Third person's POV
Darhl drove over to the house that was filled with other vampires and only one fox which was Dale.
When he walked in, everyone turned to greet him as he walked down the hallways that lead to the meeting room in that house.
The house from the outside was a five story building with a penthouse.
Inside the lobby, a guy who was supposed to be the receptionist stood behind a counter dressed in a black tuxedo.
He bowed at Darhl the moment he walked in, and also the people seated at the lobby stood up to greet Dahrl before sitting back down.
The lobby was set like a five-star cafeteria with seats set around a round table.
There were three sofas around each table, and there were about fifteen sets of tables in the place because of how big it was.
The elevator was located at the wall after the desk of the receptionist, so Dahrl went directly to it and entered. He then pressed the p floor which was where the meeting room was.
The moment he walked out of the elevator and into the hallways, people that were standing there and those that were walking all stopped and bowed at him the moment he entered.
Darhl has a kind of presence that commands respect and that made him feared by everyone where ever he went. His presence alone sends chills running down everyone's spine even without him opening his mouth to say any words.
Darhl didn't greet them back he only continued to walk like a king, in between all the bows with a strong demeanour until he reached the closed doors of the meeting room in front of him.
He didn't reach out to open the doors because some else had run over to get it for him.
When Darhl walked in, the room already had a few people; which were vampires seated around the long rows of chairs and a large table that was curved in the middle, before extending to the second rows of chairs.
All the seats were filled except for the one at the head of the two rows, and one at the right side end of the row.
The chairs were arranged in two different rows, each row having about 10 chairs that were all arranged around the curved table.
All those seated around the table all stood up to greet Darhl when he walked in but he only nods once indicating that they could all seat down.
Darhl went over to the empty seat at the head of the row of chairs and sat down before speaking.
"Where is Larry," were his first words after he looked at the empty seat by his right.
"He was here only a minute ago, but no one saw when he left," A guy seated by the left-hand side of Darhl answered.
The guy was dressed in a red wine shirt and a blue jeans, and he was the same guy who called to inform Darhl about the fact that Larry was dead.
Darhl was about to say something when the doors to the meeting room opened and a dishevelled looking Larry came sauntering inside.
Everyone all turned to look at him, and he just raised his right hand and waved it as if to say don't even bother asking because I also have no idea what just happened.
He moved swiftly to the empty seat and sat down before saying hi to Darhl.
Larry is the only vampire who doesn't bow to Darhl which made the other vampires envy him because he was not even a born vampire, yet he has a status that was higher than that of all other vampires in that place.
"I'm sorry I came in looking like that, I have completely no idea how I got out of here and found my self about fifty kilometres away," Larry said sounding as if he was out of breath which was weird because a turned vampire doesn't breathe.
Darhl knew it probably had something to do with what the Dieza witch queen had done to him, so he remained silent, and appeared to be in thoughts of what she could have changed about him
"Did you already start without me"? Larry asked but no one replied until Darhl spoke.
"I think everyone here already knows the reason we are here right"? Darhl asked as he looked around all the faces seated around the table and they all nodded.
"Well you might already have an idea who I'm going to set to act as your leader here while I'm not around, because I wouldn't be in Bahamas as frequent as I use to be before," Darhl said in a monotonous tone and paused to hear their replies, but no one said a word, so he continued.
"Does anyone among you guys find it unappealing for Larry to be in charge while I'm gone," Darhl asked and then he looked at the guy on his left who's name is Bash, because Darhl knew if anyone was going to protest it would probably be him, but he remained silent.
Darhl waited for about a minute long but no one said anything, either because they were too scared to protest or because they didn't have any objection at all but it was probably the former than it was the latter.
"Well since no one has any objection, then Larry is officially in charge of the vampire community here at Bahamas, and Bash would be second in charge," Darhl finished saying, and then he got up and left the hall.
Outside the meeting hall, Larry rushes up to meet him and they both silently walked into Darhl's room at the penthouse.
The room was a few meters away from the meeting halls.
When they were both inside, Larry was the first to speak.
"I was dead, I thought that was the end of my immortality," Larry said fear evident in his voice.
Darlh only looked at him without saying a word, he only tried to check and understand what had changed about him but everything looks normal so he decided to ask him.
"What do you think changed about you," Darhl asked and Larry thought about it for a while before saying.
"Nothing changed really except for this," Larry said pointing to only changes he noticed...
