or even dislike her. There friendship and bond was the most important thing to her right now.

As he looked up to see the worry in her eyes, his own heart fluttered a small bit.

"I am fine. I deserved it anyway. I better go see to the training. May I go?" At that moment in time, all he wanted to do was escape from her gaze. He did not know what he was feeling at her concern. But even if it felt right to him deep down. He knew that socially it was wrong.

Seeing the nod from her, he soon left. Only to end up, face to face with the lieutenant-general!
