Chapter 2- A Teachers confidence

"Everyone please, stay together! form a group and stay vigilant!" Yuji said in a convincing tone, "as I said earlier, it won't be able to land any successful attacks like that if we're together,"

Unlike earlier, everyone followed what Yuji said and made a semi-circle with all of them facing the single Akuma.

The Akuma just stood in front of them with the dripping blood from the body of the sour-faced student and a glowing red pupil coming from its dark open eye.

"How did you know it wasn't going to attack earlier?" the ponytailed girl asked Yuji.

"I didn't,"

"HUH!!??" she reacted "then one of us could have got killed either way?"

"No... if it was a low-class Akuma it could have attacked us and one of us could have easily pinned it down and make the high-class student hit the head, and if it were a high class, it would just stay there and wait for an opportunity,"

"But... I thought that... Akumas don't value their life, except for... arch demons," the girl with the long thick hair asked in a shy manner.

"No, they don't," Yuji replied "Rather than protecting its life by retreating, they just look for ways to kill more people, like this one now, it's only waiting for a chance since it knows it will go down quickly if it attacked from these group,"

"so as long as we're like this it won't attack?" the afro hair student asked.

"No..." The teacher replied, " if it suddenly got the idea that it won't be able to get anyone, it would rather go down taking another with it..." She said, looking at Yuji.

Yuji nodded.

"so, if we wait too long one of us might die..." the red hair student said.

"that's not our only problem..." Yuji added, "with that thing coming from the main hall, there might be a lot more Akumas around the school, and worst-case scenario, if many other Akuma heard the noise that happens here... It'll be trouble..."

"so, what should we do?" the ponytailed girl asked, sounding worried.

"I know!" the afro hair student said as he had a sudden grasp of an idea, " why don't we all just walk backward till we reach that door over there by the courtyard?"

"The Akuma will just attack us once we reach the door," Yuji said in a manner of disappointment.

"Then how about we make a run for it?" the girl with the ponytail suggested.

"That won't work either," said the red hair student," that Akuma might be fast enough to kill more than one of us if we all turn our backs on it at the same time, am I right?" the red hair student stared at Yuji waiting for an answer.

With a surprised face, Yuji nodded.

"So... what should we do?" the long-haired girl asked as everyone looks at Yuji.

Yuji was struck silent for a moment

"that's...." as Yuji hesitated.

"That's if we ALL turned around right?" The teacher suddenly spoke.

Everyone took a look at the teacher and immediately realized the full situation.

"One of us has to stay behind," the teacher said, implanting sudden pressure and fear on everyone.

As everyone was trying to recover their senses, the red hair student was staring at Yuji with a straight face.

Suddenly realizing this, Yuji was struck with fear. He expected the worst situation to happen, where he will be picked to stay behind because unlike everyone else, he would be the most useless one and will only be a burden to everyone. even so, Yuji could not just accept that.

"I... " Yuji said with a shaky voice at the start, but quickly went back to normal as he continued his sentence, "I... know a lot about them...the Akumas...more than any student here... I believe, "he said in reply to the red-haired student's stare.

When everyone was having trouble deciding what to do, Yuji thought, "I... can't die here..."

"Stop making that face, all of you!" the teacher suddenly spoke up, "all of you go, I'll stay behind and deal with this,"

"But teacher... " the red-haired student said in deny.

"I'm going to stay behind, because I'm the only one who can take that thing down," the teacher said as she injected herself, "and plus, you'll all just hold me back anyway," she pulled out 6 mini knives with 3 on each hand in different forms.

"casting people aside, or even using them as a sacrifice, is no different from murder, you know?" as she moved in front of the group with a straight face, she said "Go... if we're lucky we might see each other again, " as the teacher said that, she did not show any signs resembling fear, but instead she was smirking as if she was confident on facing the Akuma.

After noticing that, Yuji turned around, followed by the others, they made a run for the door leading to the courtyard of the facility, an alternative exit aside from the main hall.

As the student came closer to the door, before the Akuma could do anything, three knives went through the body of the Akuma at a very high speed, but one knife which was supposed to hit the head got deflected by the sharpened flesh coming from the back of the Akuma.

"so that thing from your back is like a sharpened blade, huh?" the teacher said as she moved her arm forward, as if preparing to catch something.

As the Akuma took a step forward another knife coming from the back of the Akuma went through its body, moving towards the teacher's hand,

the teacher then catches the knife, making a hole under the Akumas neck, just above its chest.

"tsk, I was so close to getting the neck," the teacher said in disappointment, "oh well, seems like the students are gone now..."

"with the number of holes you got there right now, I wonder how long will you last," she let out a smile and held the knife with a tight grip "or will I be able to take you out before things get complicated, just like what that kid said..." she whispered to herself.
