Standing in front of a little building, I was dressed in movable clothes, jeans and a T-shirt, with leather boots. It was a Tuesday that they accepted me, a day after it was recommended to me, and luckily I had a clear schedule, so I rushed over as soon as possible.
During school hours, I had to adjust that Elias didn't come to school. So instead of sitting int the corner, I sat with my other friends, and Sophie took advantage of that, and started her stupid little pranks again. This time, someone flat out refused to be in any part of her shenanigans, aloud.
When after school practice happen, the young boys were surprised when I didn't change out of my uniform. I just raised and eyebrow, daring them to question, and they immediately started their practice. Today was a match day, where three sets of pairs would have the chance to fight, and this was the day to be critics.
"Hold the blade, here, it will balance better." I gently moved the boy's hand, to where it should be, and I watched him turn beet red, I looked over my shoulder to another pair, and saw the same problem. Releasing the boy's sword, I moved onto the next one.
For the rest of my time, I made sure to improve their grip on their blade, and most of them improved with the correction, and that was pleasing. I remember leaving the room, and all the boys paused, to wave goodbye, it wouldn't last long, because they barely speak when Elias is here. After I convinced Madam Dorthy where I was going, and handed her a written notice, I left the school and arrived to the small building.
Pushing the door open, I was greeted instantly by a middle aged woman, her graying hair pulled into a ponytail, and her green eyes watching me carefully. She was a short lady, but I could tell she had a temper, I swallowed quietly, my hands were sweating drastically, and I tried to calm my nerves, as she continued to eyeball me.
"Your paperwork has been filled out, all I need you to do, is not touch anything without permission." She crossed her arms in front of her, I took that moment to look around the room, the strong smell of incense, clouded my nose, as I noticed the herbal supplements, and plants, on a shelf.
"What are you planning on doing for my condition?" I asked, slightly concerned about my well being. She turned around and picked up a tray of items, motioning that I take a seat on a fur rug.
"I don't think it's your muscles, but I want to test a couple of things, to make sure my judgement is correct, miss Willow." I let out a deep breath, and held out my arm, as she rubbed herbal substances into my skin.
An hour passed, and my arm felt numb, but soothingly cool, I could feel my muscles relax, and felt immediate relief. "Don't put stress on this arm for a little while, as a left handed person, that may be a problem. However, I want you to come back next week, and I want to see how much you have improved, with the set of instructions I will give you." She started writing notes on a little notepad, and I rubbed my arm.
"Why do you do herbal medicines?" I asked, while looking at the wall of awards and doctorates. She looked up from her writing, and I noticed her eyes glowing slightly.
"It brings me closer to my people, many call us cursed, but you'd be surprised how many lives I've saved." I nodded, and realized who my therapist was, she was a witch and a powerful one.
"My condition?" I inquired, and she let out a sigh.
"It's not permanent, but you'll have to be patient, I can tell your muscles are healing, and with these massages, you'll have no problem. The concerning thing though, is that someone wanted to harm you this way." I stared into her green emerald eyes, and clenched my jaw, 'I've been asking myself the same thing.'
"That's just the way of the world." I muttered, and she slightly bobbed her head. Tearing off the piece of paper, she handed it to me, and a bag full of herbal plants, and a couple of incenses. "These are for?" I pointed at them, and she just chuckled.
"Those will help you, relax." I just nodded my head, and waved her goodbye, thankfully this was free this time, now it's just a hundred dollars per visit, until I can hold a sword properly. Stepping into the car, Gerald hung up the phone instantly, and looked back at me.
"This was the best option." I expressed, and watched his worry features leave his face. And then the rest of the day became a blur, since it was all repetitive, school, practice, home, lessons at home, and finally, free time.

"Your Highness, the King has requested your presence." My Father's assistant stood there in fine cotton clothing, black dress pants and a white cotton shirt, finishing with leather boots. The man's hair was short, and he was growing a beard. I think to get rid of his young features.
"I'll be there." I replied, as I typed out a message to Rebecca, [How did it go?], after pressing send, I turned around and followed the assistant to the King's wing. Each royal member of the family has a wing, that has everything they need, room, office, library, and extra guest bedrooms. When I entered the hall, I paused when the Councilor stepped out of the room.
