Don't Do Something Dumb!

Do you know how does it feel when your head hit by a brick? You'll get straightly spinning and more probably becoming dumb. That's how Artemis felt on his head when his father proposed to him a funny idea.

Artemis spurted out loud laughs abruptly after hearing his Daddy's proposal. But Ajax narrowing his sight with a frown look to see his son's reaction.

'What the hell is so funny?' he wondered on his mind.

"I'm not joking, Arte. What makes it funny!" exclaimed Ajax with his eyes stare. Artemis stopped his laugh and noticed his father in a strange expression.

"So you're not joking?" he made sure by asking a dumb thing. Ajax loosened his breath and glanced to his left side.

"This is why I intend you to do this matchmaking because you are acting like a fool every single day!" Ajax added in a higher tone. Artemis's grimace sullen after hearing those.

"This girl is special. And I want you to know her first before we make a special dinner for your official date." Artemis shook his head, and he declined the idea. There's no way he would want to be matched with someone.

"No, I oppose this idea. I'm 25 years old now, Dad. I have my own life, and I got my girlfriend!"

"Who is she? Was that the greedy girl that came a few months ago and having sex in your room?" Ajax pointed at Artemis and accused him of getting strangers into his room. Artemis was silent and did not want to reply to it.

Okay, that girl probably just went for his money, but she was hot. So what's the deal?

"No ... I have another girl on my list!" said Artemis with his self-assurance.

"How many girls do you have on your list?" Ajax mocked Artemis coldly. And innocent Artemis thought his father was asking him seriously.

"I guess five!" Ajax nodded.

"That's it! You're going to have the matchmaking for real!. Do not say no or trying to elude this!" Ajax stood from his seat and walked to the door. He left Artemis dumbfounded sat there without moving his body at all.

THE SKOOL GARAGE

Artemis threw his car door after he went out. He was annoyed walking to Ariel's garage to find his best friend. Ariel was still busy scrolling with his note and design on his tablet's display when Artemis broke into his room.

"I can't believe this!" yelled Artemis abruptly. Ariel was shocked and raised his face to peer at his friend.

"What happened to you? Why do you come in and do not knock on the door?" replied Ariel in a flat cast.

"Do I have to knock!"

"Of course, this is my place, and I'm the boss!"

"But you are not my boss!" Artemis added nonchalantly. Ariel only shook his head and continue his work. To see his unbothered friend, Artemis was getting more annoyed.

"Don't you care about me at all! You're always busy!" Ariel raised his head and stared at Artemis, still with the same expression.

"Do you know, you sounded like a girl!"

"I'm flattered!" mocked Artemis and grab a chair to sit in front of Ariel.

"What's happening to you?" asked Ariel eventually. Artemis sighed and suddenly sad.

"My Dad has such a brilliant, crazy idea. Guess what it is? He wants me to do the matchmaking!" Ariel frowned his forehead, but after a few seconds, he grinned.

"So what's the deal. I agree with your Dad, and you should have a good girlfriend!" Now Artemis turned to pout.

"What! I thought you're going to be by my side!"

"I am ... I'm supporting it!" Artemis shook his head in disbelief. He couldn't believe that he had no friends at all!

"You supposed to reject the idea, not to accept it! What do you think I am, a dumb man who can't have a girlfriend!" Ariel quickly nodded without a doubt. It made Artemis promptly had a flat grimace. Meanwhile, Ariel was chuckling to see his sudden change expression.

"Look, bud. Your father wants the best thing for you. He wants you to change to be a better man!"

"By matchmaking me?"

"Maybe that's one of the ways. Who knows that your next future wife is probably the most beautiful girl on Earth!"

"Are you trying to praise me or knock me down!" Ariel smiled at Artemis and closed his iPad.

"Listen to me. You are lucky to have everything. You have complete family showing their caring, so you should be happy about it, be grateful!"

"That's not caring. That is the showing of abuse power that my Dad has on me. He wants me to do anything he wants by disgrading my passion for racing. He wants me to stop doing it by making me do the matchmaking!" Artemis blurted out his reason, and it silenced Ariel.

"He wants me to marry soon, so I may have change into someone he wants!" he added and scoffed at the end.

"So, what are you going to do now?" asked Ariel eventually.

"He asked me to have a blind date before the official dinner in a few days." Artemis sighed and threw his back on the seat. He was wondering how to elude dating.

"When was the date?"

"He didn't set it up yet, but I'm sure it will be today!" Ariel pursed his lips and nodded. What could he do? He only might have listened to his friend.

As Artemis predicted a few seconds ago, now the nightmare has come. A phone vibrated to interrupt them. Artemis then checked the phone to read the notification.

"It's happening! See!" Artemis showed his phone and pressed his tone annoyingly. Ariel read Mr. Brajamohan's message to his son, Artemis, and raised his gaze to Artemis.

"This is the time and place to have that stupid blind date! Now, you believe me, right!" Ariel did not answer Artemis's fuss. He knew he could not add anything to this, or it would get worse.

"So, what can I help you with?" Ariel should not ask the question; he'd be sorry for the rest of his life. Now Artemis smirked and closed himself to Ariel.

"How about ... you'll be switching as me?"
