He's An Asshole, right?

Glamour's POV

I froze in my steps at the ring of the doorbell, who's at the door again, I asked myself, because I knew Mr husband wouldn't ring the doorbell before coming in, and if it was a friend of his they should have seen him outside by the beach.

I quickly went to spit out the garbage I had just tasted into the water closet before going to the doorstep to open the door.

A guy stood at the door holding up a few boxes.

"Food delivery for Mrs. Daniels," he announced and I was confused for a while, and I was about to tell him he probably came to the wrong cabin, before remembering Mr. Husband's name was actually Draige Daniels.

My mind was yet to register the fact that I had become a Mrs until this guy here announced it.

I must have been staring at him for too long looking puzzled because he asked again after if he was at the wrong cabin.

"Sorry I just didn't remember ordering for anything," I said, apologizing for not answering.

"Oh no problem, your husband had been the one who ordered," he said with a smile.

"Oh," was all I could manage, I then collected the boxes from him before going inside.

I didn't close the door because of the boxes in my hands so when I dropped them, I went back to close the door and the guy was still standing there.

"Is there something else left for me to do?" I asked him as I didn't see him making any move to leave.

"Yes ma'am, I just need a little signature here and that's it, " he said while pointing to a notepad he was holding.

I looked at him and my heart skipped a bit, I was a little skeptical about anything that involves me adding my signature, because the last time I signed something, it completely turned my life around.

I looked at him wearily, not sure if I wanted to sign that book regardless of what was written on it.

I was about to tell him to go meet Draige to sign it as I didn't order anything, but before I could say it though the devil himself appeared in front of me and collected the notepad, and signed it without question.

I left them outside and started to open the boxes to see what he had ordered. One box held in it, a plate with some sort of stew, and the other contained a few pieces of bread that looked a lot like pancakes.

I scanned it wearily and thinking to myself if this isn't supposed to be breakfast. I kept that aside before opening the last box, and that one contained a few chicken legs.

I reluctantly reached for the pancake, and the chicken before going back to seat on the sofa.

"You might wanna add the fish stew with the Jonny cakes because they are meant to be eaten together," he said walking back in.

Wait did he just say johnnycake and fish stew? I've heard about those it's kinda on my list of foods to try when I visit the Bahamas, I thought excitedly in my head, but I didn't let the excitement show up on my face.

I looked back to see him bringing the stew to me. Because I was already seated on the sofa, and I didn't make any move to get up, he then sets the stew in front of me on the sofa before going to seat on the sofa that's next to mine.

Why isn't he leaving I wondered, not sure if I wanted to eat in his presence, as sitting on the sofa with all these meals in front of me seemed too messy, which lead me to think of the possible reasons why there is no single dining area in this cabin.

Was it built with the intention of never having a meal inside it, I asked myself but couldn't find any answers to that.

I looked at Mr. Husband and then back at my meal, unsure if I should just ignore him and eat my meal. I might hate him, but I could never hate food because no matter how angry and sad I might be, I eat as that's my most favorite thing to do, well next to watching movies of course.

After seeing that he wasn't going to get up I started to eat my food while ignoring him and I also didn't bothering to share. I mean, if he wanted some he would have ordered for two servings, and not one, I thought toy self.

I gently unwrapped the plate with the stew in it, and set it aside before I picked up the johnnycake and dipped it in the fish stew. though I'm not sure if this is how it's eaten, I just continued to put the dipped johnnycake in my mouth.

The cake smelled somewhat like pancakes and it tasted like one too, but much better I'd have to admit, which is probably because of the fish stew.

I had forgotten about the guy sitting in the next chair as I enjoyed my meal until he spoke.

" Why did you leave the shoes I got you back at the beach?" he asked his voice neutral not showing any signs of anger or disappointment.

I had forgotten about those shoes when I got up to return to the cabin because I didn't want to stay in the same space as him.

I didn't know why he was asking though and I didn't know if I wanted to give him any answers, so I didn't look up to him, I just continued to eat my food in silence.

He got up after a while and went back upstairs. When I finished eating I grabbed the phone he got me and checked what says by the time. it was just 8 pm. I then decided to dial Maya's number because even though I was mad at her, she was the only true friend I've ever had.

She might seem like she doesn't give a damn about the world, but she cares deeply for those in her inner circle and she could do anything to ensure they were happy.

When we found out about the marriage contract, Maya even tried to take the burden of being the one to marry Little Man, but that didn't work.

So even though I'm mad at her, I couldn't stay mad at her for a long time.

"Hey Aya," I said into the phone after she picked up the call.

"Why do you always take out the M in my name Glam?" Maya answered back, and I heard her sighed into the phone.

"If I don't call you that, you wouldn't know it was me," I stated.

"You can't be serious Glam, I'd know your voice even in my sleep."

"yeah, I think I know"

"You know, you know, not think you know Glam. by the way, why are you just calling now and what happened to your phone you had everyone worried ya know?" Maya rants.

"What do you mean what happened to my phone? you didn't put it in my box like I had asked you to Maya."

"Oh, my sorry Glam I totally forgot to tell you I put your handbag in the car you guys rode as I thought you might wanna make use of it. I had kept it in the front seat."

"I didn't see it though," I said back unsure as to why our driver failed to give it to me when he dropped us at the airport.

" I put it there though. so, humor me how's your hot husband?" Maya asked and I imagined her wiggling her brows because she always does that when she's excited to hear gossip.

"I don't have one," I said with a roll of my eyes.

"You sure do girl I would have signed that contract and not you if I knew it involved a hot ass guy like that," she said with excitement in her voice.

" I would have gladly let you do that," I said with a serious voice.

"He seems like a gentleman though he even called me to ask me what's your favorite cereals," Maya announced clearing my doubts about how he had known my favorite cereals.

"Oh," I mumbled not sure how I feel about that. He is supposed to be an asshole that way I'll have no guilt for killing him.

I and Maya talked for a little while more and she asked how long we'd be staying here and I told her I didn't know before we said goodbye and ended the call.

I sat there, not wanting to think about what Maya had said about Mr. Husband.