"Your Highness, the King is recovering well, he's ready to see you now." The Councilor pointed to the door, with a smirk, rushing past him, I ignored him. Placing my hand on the cool metal handle, I looked back and glared at him.
"I don't need you to tell me, when I can see His Majesty." Opening the door, I walked into the magnificent golden room, with blue accent items. The King's bed was a king size with a bed-set that was a dark color, most like black.
There was also a drape that covered the King's bed, creating a veil around the sleeping figure, preventing visitors, to see him. Stepping toward the bed, I took his hand, and he smiled after I took a seat.
"Leave." I commanded the people in the room, servants, guards, and even the doctor. Once the door clicked, indicating no one was in the room, I looked at Father. "You just don't know your limits." I let out a deep sigh, as he motioned for me to help him into a sitting position.
"Elias, you shouldn't be rude to the Councilor. It can hurt your image." I gritted my teeth at the mention of the Councilor. That man was the source of all the problems.
"When I have a strong feeling about someone, it's hard to change how I feel about that person. He's a threat to the crown." I muttered aloud while placing pillows behind his back for comfort. Letting go of his hand.
"Hmmm." The King hummed lightly, then looked away from my eyes and looked at the beautiful portrait of the five great Elders of the Dragon Nation.
"They were bold to hurt both Rebecca and me, it's something I can't forgive or forget easily." I could feel those deep green eyes staring, and when I met them, they were glossy.
"How is she coping?" He asked, and I let out a sigh, 'if only she had the patience to understand that recovering takes time.' I thought to myself.
"She's... coping, however, I can tell it's killing her, to not pick up a blade. That was a low move of that man." I growled, and the King just nodded his head, he's seen his son go through many stages, and he knows that his son was, of course, a dragon.
"Calm, your eyes are glowing, my son." He reached out and patted my hand, and instantly I felt the power that flowed in my veins, cool. "Why don't you heal her?" He asked and I looked away from his probing eyes. I wanted to help her, but I haven't had a teacher thus, I had little control over my powers.
"I wish I had someone to speak to. Humans have plenty of resources, plus, they don't have to hide their powers, and worry about hurting someone. My kind is so close to extinction, it's painful." A couple of tears trailed down, and I flinched when a drop landed on the back of my hand.
"They're not dead." My father's voice sounded stern, as he looked at the portrait. I knitted my brows together, 'Those dragons have been dead for about a century and a half.' I looked between the picture and father, noticing there was sadness etched in his features.
"What do you mean? Are you saying that they faked their deaths?" I asked, standing up from my seat, when he didn't correct me, my thought went to the dragon that has been connecting with Rebecca.
"I'm sure they'd be delighted to hear from a hatchling, and help the child per your request." He spoke, his eyes slowly drooping close, as he was fighting sleep.
"They would protect her anyway, she's special to them." I clasped my hands, I've figured out a plan, there was something that only -one of the five elder dragons- could do. Healing someone, without changing the species, or taking one's energy.
It does involve magic, a special kind of magic, one that can create a certain serum. That's all she needed, and then she can go back to dominating the world, and being less grumpy. Now the only problem, is how to connect with the Elder dragon.
Stepping out of the massive bedroom, I grabbed the fastest horse and dashed across the the night to our spot, and there she was, in a lightweight white shirt and her usual black pants and boots. She turned around, and surprise was written on her face, but happiness overtook that emotion, quickly.
"Seeing that you're here, you're in need of something." I chuckled lightly, before stepping off my horse, taking him over by Rosa, I loosely dropped the rein, indicating he was to stay.
"Can you control your connection with, the elder dragon?" I spitted out the question, and she stood there in silence, I could tell she was thinking, I could see the gears turning in her head.
"Define control? All he does is speak in riddles, and gives me visions." She replied, while tilting her head up to the sky, she smiled slightly, then lowered her eyes.
"I just wanted to know. How was your visit?" She turned around and, her eyes were bright, with excitement, then dimmed when she thought of something.
"I've definitely improved, however this is cutting into my training time." She muttered aloud, I reached over and flicked her forehead, payback for all the times she did it, during lessons, but also to catch her attention.
"It will take time, Rebecca, just wait." She nodded and I smiled.
