Brutally Murdered

"So, what's new?" Donald asked after putting his phone away. He took a bottle that had already been placed in front of him.

Ramon smirked and pointed ahead with his chin, "that's what's up."

Donald followed his line of sight and found a lady sitting by the corner. She was indeed a beauty. She had long black hair and an oval face. She wore a black jacket over her blue dress.

"What about her?" he asked after taking his time to check her out.

"Seriously?" Jack, another of his friend asked in surprise. "Don't you find her stunning?"

"Not as much but yes."

"The trap lies in whether anyone can seduce her or not. We've tried all we could but she won't budge." Henry added.

Donald raised an eyebrow and turned to look at the lady who had a book in hand.

"Even I couldn't seduce her." Ramon sighed.

"Excuse me but you're not really up to my standards." Donald said with a smug smile on his face.

Ramon scoffed. He held the second highest record of most women seduced within a day! How could he say his skills were subpar?

"Mind you I have twenty girls already this week!" Ramon wanted to assert his stand.

Donald raised his hands in surrender.

"Are you up for the challenge?" asked Henry.

"I will not just make her fall for me but I'll get her into bed." Donald stood up and patted his shirt a bit.

"If you succeed then we'll give you $1000 each!"

"Keep your money. Mind you, this won't be a quickie so you might not see me here after we leave." He walked away gingerly towards the lady.

He had tactfully grabbed a bottle of wine and two glasses. He sat beside her and threw a glance at the other three men who were looking intently at them. He smiled and ignored them.

"Hi, I'm Donald." He started.

The lady didn't even lift her face from the book she was reading. She said, "I don't know you, get lost."

"Too bad," Donald sighed and gestured to the bottle in his hand, "I thought we could share a drink."

The lady continued to read without a care.

"Being stood up sucks real bad," Donald continued with eyes filled with pain. It seemed like someone whose heart had just been broken. "You put a lot of effort into preparing for this date and when you ask her out she agrees. You get ready and arrive at the bar you were supposed to meet just to discover that she is two hours late without the intention to show up.

"All you can do is sit by a corner silently watching others discuss and enjoy themselves. Absolutely lonely."

"You got stood up?" the lady closed the book and looked at him now. She noticed how pained his expression was.

He nodded. "I really like her that it makes me miserable. But not showing up?"

The lady's eyes flickered a bit and she looked away with a sigh. "Have you ever stood someone up?"

"I'd never do that especially to a lady. I try to make every woman I meet happy."

"Why didn't you leave then?" she asked.

"I would've but then I noticed you sitting here by yourself so lonely that it reflected my situation. I just thought I could bring you a drink and we could share each other's company."

She bit her lips slightly before shrugging. "I guess one glass won't kill."

Donald poured two glasses and then raised a toast. "To the lonely ones!"

"To the lonely ones!" she replied and drank slowly.

Donald smiled to himself. The bait had just taken the bribe. He had deduced why the lady was sitting there alone. It took less effort from his part since he had several years of experience with women. Hitting her soft spot was all it took to get her attention.

"So, you haven't told me your name yet."

"Margaret."

"So, Margaret, what's your story? Why were you sitting alone over here?"

She sighed and dropped the glass. "My boyfriend stood me up as usual and I think he's hooking up with some bimbo."

She then told him about him and why she had been so sad when he didn't show up today as usual. The expression on Donald's face showed that he was disgusted at the man.

"He's an asshole for not realising what he has."

"I know." Margaret pulled her hair behind her ears. They drank and chatted about random things. Just like that thirty minutes had passed.

"So, Donald," Margaret said all of a sudden, "do you mind if we go somewhere quiet? It's noisy in here."

"Of course. Anything for the lady." Donald gave his hand to her and she took it with a sweet smile. Mission accomplished.

Henry, Ramon and Jack watched with wide eyes when they saw the lady smiling so fondly around Donald like they'd known each other for years. They were even more shocked when they saw him leading the lady away.

"Of course he seduced her. He's worthy of the title, 'god of seduction.'" Jack sighed deeply.

….

Clair put her things together and prepared to leave the hospital. She had just ended her double shift for the day and was extremely tired.

She said goodbye to her colleagues before leaving. She took a cab home in anticipation to sleeping on her soft bed and resting.

She arrived home and went inside the house but the moment she entered, a foul stench assaulted her nose. She twitched her nose to keep the smell out. She wondered what it was.

She took quick steps towards the bedroom but her feet stepped on something sticky. It was dark, red and sticky. It was blood!

Her eyes widened in surprise. When she entered the bedroom, she could almost taste the blood in the air. Combined with the smell of blood were urine and the smell of faeces. She noticed a bundle lying near the foot of the bed.

She crept towards it and her eyes almost popped out. That bundle was Bobby or more accurately what remained of him!

His head was twisted till his face was facing his back. His legs were bent the other way at the knees and five ribs stood out of his skin. His hands were broken and twisted till they turned unnaturally. Bone fragments stuck out from different parts of his flesh.

His body was then bent till it became smaller. His head was cracked and dark red blood trickled out. A large gaping hole was on his stomach where his liver was supposed to be. His intestines were pulled out through the gaping wound but it still stuck inside his body.

He had been brutally murdered!

Clair lost her balance and fell over. Tears rolled down her face but she didn't know how well to cry because of this. The shock overcame the hurt. She had seen him just this morning!
