Let's Do The Matchmaking!

Ajax Brajamohan has no daddy's warm smile to his only son, Artemis. Artemis was a rebel bad boy who always made him having a heart attack. Now, he has to see his sole heir was dressing in a biker's uniform and having fun with danger.

"Are you out of your mind? Haven't you listen to my warning!" Ajax now raised his voice and put both his hands on his hips. Artemis snorted in annoyance and turned his head to another side.

"Dad ... you should congratulate me. I won this time, look here's the trophy!" Artemis defended himself but showing off his trophy and medal. But Ajax frowned and got more annoyed.

"I don't care with that silly medal! Don't you know that you are risking your life for this shit!" Artemis now gritted his jaw. His father never tried to understand his passion or anything that made him happy.

"I love riding my bike. And I always won the championship; I thought you are going to be proud of me!" replied Artemis curtly. Now Ajax chuckled towards his boy.

"If you want to make me proud, you must stand on your progression of the business, not with this bullshit!" he grabbed the medal and threw it away.

"Dad!"

"Don't you try to raise your tone at me! I always told you to grow up; you're 25 now, and look what you're up to dJezz!" Ajax went away and left Artemis with his disappointed face. He stepped forward to pick the medal then turned himself on the stairs to his room.

He was tired but disappointed. Not because of his life, but his parents, especially his father. He was the only son but threatened worse than an employee. Ajax never felt satisfied with Artemis's achievement at anything.

Since he was a kid, Artemis should perform the best thing in sains or math. Luckily, he's a genius boy, so that subject was becoming his favorite. But he has another passion in his blood. He loved riding a bike. Moreover, he wanted to be a professional racer.

When he met Ariel as if he found his soulmate, Ariel was a great mechanic. Formerly, they were high school's pals and still stayed as a best friend.

Ajax hated his son's passion for machines and racing. He opposed in every single way by not supporting Artemis's needs. So Artemis found his way by winning some racing. The money he had from the race has accommodated his life recently. Moreover, he got the spotlight as a famous biker in Jakarta from social media. Most of the team who had racing must have known him because of his social media post.

Everything seemed such a perfect outer shell, but inside, only Ariel knew the real-life of Artemis Brajamohan. Artemis did not let his father's words crossed his mind. He chose to take a bath and sleep.

The next morning, he went downstairs at 9 AM. It was too late to have breakfast. His dad was glaring at him as if Artemis cared about the look. In contrast, his Mom chose to stay calm as always.

"Do you know what time is it?" Ajax sarcastically asked his son when Artemis sat down with his messy hair and eye boogers.

"Yes, Dad. It is at 9 o'clock. You should see your watch!" replied Artemis casually with a similar satire. Ajax was shaking his head in disbelief to see his unchanged son every day.

The precious son, Artemis, was unbothered and took a slice of bread to put the jam on it and bit it afterward. He chewed the food without seeing anyone but the table in front of him.

"After breakfast and cleaning yourself, I want you to get into my working room. I need to talk to you!" added Ajax after five minutes of listening to his son's chewing sound.

"About what?" Artemis was still chewing while answering, and it almost made a chunk of bread spit out his mouth.

"Do not talk when you are chewing, Darling. You're so gross, Arte. If someone saw you, they probably thought I must never tell you anything about manners!" Lavender Smith, Artemis's mom, admonished her son about his bad habit of eating.

Artemis now stopped chewing his food and glancing at his Daddy.

"There's something important I need to talk about. So you better wash, and I'll wait for you in my room now!" Artemis still sat on his chair without moving or doing anything. He didn't respond to his father's words yet until Ajax, who already stood reminding him about his last command.

"Be quick ... I have to go to work!" said Ajaz coldly and left to his working room. Artemis snorted and half-threw his left bread to the plate.

"I'm done!" he got up and left the table just like his father, but he went up to his bedroom. Lavender Smith took a deep breath after leaving alone both by her husband and son. She called a maid to clean the table and discontinued her breakfast.

She always has to review the same everyday life, The cold husband and the rebel son. Lavender accepted her destiny by leaving her love life and married the man she didn't know. Thus, her son would face the same thing. She didn't want to interfere, let the situation took all the control.

Artemis took about 20 minutes to get ready and walked into his father's office. When he went in, Ajax was reading business news on the couch while waiting for him.

"Have a seat!" he commanded like always. Artemis just sat in front of his father with a flat face. He was waiting for his father to continue the things he wanted to talk about, but Ajax still busy scrolling his tablet.

'What the hell does he want from me? To watch him scrolling the tab while I'm sitting here like a dumb!' asked Artemis on his mind. He was rolling his eyes to his father, who didn't move an inch.

"Dad!" asked Artemis could not wait anymore. He has been sitting there for almost 10 minutes doing nothing. Ajax raised his cold face after 30 seconds Artemis called him.

"I want you to have a date, a girl. I'm planning to match-make you!" Artemis's eyes popped out.

"WHAT!"
